Congratulations to him and the family. More blessings. Can't help laughing at the thought of KOK and his roles in Nollywood. ![]() |
ObiaboAdoka:Really? Is the Emir one of those suspended by a governor (I can't remember which state). Terrible indeed. |
Stinolexis:Way to go! The future is yours. |
May God comfort, strengthen and uplift those who lost loved ones. May LASG be abundantly blessed to replace all lost assets and to do greater things. It's a great pity that a successfull protest which thankfully brought awareness to Police brutality being suffered by our youth, ended up badly. Still, we have to acknowledge the good intentions before detractors and destroyers derailed the process. I feel that a suspension of the protest after SARS was proscribed would have been better. Unfortunately, young people then felt that it was a deadbeat idea from the "gbenudake" generation. Of course, that's due to the removal of history from the school system. We had our Aluta days and learnt so much. May the young be blessed with wisdom, be guided by God and be uplifted to take our Nation to greater heights. Amen We believe in you. Stay strong, focused and guided spiritually. The future is yours. The best is yet to come. |
How can people kill their own to spite another? I still don't get it. Very sad indeed. |
Indiscretion on her part. It's good to be careful about those we associate with. A guy who films a lady that way only to "mistakenly " upload is one to run away from. I feel so sad for her son. ![]() I'd rather not watch the "film". |
I bought a car through someone here. I've learnt a lot from various topics. NL is invaluable for job seekers. You get to know about the companies through others experience. Scammers are also easily identified. I introduced my children and they've found it useful careerwise. It's educating, entertaining and you have freedom of expression which unfortunately is often abused. My only grouse is the recent tribal/ethnic and religious "wars" being fought here daily. Most unnecessary in my opinion. There are good and bad people in every tribe. Stereotyping isn't right. NL of old had more matured minds. Maybe it's my old school mentality at play. Of course, the young shall grow and life goes on.Well done Seun. You can do more... |
Very sad. She suffered from the consequences of her her mother's sin. The mother shouldn't have left her behind. |
Thank God that he came out alive and well. |
Beautiful! May it bring peace, love, joy and progress into the lives of the orphans that will be taken in. God bless her caring soul. |
Everyone? Most of us don't. |
NGpatriot:Wow! Why are Nigerians so mean to themselves? ![]() I can't understand how anyone will be happy denying the masses of basic utilities just for their selfish personal benefit. Yet we keep blaming the government for lack of power. ![]() Height of wickedness really. ![]() |
ajl:This truly happens in the West. Crazy guys everywhere. ![]() |
Wondering why there so many cases like this now. So many perverts and probably mentally imbalanced men on the loose. SMH |
I thought cart pushers were banned in Lagos State. They are moving around now under the guise of "condemned iron" collectors. These days, one has to be very careful while walking or driving especially at night. So many steel manhole and drain covers are missing on our roads. |
Thomas Sankara was indeed a great leader. Let's hope that justice is done. |
ericprince:You should read the story. He went back to school. He got good contracts...etc. His story is easily verifiable. |
Whaaaat! |
Maybe it's in line with their faith. Still, it borders on child abuse. KWSG can do the needful anyway. I don't agree that this is the best way to treat a civil offender. Moreover, the punishment was based on an assumption which was found to be untrue. Perhaps the clerics will clarify on the best way to handle such cases going forward. |
She deceived you. That's a ground for divorce I think. That is assuming that you've fallen out of love. Accept responsibility for the child you "ordered". That's your fault. Live with it. You don't have to stay married to her to look after your child. |
That's wonderful! Abundant blessings to her from generation to generation. Cheerful givers never lack. |
MaXiK:May God guide you more and bless you both. |
Teerach:Please don't waste her time only to break her heart. Make up your mind soonest. |
Kehindeaj78:I see your point but it's wiser and safer to secure permanent accommodation for your parents if you can. It doesn't have to be a big house. Just small and comfortable for both of them in a good location. Remember that most parents here deny themselves of comfort in order to give their children solid foundation. Building your house (strictly for your new family) when they live in rented apartment in the same town just doesn't go down well with most African parents. Explain to wifey and jointly come up with a solution that will guarantee peaceful coexistence. Let your parents know that its a joint effort between you and your wife which means her parents have a right to stay there too! That could set them thinking and also shoot down all plans to see it as "family house" which brings in sibling right wahala. The issue in summary is that sending them out without a meaningful plan will not solve the problem. |
Most disheartening! I fear for Shiroro Dam workers and the residents of nearby villages like Zumba, Shiroro, Kuta etc. I remember Yikpata fish market (not sure of the spelling) beside River Kaduna which flows through the dam...Nice place, friendly and hardworking people. |
Sadly we didn't make good use of the opportunity she offered us to improve on the provision of electricity. I wonder why. |
Ego2:This is true. There have been cases like this including one in which a nurse confessed to having switched many babies at birth ...just having fun and creating problems for families. However, in this case, the child will also not have the mother's DNA so it should be obvious that the baby was switched. That's why men have to calmly predetermine their response in case the test result is negative. Many rivers to cross....a lot to consider. |
Only the guilty are afraid. There's nothing wrong with a man trying to confirm that a child is truly his. Women should be honest about it. Lives and emotions are involved. Besides, it's unfair to the child who may discover many years down the line. I remember the case of a Nigerian who saw his "son" through school up to Master's level in UK only for the son to fail a paternity test which was shown live on TV. Most disheartening! Thankfully both father and son agreed to stick together irrespective of the situation. His mum was no longer married to the dad anyway. Women, please stay faithful to your men. If you're not happy, opt out peacefully. Don't create lifetime problems by cutting corners. |
Too many jobless youths in town. Lagos isn't safe anymore. |
Justbehave:Hmm! This isn't such a great idea. Might be fun and convenient now but the latter years are also important. Talk to some responsible and experienced elders. I've listened to a lot of elderly men who are full of regrets... |
Hmmm! Hope this will not lead to regrets.... |
