What! |
How come the murderers up North (Benue, Kaduna, Taraba etc) are never caught? It's so depressing seeing people killed daily while it's explained off as reprisal killings on both sides as if that is permitted under the law. |
Sadly the youth who own the future rarely read and comment on posts like this. At least, ideas should flow on the way forward. Today's leaders started out when they were young. They're still in charge 40-50 years down the line. Whosoever removed history from the school curriculum did us great diservice. There's a lot to learn from the stories of the old leaders. Great pity! |
The attacks are becoming too many and his silence is deafening. I feel so sad for Northern minorities especially. Tales of woe all the time. ![]() |
Sometimes I wish we could find a way to modernise mud house construction. The truth is that it's better for our environment. It's cheaper and doesn't absorb heat like cement structures so it's always cooler. Aethistics and durability are the major problems. Perhaps stabilized red bricks can serve the same purpose. |
Apparently you didn't read the story. |
ekems2017:State Governors can free some category of prisoners. You don't need Buhari to do that. It's done regularly in some states. |
Sad if Lai Muhammed truly said so. |
Wow! So sad. May God uphold the family as his soul rests in peace. Please delete as requested. |
Discuss with family and friends who were present when you said no. You didnt have to say an outright no in front of everyone when you know that you love him. You could have told him privately that you love him but you need time to work things out properly. |
This is terrible! Messing up a bride on her wedding day is soooo wicked!! |
Thank God! |
Very good initiative with great result. God bless Stella and Abass in wonderful ways for touching lives. |
The quality of the mattress is what counts. Both are okay at the level you chose. The cheaper versions of both don't last long. |
Zenith Bank with 80% is embarrassing! They should avoid giving themselves a bad name after all these years of being one of the best. |
The reality is that he worked hard to get to this level. It's not about money and sentiments. He had the support of some African statesmen including OBJ. He was also smart enough to go back to school to become a graduate. Wise and humble guy! |
May God keep them safe and grant them victory. Amen |
@Op Find a way to get your sister into a drug rehabilitation centre as soon as possible. You could contact some NGOs and psychiatrists for advice and assistance. She needs to get off drugs before she can listen and understand what you're saying. Prayers with positive action does wonders. Remember that faith without works is dead. I know a man who succeeded in deceiving his son to get him treated at the Psychiatric Hospital Yaba. Hes not even so literate but he's enlightened. With careful planning and the support of caring people around you all will be well. May God answer your mum's prayers for her. |
That's too petty. . ..cruel as a matter of fact. |
adeolakemi:Wow! So much hatred. Remember that thoughts become words and could translate to action...beware of your thoughts. Do unto others as you want done to you.....the law of karma is so real. Be careful. |
May God bless her and her family abundantly. She's foever blessed. How come other marketers want a price increase? Greed or she's getting her supply from a different source? |
Fake pastors everywhere! |
Wow! Quite detailed and enlightening report. Brave girls! It's sad that some of them are dead. May God strengthen and guide them as they're reintegrated into society. I pray that the others are released soon. We should also remember that many other young boys and girls have been kidnapped by Boko Haram and are being used as suicide bombers. Many are dead. Terrible war! The earlier there's total victory the better. May God guide and protect our devoted soldiers always. |
Banking issue has now been turned to a tribal war. ![]() |
Yakubu Gowon did very well despite his young age then. He was a bachelor when he became Head of State at 29 years. So much to learn from History yet some people chose to take it out of our schools. ![]() It's obvious that most young people argue blindly due to ignorance. It's wise to read widely to learn from many perspectives. Sadly many young ones rely mostly on the stories as told by biased and bitter elders who are still focused on quarrels of decades past. I pray for a better detribalised future for the country restructured or not. |
Origin:The standing rules of the Nigerian Law School are clear and she can't claim ignorance. Until it is changed, anyone who doesn't comply has broken the law. It's a matter that the Islamic organisations could have dealt with privately and diplomatically instead of encouraging flagrant disobedience. A lawyer who lacks discipline can't hold her head high at the bar. Besides she had a choice not to study 'secular law'. Sharia law exists in our constitution and it's being practised. It's an option that's more faith friendly for her. There are Muslims who avoid studying English Law cos it is considered Haram. |
He's right. Paying tithe is a matter of choice. It's not compulsory. Tax is compulsory. The country's resources are a joint heritage. We need to monitor how it is spent. We see our polithiefcians becoming multimillionaires overnight and do nothing about it. They even flaunt their designer stuff, new mansions, exclusive luxury cars etc and people hail them. Some of those grappling with poverty as a result of this still fight on their behalf cos of crumbs from the table. For instance, Governors are owing salaries and pensions yet there's no impeach xyz Governor hashtag. We have a long way to go. |
This is really sad! It shows that he's not safe within the family circle. If those who want to eliminate him are still in the village, the prison appears to be a safer place. If he's still a minor, (juvenile as stated in the report) why not put him in a remand home for reorientation and his safety? With this type of background, if he's left alone, he'll quickly go back to crime if he doesn't get killed. I feel pained that the judge did not consider his submission deeply enough. His life is clearly at risk because of the desperate land grabbers who he's being sent back to. ![]() |
Didn't she know or understand the rules before going to Law School? She should have protested earlier to initiate a change in their rules if possible. She had a choice to keep to the standing rules or wait until they're changed. This is just unnecessary drama. So many Muslims have passed out of Law School without any issues. |
A state where civil servants and pensioners are living in penury? I don't understand. |
dhamstar:This isn't true. The rice is quite okay. Well milled, no stones. That's what I've been eating apart from Ofada, Igbemo (Ekiti), Ilesha and Abakaliki rice. Our local rice is far more nutritious and natural. Sometimes imported rice is over processed and preserved with chemicals. Above all, buy Naija to grow Naija. |
Nice one! God bless Peace much more as she progresses in life. |
