Wow! This is good. Kudos to the Adebutus and Gov Amosun. May God bless their efforts with resounding success. Amen Hope many of the tanker drivers will relocate to Ibefun and give Apapa residents some peace. |
IamPatriotic:Your evidence? By the way, she's been living in UK where her husband and children are. |
How come the Idejos who are Aworis own the land irrespective of the Oba? The Obas territory in reality is just the "eko camp" (Lagos Island) or more appropriately Isale Eko. The Oniru for instance seems to own and oversee land (outside government acquisition) from VI towards Lekki. Theres a story about how the Aworis migrated from Ile Ife to Lagos. Erelu is not telling the truth. Probably she's trying to safeguard the interests of the descendants of King Ado. |
@Op If you truly want to build a career in engineering, go for N-Build for training. You can sustain yourself with the barbing salon if your cashflow from that source is good enough. The banking sector doesn't have a career plan for contract staff. Ask those who have been at it for 5 years and more. Except you're converted to regular staff, you can easily be affected anytime there's need to downsize or they need new hands. However you have the option of developing yourself along that line by taking banking exams. You can also apply to other banks for regular employment with your current experience. If you choose to stay in the bank for immediate job security, there are technical institutions around where you can do short practical courses. You can also devote part of your weekends to learning from reputable technicians and artisans. There are many areas of interest in the engineering field and there's dearth of good hands. If you're really interested and devote your attention to it, you'll excel. |

Vickytall:Google Eko Farmer's Mart to check if there's one in your area. They sell a 50kg bag (Lake rice) at 12000 and it's very good. It's stone free nutritious local rice. |
Lake rice is 12000 and it is quite good. |
You fight against principalities and powers not people. We should understand that people can be possessed by good or evil spirits. |
Hmmm! I wonder if this is not murder made to look like suicide. |
Obviously Oando isn't the issue here as the SEC investigation of their books is ongoing and she's not stopping it. Perhaps Mounir Gwarzo should cooperate with ICPC to carry out their own investigation so he can clear himself properly. |
ikennaf1:Maybe you should find a way to alert the authorities or reliable NGOs like Mirabel Centre. The poor kid deserves a better life. In many cases the parents would have been told that they want to help their child and send him/her to school or learn a vocation. Anyone who needs a maid in the true sense of the word should employ an adult and pay the appropriate wages. |

Sad but true! I usually wonder why blacks are so crazy about designer stuff when we can be so creative and make people desire our own goods. We can be proud of our Aba shoes and bags with creativity, beautiful akwete, adire and Aso Oke but we're more interested in spending millions on so called foreign designer bags, shoes and clothes. Gucci et al everywhere in a nation of mostly poor people is so senseless to the whites. A very foolish way to spend money in the midst of so much poverty. We need to invest more in our nation and our people for us to experience true progress. Funny thing is that very rich whites rarely wear designer stuff. Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Mark Zuckerberg for instance. |
Interesting! Wonderful parents, great daughter! |
May God strengthen, protect and guide our devoted soldiers as they defend us against the horrible terrorists. May their families be blessed always. Amen |
An institution closed for so long will no doubt create idle minds for the devil's workshop. |
Perhaps some of them will be better off as soldiers if all the stories written here are true. Soldiers face aggressors. The Police is supposed to be our friend. The NGOs need to drum up support for the campaign to put things right not necessarily to ban SARS. We've had SARS for a very long time and they did well in crime management. Years ago i had cause to relate with them and i was quite impressed. They apprehended the criminals without stressing me one bit. Very polite and well trained officers then too. This new SARS baffles me. Harassment of innocent people is so unfair and dents the image of the Police. |
I can't help crying! I wonder why people assume that widows who don't cry are not pained by the death of their loved one. We react to situations differently. Shock and trauma have terrible effects on some people. She wisely consulted with professionals though which is the best way to go. If this photoshopping project will ease her mind a little, so be it. May God strengthen her more. God Almighty please be with this beautiful family. Let your light perpetual shine upon them. Make ways for them where there are no ways. Jehovah Jireh give them all they require to make them joyful in spite of their pains. May the soul of their beloved husband and father rest in peace. Amen |

Real success is not focused on one career. What i can deduce is that Dbanj is going beyond the boundaries, exploring new areas with a focus on the business aspect of entertainment and he's doing great. Every musician (like most careers) has a success lifespan. Investing in new areas is what guarantees lifetime achievement. Congrats to Dbanj. |
Israel had challenges of rocky and infertile land. They overcame it and today are one of the foremost countries in farming. Dubai was able to create water spaces and they have green grasses though it's ordinarily a desert. Perhaps we need serious focus on how to make ways where there seems to be no way. Initiatives, diligence and prayers combine to produce unimaginable results. By the way, i think we should consider converting Sambisa forest to one huge ranch with facilities for beef processing and millk production. That's a potential big enterprise that will have a great impact on the economy of the North. |
Wisebisho:Wow! That's terrible just like the OP's story. May God strengthen you and lift you up again. Please forget about ending it all. One permanent thing in life is change. Your star will shine again. People should open diaspora accounts here that they can remit money to directly. Whatever is given to family should be regarded as gifts which will not be recovered. Some reputable private estate developers have plans for diasporans too. |
A bit of confusion here. License to practice has nothing to do with the SGBN court matter posted above. |
That's why i don't believe most suicide stories. People are commiting murder and labelling it suicide. The Police needs to be more unassuming in thier investigations. |
If only Banky listened to Omotola. They should live their lives off social media. It's an uneccesary post! |
Almighty God please save Emeka and grant him total healing. Please be merciful and gracious unto him in Jesus name I pray. Amen Feeling so sad! |
There's nothing wrong in what the NUC boss did. He chose to give his son the best education that he can afford. Besides it's Ph.D not a first degree. |
Finally, all moral values have disappeared in our society! The days parents searched children's school bags for items that don't belong to their kids are far gone.Hmmm! ![]() |
25kg Lake rice (local) is 6,000 naira at Eko Farmers Mart. 50kg is 13,000 naira. |
They chose to kill a man who set up and managed the only hospital in their area which has now been closed down (as shown on Channels). Good luck to them. May his soul rest in perfect peace. |
