Beautifully designed. Royalty par excellence. In the lighter mood, his robes look like Amotekun colors. ![]() |
malvisguy212:Maybe, maybe not. If he’s a drug addict, it may be due to temporary insanity. A lot of “could bes” . The security agencies need to carry out a proper investigation and make it public. |
I would like to know if anyone can identify him from his roots. Where is he from? His family, schoolmates et al. It’s good to know his motive for trying to bomb the Church. What happened to others on the list of Christians who have done the same earlier? It’s good to carry out a thorough check lest we find ourselves living with Christian terrorists. At least we know the stand of Boko Haram. What’s the motive of these ones? |
Abusadiq01:Sadly, you just gave a wrong impression of Islam. This is terrorism! Nothing peaceful about it. Hypnosis or Stockholm syndrome at work in my view. |
Speedybiscuit:I used to do that years ago. There was no bus, keke or bike to take one beyond stadium or the roundabout at Masha. Trekking happily all the way to Rasaq Balogun, Jalupon close and then UTC stores which stood where you now have Filmhouse Cinema (by Adeniran Ogunsanya shopping mall). Times have changed so much though. |
Larryd1987:It seems the cabs (kabukabu) and some minibuses are taking the place of keke. I passed through the route today. Unfortunately I didn’t stop to confirm details. Go to your usual bustop on Monday. You’re likely to find a means of transport there. The cabs are under the bridge towards Ikoyi. |
What I observed today is that there are now buses parked at some of the former Keke bustops. While passing through Obalende I saw mini buses by the roundabout and the Cemetery for instance. There used to be a lot of kekes and bikes there. None today. I hope the buses are there as replacements for the kekes to make movement easier for workers from Monday. I pray that the situation is not unbearable next week. Meanwhile offices need to consider having a number of staff buses to reduce the stress on workers. |
Probably one of the reasons for banning Okadas in some areas. |
Yet we say there are no jobs in Nigeria. Kudos to her. At least she’s creating employment and adding real value to the economy. |
Time to set up my own fair weather NGO. ![]() |
Osidazz19:Exactly. Hopefully no criminal will be tolerated. Omoluabis never cover up criminals within them anyway. There should be no justification for bad behavior from anyone. |
That’s one of the things stated by the conveners. They’re to uproot those yeye shrines in the forests just like OPC assisted in closing the chapter on Badoo in Ikorodu. |
The same Police that will be responsible for community policing! Hmmm! May God comfort his family as his soul rests in perfect peace. |
Please is this available in Lagos? I know it’s used for efo riro in the hinterland especially Osun State. Same with ebolo. |
BuhariAdvocate:It’s been reported in the news. Channels,TVC etc. The Governor was furious that no one has been arrested. He told the CP to arrest village leaders who should produce the culprits. |
Interesting! Our President is confirming that he has lost touch with the reality of our situation in Nigeria today. Very sad. ![]() Or maybe he was misquoted ![]() |
Clowns and propaganda! Read the verse in the Yoruba Bible. There's no Amotekun there. This fixation on Christians and stirring up meaningless issues will not augur well. Besides what has that got to do with the purpose which is to provide security? The people are focused anyway. |
grandiose4ever:Thanks for this quote from the Yoruba Bible. |
EfonAlaaye2023:It's so easy to say she should have lied. Have you forgotten that they would have asked her to pray as a Muslim or recite some Quran verses? How will that have been possible? |
Sterope:Even Mosques don't issue birth certificates to the best of my knowledge. Anytime a birth certificate is required for any reason, we know that many people who have none simply present sworn affidavits which are accepted under the law. |
0monnak0da:I agree with you. Those who intend to join like the Agbekoyas have stated that no salary structure is in place yet. No recruitment either. The idea emanated from the wishes of the people and harnessed by the DAWN commission. Any link to a website for now is fake! |
Sterope:Churches don't issue birth certificates. Many of the leaders of Agbekoya, OPC, Vigilantes and hunters who will form a core part of Amotekun are Muslims. Some of them have come out to speak against him on BBC Yoruba and Alaroye, a Yoruba newspaper. These tantrums will lead nowhere. He's here in relatively safe Lagos. Those in other States know what they're going through and have decided on a solution. Profs organisation can siddon look if they're not ready to help the people secure their environment. |
The earlier this is achieved, the better. It will impact positively on nearby communities and ultimately progressive development all round. Goods may be cheaper since the additional cost of transportation from Lagos with it’s attendant risk will be removed. It will create massive employment, reduce the cost of doing business and reduce rural-urban migration. On the flip side, the traffic situation in Lagos will improve. There’ll also be less pollution from tanker/ trailer emissions. Owo mi da guys will probably find other things to do. Win win for everyone. ![]() |
You're about to throw away a good woman only because of beauty which may fade. If you're at peace with her, marry her. Any woman can improve on her beauty if she so desires and can afford it. Help her to achieve that if it's so important to you. |
Hmmm! "Kayefi ni" as my people will say. |
Most unfortunate and very sad indeed. Misery will certainly befall all the criminals who are rejoicing over this or justifying this wickedness in any way. May God's grace abide with her always. |
Hope rising maybe but more progress will be difficult to achieve with the current level of insecurity. |
This reminds me of the story of Moremi Ajasoro a daughter of Offa married into Ife royalty who saved the Ifes from the Ugbos. |
Thank God. Good for everyone. |
It's just so sad that our society is degenerating so fast. This is looking very much like what happened in Syria with ISIS. |
byinks:Let's hope it won't be merged with Federal Community Police. That may defeat the whole purpose of including hunters, Agbekoya et al who know the nooks and crannies of the rural areas especially. |
toba1909:Amen. People are indeed remembering Ajimobi these days especially with regards to security. |
