May God forever bless LKJ. He did so much and has remained humble to date. Housing in Lagos got easier with the massive building of low cost houses which were allocated on long term mortgage to average workers.

Lagos Island ended at Maroko before. The construction of the VI/Epe road (we used to go through Ikorodu/Itoikin to get to Epe) is the reason we have Lekki, Ajah etc today.

I remember that he stayed in his personal house at Ilupeju all through. He also used his own Toyota Crown car. No official car with lengthy convoys. A simple man in everyway.

There's no need to tribalise this. It happens in every Nigerian society. Maybe not drugs in other cases but other evil deeds. Some parents are donating their kids to Boko Haram to perpetrate evil and probably for financial rewards. Other parents look the other way as their kids become millionaires without any visible means of livelihood. Parents who encourage kids to cheat in school are already laying a bad foundation. Fraudsters, credit card scammers, human traffickers, kidnappers, robbers etc have families. In summary, in every tribe there are good and bad people.

There were taxis that used to pick more than one passenger at a time on the Ikoyi / VI routes. Truly I entered such a cab many years ago on Ahmadu Bello way but somehow escaped by God's grace. People should be wary of unpainted cabs (aka kabukabu) once it's not loading at the designated park.

Also avoid listening to those who claim to be on a humanitarian mission of whatever type. Shortly an accomplice will show up to verify the claim as the victim gets hypnotised.

Instead of focusing on how to do better in life and concentrating on her children she's spending valuable time searching for side chicks. Sadly this won't solve the problem, hubby will only get wiser.

The family has always been philanthropic and socially responsible. Davidos grandfather was a Senator in the 60s.

Great effort! May God bless the Adelekes for the scholarships they give the less privileged. It's the reason behind Ademola Adelekes success at the elections to replace his brother in the Senate. Late Isiaka and Deji Adeleke (Davidos dad) in particular have done exceedingly well for Ede indigenes as the people say.

Please talk to an elderly couple that your wife respects and who can handle your issue in confidence. Let her tell her dad why she quit her job so he won't blame you.
She's probably immature and a pampered child. If you love her and you're sure she loves you, be patient to nurture her to become a full grown woman. She's still behaving like a young girl going by what you wrote but can change for the better if you manage the situation well.

I once read about how Tara and Fela Durotoye were about to fall apart. They made amends and are still rock solid today. These appear like teething problems. You'll get by if you're determined. Don't start thinking of bailing out so soon cos it doesn't look like an unbearable or unamendable situation.

Does it really matter where he comes from? It could have been anyone with some loose nuts in the head. The point is that he committed a crime easily cos of the lapses in the American system. They knew he had issues which required attention and possibly there was need for surveillance but they chose to let him be. Sadly an innocent person died cos of the laxity.

It may sound harsh to you now but the best thing is to close that chapter of your life and move on to greater things. There's so much ahead of you. Get focused on how to succeed, seek God's favor and guidance. Be thankful that God has taken away a major distraction and obstacle to progress in your life. The right woman will come along as you keep an open mind and pray. You may not understand this well now and I can't explain in details. A single mother earns the respect of her child by standing strong as a mother. Pretending to be the dad will only make the child a subject of ridicule among his mates as he grows older. All the drama is unnecessary since the father has never given an indication that he doesn't love his son or that he's unwilling to care for him. An uncle could have followed her to the school as a father figure if necessary.

Above all, irrespective of the relationship between them, it's wise to allow each parent to play his/her God given role for sake of the child.
