Why can't the officials distribute street by street? Every area has a CDA and Landlords Association Chairpersons that can identify the poorest people in each neighbourhood. That's one of the methods in use by the World Bank. |
It's better that they were allowed in and taken to the Isolation Centre. If they're rejected and they sneak in through our open borders, we'll be in a bigger mess. All those testing positive now would have gone to their towns to infect many others unknowingly. The situation is better managed this way. |
This is not a solid plan that is suitable for our peculiar environment. Yes, we need face masks. Czech people produced their own face masks. What measures has he put in place to make that happen in Oyo IMMEDIATELY? There's no time to waste. Oyo people are truly O- Y -O! |
Hmmm! I fear for the future on this one..... |
Perhaps a new forum for older and more serious minded people..... Nairaland had greater minds generating interesting and intelligent discourse back then. Today it’s full of tribal bashing, social media influencers and religious bigotry. It’s most unfortunate indeed. |
God bless William and Nura in marvellous ways. As they have selflessly added value to our lives, so shall their lives be fruitful. They shall flourish and live gloriously from generation to generation. Amen Unlike some wicked people who will be busy finding ways to inflate contracts now to double our plight. You're forever blessed great guys! |
Thank God for his goodness. Thumbs up to LASG. Wishing him and others still in the centre perfect healing. |
kingxsamz:RCCG has ALWAYS been socially responsible. I'm not a member by the way. |

Etifinity:Many did cos they had the time unlike those in full time employment. They have to start with any available database. LASRRA came in handy. Those who like me pussy footed over it then shouldn't complain. (I tried to register once though.) This will probably create opportunities for more research and better strategies next time. BRF explained then that it's to provide a database that will make planning easier for the State Govt. Let's all (Lagos residents) key into it after the lockdown. It may provide a glimpse into unemployment statistics etc for better planning and results. |
nonny400:Incidentally, some of just helped a jobless widower whose life is in a great mess. |
Wolgrace:You're absolutely right. This is the time to be of greater help to our less privileged neighbours, family members and friends. |
I prefer the way she broke it down instead of cash payments to FG as some have done. This way, the funds will have a meaningful impact on the health sector. Kudos to her. Same way that GTB built the Onikan Isolation Centre instead of giving cash. AXA Mansard is providing insurance to some medical personnel and Mandilas provided Air Conditioning units for the Onikan Centre. |
He should go out and confront security personnel tomorrow. There's law and there's common sense biko. We should allow more people to get infected while they're working on new laws. |
We all need to help the poor more especially now that they're unable to earn any income due to the stay at home order. Kudos to them. God bless them much more. |
Na wa! Looks like this Imam is really angry... |
Dogonyaro has toxins though. |
He should have gone to the IDH, Mainland Hospital, Yaba. That is what the Commissioner has always said in respect of those who have symptoms. |
We're grateful to our gallant soldiers who give up everything and fight against all odds to ensure that we're safe. May God continue to protect, guide and preserve you all. I pray that you shall be victorious very soon. May God always comfort, strengthen and provide for you and your families. Amen |
The real slay queen! Kudos to her. |
Lightangel65:Actually it's a waste of valuable time and resources. He could have achieved significantly better progress by letting go early enough and diverting his energy and resources to fruitful ventures. God's revenge is really always sweeter. |
A truly selfless woman who rendered service to God and humanity. May God rest her beautiful soul in perfect peace. Amen |
I still wonder why people don't study the Bible themselves. Why does one have to rely on a Pastor for everything when he's a human being like us? God says we should seek knowledge. We all have the capacity to excel without full reliance on anyone if we understand the Word of God. Except for hypnotism, I don't see why anyone will believe the cock and bull story of their father sowing any seed. The fact is that many fake Pastors look out for vulnerable widows with assets to deceive. All he's after is the man's property. May he rot in jail. |
How about Super Eagles, Flamingoes et al? He should have proposed his idea during the public hearing. Too late in the day to change. Besides it's most unnecessary. |
Waiting for 2023 campaign maybe... ![]() |
They've been released. Thank God. |
Vanity! |
byinks:Hmmm! There’s been a lot of stories on this 5G issue. I sincerely hope that it won’t come with a devastating, long term, negative impact on our health. |
9jahotblog:Not at all. She's from the Ogbara family of Ikorodu. They're rich and well educated. She worked with International Merchant Bank those days. That's one of the highest paying banks in the 80s.... the big blue glass building in front of bar beach, Akin Adesola junction. (You can read up on that.) It seems that the press or people just want to run her down for selfish reasons. Go to CMS Grammar School, Bariga and see what she has done there. Also read up on her charity organisations for helpless young ladies, widows and their children amongst other ventures. She's a kind hearted woman who gives just as God gave her. Please note that I don't know her personally though I have seen her on some occasions being her humble self. |
It’s funny the way people like to call her a former hairdresser. It’s a wonder how educated minds can’t take the trouble to read her biography before making dubious claims. In summary, she’s from a rich and privileged background. She schooled abroad as a young child and later trained as a secretary in the UK. She was a banker for many years before she became a fashion designer which she’s still known for. Yes, she was a friend to Maryam Babangida like many others in the days of Better Life for Women. If she made good use of her opportunity unlike many men who sold their oil blocks or did nothing with it, I say tuale to her. An Amazon who is using her wealth to make an impact on many lives. God bless her much more. |
ayagha:It's best to come up with names of those that died. |
