"Ti sigidi ba fe te, aa ni kan gbe odun lo sodo lo we!" (Apologies. .can't translate directly.) Money often works hand in hand with the devil thereby pushing one to self destruction. |
There are many reports on the power sector. Many were indicted and are being investigated by anti corruption agencies. If OBJ is involved, he'll face the consequences. His meeting with El Rufai will have no impact under this dispensation. Maybe he was there for other reasons. |
princekalani:Funny! True that all the leaders who have been unproductive because funds are being siphoned into their pockets deserve long jail terms. |
JIDECAC:That's why OBJ became the President! Fighting battles is not only by noisemaking and empty threats. Those of us who remember the whole June 12 story understand better. |
Whether the story is true or false, one can always stroll down towards the car park to wait for an Uber driver. |
Why can't FAAN encourage the taxi drivers to upgrade? Competition is necessary for fairness and choice options. Compelling everyone to enter cars mostly with no A/Cs and at exorbitant cost is most unfair. Security wise, UBER is safer too. Any random guy with a bad motive can register to join the local cab operators which have no trackers installed. Airports should normally have options for bus and/or rail services as cheaper options. We have neither. Sad! |
Impressive CV. |
Coldie:At least he was ushered in with Felas music. Loyalty to the country that trained him and brought him to fame. What has Nigeria ever done for him apart from his being Nigerian by birth? |
Bikes were banned in FCT years ago by El Rufai. The riders (mostly Northerners) were sent back to their states of origin. People complained but nothing changed. It was for security reasons. At a time some other states banned bikes in major cities. People didn't make a big issue out of it. Why should anyone complain if Lagos decides to enforce the law especially with the crime prone nature of the city? These riders drive on unauthorised routes, disobey traffic lights, often reckless (including driving one way) and the government is expected to turn a blind eye? Besides the government has knowledge of the security situation at all times and may need to take proactive measures as was done in the raid of a BH hideout in Ijora a while ago. There's no need for bias in all these. People of all tribes ride bikes and anyone can be arrested if they break the law. |
Does he truly understand the contents of the social media bill? It runs contrary to the word of God. How do we accept killing of a fake news carrier but do plea bargaining for those who instituted poverty and death in people’s lives through the looting of our commonwealth? |
Odward:Words are powerful! May his soul RIP |
We're all living witnesses to what he did when DSS invaded NASS. Then he was acting as the President. That appears to be the root of his perceived problems in the Presidency. Besides, what can he do when the C in C is in charge? |
SoNature:Perhaps the States should investigate and try their looters so they can recover for the State. Kwara State has been working on how to recover properties from Saraki for instance. |
Jewessgratitude:There was Kingsway in Ibadan. We enjoyed it most around this season. Visits by train within to the grotto to see Father Christmas. Also UTC and Leventis in the axis. Fun filled holidays those days. In Lagos, there was Kingsway in Marina, Apata and Ikeja. Ditto Leventis and UTC. None in Ikoyi. |
Under bridge opposite the Surulere stadium is neat. Same with Falomo. The Obalende area was being redesigned with artwork and gardens before Ambode left. The roundabout under the bridge was where Tiwa had a show recently. Traders are back to the Moloney junction side now sadly. |
seniormallam:The idea is that you’ll do better in any chosen vocation or career with good education and better exposure. |
Congrats to him and his fellow comrade. |
Yet we blame the government for everything bad about the country! ![]() |
Sad that this goes on with impunity. |
Did he perform well in Abia as a governor? I hear about Peter Obi and the Ebonyi governor's great performances. Is Orji Kalu much better? |
He should propose it for Britain. Afterall we got it from Asia. It can go round the world. |
Kapeter:He'll have to invite the President, VP, Senators, Governors, Reps, APC party leaders, LG Chairmen, Ondo State Executive Council, Obas and Chiefs, NURTW, Market Leaders etc Remember the Ajimobi/Ganduje wedding in Ibadan (Agodi Gardens I think) and Kano. So many people attended. Not all children like the idea of having thousands of strangers at their wedding. Some opt for privacy which their parents respect. A lot of cost savings too as I have learnt over time. Its really not our business anyway. Their lives, their choice. |
back2sender:I don't know the whole area but I know there's a wide untared road in Lekki that leads to Landmark and other event centres by Oniru beach side. There are some paving stones sellers along the road. They're aware that they're doing business there pending the development of the road. No permanent structures along that path. |
Sagay212:You can always verify before you buy and build. Omonile, the lawyer has been doing a wonderful job in this regard. |
He observed how a Christian governor was corrupt but didn't remember the corrupt Muslim governors including the former pro Zamfara governor who instituted Sharia law in his State. As we have all seen, except we choose to be hypocritical, religion has little to do with our leaders behaviour in Nigeria. We've seen Alfas and Pastors engaged in all kinds of shady deals. The North with Sharia in practice, has not done better than the South in any way. The more we choose to emphasise those things that divide us the more problems we create for ourselves. |
Going by Aishas view, we should also have the anti corruption law of China in place for equity and fairness. All corrupt leaders will therefore receive death sentences! |
If the state has the capacity to raise funds this way, why cede it to a few people in the name of "union"? Meanwhile they also collect from traders and shop owners especially around major bustops. |
adexbols:Nothing near any of the dates I'm seeing here. Real old school. ![]() |
She did not stretch out her hand. Simple courtesy....A man shakes a woman whose hand is extended for such. She probably understands PMBs attitude to such and chose to let it slide. Why blame the President for this? |
The video shows that she did not stretch out her hand. Probably she considered the fact that he's a Muslim and may prefer not to shake her. That's my observation anyway. |
I can't see the open chest or am I missing something? She's fully covered in my view. I can imagine this man as a Sharia court judge. Women will suffer greatly. |
