GavelSlam:Okay. Thanks |
I hope the Police will carry out thorough investigation in this case. It will be so unfair if this guy loses his job for no reason. There's a lot to doubt in the attempted rape claim. That's not to say it didn't happen. While I'm 100% against sexual harassment in any form, I feel we should be careful about drawing conclusions until proper investigations are done. |
Only on Nairaland. Most likely fake news. |
May his soul rest in peace. |
Young people should be striving to take charge of running the affairs of this country. Alas they're more interested in other things..... |
francisbarrack:Also Dada estate and other estates around the Ring road areas. |
Great memories! A stroll from UTC to Kingsway then to Leventis was always fun. ![]() Hottest, richest and sweetest meatpie with coke during lunch hour. The very best! Father Christmas visit by indoor train through a chilled 'snowy' grotto was the ultimate at Christmas. Nothing compares with that in Naija today unfortunately. ![]() |
Hmmm! They're moving closer to the south. There's so much land in the North. Good irrigation facilities will make it easy to grow fresh grass all year round instead of crop destruction all over. Where's Dino who was 'shouting' a few days ago? |
Country hard! The youth are hungry. ![]() |
The story about Malia and Sasha not being Obamas daughters appeared on a fake news site. There's no point reading the rest of the epistle. Always remember that Google is your friend. |
So 10,000 hectares is 100 square kilometres! That may be larger than some local government areas I think. |
In PSquare's case, some people blamed Lola even after their lawyer came out to say their problems had nothing to do with any of the wives. In this case Amara is being blamed for intolerance and being uncouth. The reality is that if a wife gets publicly involved in a matter between her husband and his brother, be sure that a lot has been brewing for a while. Kanu probably silently supports his wife though the he may not have expected her to be this viscious. In all, it is wise for brothers to develop themselves and face their own homes. Being a dependant relative as a full grown adult (Ogbonna has kids already) isn't dignifying in any way. Yes, I believe strongly in maintaining the family bond but that doesn't mean that one family should never know peace or have their privacy just so they can please people who will never be satisfied. It's the same reason widows suffer so much. ...na my brother property mentality reigns supreme while the man's children suffer. We need to change the way we think. |
We were already used to clean streets before CleanerLagos/Visionscape brought 'dirtier Lagos' with their ill planned method. Those small dustbins and the few trucks are not enough to store/cart away the refuse generated in Lagos. They should have left the PSPs to operate in some areas since they were doing well on the average while they concentrate first on low density areas before launching out to other places. |
Not in a hurry with all the problems at hand! The statement 'fall my hand' abeg! Time for the youth to plan ahead. Too much time is being spent slaying on Instagram and other stuff like that. The youth are our future, they should wake up and arise to shine. It's wise to read the History of Nigeria from ages past to understand all that is at stake and know the best way forward. |
And they passed through several states to get to Abuja without being arrested! ![]() We have a huge problem on our hands. ![]() |
Hmmm! Division along religious lines in Yorubaland brewing? What exactly has been the positive influence of religion in governance? We've had Christians and Muslims as governors etc yet corruption only gets worse. It's time to focus on individuals irrespective of religion or tribe. By the way, how many Christian deputy governors have we had in Gombe, Kebbi, Niger and Borno states to name a few. There are large numbers of Christians in those states. People should remember that those who sow the wind will reap the whirlwind. |
Congratulations to her. May she continue to rise and shine to God's glory. |
Peul ethnic militia are from Mali. The question is why are they here and who brought them in? |
Interesting! The Tor Tiv and other Benue traditional leaders are under the Sokoto Caliphate? We're learning so much these days. |
blackbeau1:I see your point but it's easy to come to that conclusion when you're not the parent. Sadly it ain't easy getting a closure in such a situation. |
It just reminds me of the article Blacks are still our slaves. Why does anyone need a 1.1million naira pyjamas to sleep? Designers just cashing in on extremely rich stars and blacks that need to feel important. Call it bad belle but seriously we appear foolish to the developed world that gives us aid when we spend on inanities while the majority of our people wallow in poverty. There's so much poverty in Africa. We need to be focused more on our society. That's the only way to stop the likes of Trump insulting us everytime. Still i wish them well. May they continue to slay in peace. Na dere money, make dem spend am anyhow. |
DieBuhari:Of course I always have enough data. The pictures were neither clear nor stable so I couldn't watch much. |
The parents are probably unhappy that she brought shame to the family. It's not an unexpected reaction from poor and unenlightened people. All they are seeing is a thief who has compounded her problem by having a child outside wedlock. Someone who steals anything whether valuable or not needs help badly. Abandoning her isn't a solution. I pray that those who offered to help her will succeed in rehabilitating her and subsequently reunite her with her family. |
This is terrible and so unfair if true. |
mesoprogress:Google Hausa City States, Hausa history, Uthman Dan Fodio jihad. You'll learn a lot. |
Interesting! |
dondavinchi:Not exactly so about Muslims. Things have changed lately. There's Sunni, Wahhabi, Sufi, Shi'ite, Boko Haram, ISIS, Al Qaeda etc all claiming to be pious Muslims. The reality is that they're all interpreting the Quran and Hadith differently. For Christians, the Holy Spirit ministers to us differently. Our levels of understanding differs too not to mention the deliberate twisting of the scriptures to suit personal objectives in some cases. God's words remain the same no matter what. |
Wow! This is terrible. |
@Op You're old enough to take your own decisions. It's always wise to honour our parents but your life matters too. Let your mum understand that children are gifts from God. Age isn't the only reason for delay in childbearing. Besides technology has made things a lot easier now where there are problems. Don't allow anyone kill your joy IF you're very sure that you made the right choice. |
Hoping for a new party with younger and truly focused people. I'm tired of old wine in new bottles. Same old story all the time and the looting goes on... ![]() 'It's time for the youth to take their destiny into their hands and plan for the future. |
Hmmm! This noise about Churches everyday....so it happened that Christianity was wiped out in Turkey. |
A lot happens in the spiritual realm far beyond human understanding. Ori is very important in traditional religion as taught in Social Studies/Yoruba in the past. There are enlightening books on 'destiny' written by Dr Olukoya of MFM. Those who are interested in knowing more about it should read some of the books. You don't need to be a member to learn from them. |
