I wonder why it's anyone's business who Sarakis daughter chose to marry especially when her parents are not complaining. People having headache over matters that don't concern them at all. SMH |
TruthHurts1:You're in no position to judge anyone. |
shaddoww:That may be a good idea on paper but there's no guarantee that the airlines will patronise Osun for maintenance. |
This is unnecessary in a state that is already overburdened with loans. Investment in agriculture and mining of solid minerals will boost the economy better. What's the volume of production that requires urgent airlift? The underutilised Ibadan airport is about one and a half hours away. Besides there's functional railway service passing through several towns in Osun. Aregbesola seems to be focused on huge capital projects which have not translated into improved economy for Osunlites. Even his education policy has brought more confusion than progress. Really sad times for Osun. ![]() |
Kogi state is so unfortunate to have the likes of Bello and Dino! May God bless the triplets mother with all she needs to maintain the family. Amen |
Debola and Chude are sources of inspiration to the youth. They have done so well. God bless them more. |
G1gbolahan:I did see some beautiful school buildings mainly on some major roads when i went to Oshogbo. However we now know better. There are still some dilapidated buildings in villages. Also check their current WAEC and NECO results. No student passed in Baptist High School Iwo for instance. The teachers have become part time farmers to augment their over deducted half pay so they can't give their best. Many young people there can barely communicate in English. The wise ones take their children to good private schools. Where really is the impact of opon imo? It's embarrassing, disgraceful and very sad that this is happening in the South West. Mass illiteracy is slowly creeping in while we bury our heads in sand to protect personal interests. Somehow i think the governor is being misled but it's never too late to retrace one's steps if one is not succeeding on a particular project. I wish Osun well. They deserve much better. |
CandidNotes:Hmmm! It's wise to avoid saying so much on what you know very little about especially with regards to his wife and brother. No one knows yet the whole truth about Davidos friends unfortunate death. Chime's dad for instance gave a different insight on his son and Olu. May God reveal all that is hidden. |
Northern Christians are truly brave. |
arleck:GMB married Aisha as an adult. Stop the false news. Always remember the law of sowing and reaping. |
Prayers above all else. Your mum should avoid reacting negatively. It will only drive him further away. You all should be nice to him as you pray hard. You said you're not spiritual. In this kind of setting, you need to be. A lot happens in the spiritual realm. Most of what happens is first settled in the spiritual realm. You don't need any babalawo. Do it yourself by learning to fight your battles as Dr Olukoya says. Even if shes diabolical, she's not more powerful than God. Just develop your spiritual self based on your religion, be righteous and in tune with God. Avoid sin, it's a good ladder for evil to arise. Remember we all have our bodies, soul and spirit. Thoughts, words then deeds. Learn more, work with it. You'll surely overcome. By the way, it may be temporary infatuation. Pray for your dad not to end up devastated and ruined since the lady's intention is not known. |
Lazy students! What's the purpose of being in school if you're not in class? |
It's good that they summoned up courage to come out and speak up for their son in the midst of all kinds of stories that don't add up. The Police needs to do more work on the investigation. Judging by this submission, this may be unrelated to Tagbos case. I pray that God comforts and uphold the family all through this difficult time and beyond. May Olu and Chimes souls rest in perfect peace. |
Unpaid teachers, school mergers, automatic promotion, single uniform, religous extremism, few trained teachers etc. Why won't they fail? That was a good school a while ago. He should hand over some of the schools back to the owners like it was done in Lagos. There'll be competition and improvement within a few years. |
Sounds like spiritual stuff. Powerful prayers in a spirit (holy) filled environment will solve the problem. That doesn't mean the opinion of doctors should be discountenanced. It's better and safer to avoid self appointed herbalists, spiritualists et al. You never know which one is a ritualist going by what we see everyday now. |
May God's grace abide with our soldiers always. They're sacrificing so much to give us peace. |
Many people comment on things they know not much about. The woman is eminently qualified.. Chikena! |
zinizta:Most people haven't even bothered to read her CV nor do they understand what CFA means in financial circles. They just assume she's a marketer. Becoming a Chartered Financial Analyst isn't an easy task. She also has other qualifications including an MBA, M.Sc. in Finance and Management and shes a Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst. How many people under 40 have all these put together? Let's give honour to whom it is due. She may not be the best but she's certainly qualified for the job. May God guide her and grant her all that she requires to succeed. Amen |
babaolofin:On the Alafin issue....one new lesson learnt. Thanks You're right on the culture issue too. |
Impressive CV. She deserves the appointment. She's definitely intelligent. CFA is not an easy professional qualification to achieve apart from her academic laurels. Even though there may be many other qualified people, only one person can be picked. It's nice having a younger woman from the same zone to replace Dr Sarah Alade. Perhaps it will serve as a source of inspiration to Northern girls. |
Saintsbrown:That's true. What does the Bible say about the man? You need to understand that to put things in proper perspective. Gender equality is not about having two captains in a home. It's focused on males and females having equal rights and access to basic needs in the society. E.g education, health, jobs etc. |

There's a particular leaf that a classmate used effectively to clear pimples years ago. She said her grandmum who lived in Ilesha then gave her. Her face was always smooth and fresh. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the leaf. Anyone who knows should inform us. Rore (re mi for pronunciation)(dot under the e) is the Yoruba name for pimples in case the information is required. |
Maybe their own way of seeking poverty alleviation rightly or wrongly. It's unfortunate though. By the way I think this was published by Punch newspaper last weekend. |
A virtuous woman supports her husband. It's God's spoken word anyway (Eve was created to help Adam). Proverbs 31:10-31 details the virtues of a noble wife. Even as friends and family, anyone who takes without giving when he has is mean and a cheat. That's entitlement mentality. Blessed are those who give for they shall never lack. It's a simple law of nature. |
There used to be different modes of dressing for various events. It's hard to draw a line now...modernity perhaps. Still these dresses look trashy for a wedding. Not classy at all. ![]() |
People should realise that cancer of the skin and kidney disease are possible fallouts of bleaching. Some chemicals in bleaching creams penetrate the skin as we're told. As long as one's skin is clean and glowing, the color is irrelevant. There are so many black and beautiful ladies. Such a pity. God rest her soul. |
I want to assume that she didn't marry all these men. Probably she just moves in with any boyfriend and gets thrown out within a short time. If her story about the red pepper is true, it may indeed be a spiritual matter. |
uhuogba:So true! Probably Trump got the message and stopped his earlier hatred (if what we read online is true) for Nigeria God bless Isioma much more. So proud of her. |
attention007:Students are allowed to split their payments in some private universities. Probably her mum and first sponsor thought they would be able to cope using that method. Above all, absolute faith usually works wonders. |
Funny comments. ![]() Joke can't easily lie cos she was born and schooled in Lagos. Anyone can find out her classmates at Holy Child College or Unilag to confirm her age. By the way, there's a 15-18 year gap (not sure) between him and Uncle Olu J. so using his age as a basis will be wrong. |
I pity the children. This exposure isn't good for them. Social media never forgets. |
