africanusvu:The Civil war derailed his dreams. He later graduated from University of Ife and has a Ph.D. |
This is terrible! Relationship na by force? Thank God she showed her true colour in good time. The brother still needs to watch his back though. Hope the incident was reported to caution her at least. I think she needs to visit a psychiatrist urgently. |
All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small.......the Lord God made them all. Truly amazing! |
May God rest his soul in perfect peace. May He comfort and uphold his family and friends. Amen Three powerful gbosas to the Nigerian Armed Forces.!!! May the Almighty protect and guide you always. |
For those in search of local rice, there's local rice in some stores and markets in Lagos. I know it's available in Otto and Oyingbo markets. Just ask the traders (preferably not imported rice sellers) they'll show you where to get it. |
Royalfurnitures:Ask those who grew up or served in the rural areas of the core North. They're taught in Hausa mostly. The few who get into tertiary institutions learn in the pre degree year. The children of the elite or exceptionally brilliant ones attend Government colleges and private schools where English is the medium of expression. By the way those now in Atikus international school and the ones taken to the US now speak English. Exposure and a good learning environment are key to better performance. |
Very interesting and educative thread! I can see it started from the days of thought provoking and sensible posts on Nairaland. Great days indeed! @londonstreetboy I wish you the very best. I pray that the people of the Middle Belt are able to live together in peace irrespective of tribe and religion. The Yoruba experience... After many years of wars, a settlement brought Ijeshas, Ekitis, Egbas, Ijebus, Oyos, Ife, Ondos, Aworis etc together as Yorubas till today. Many who became refugees as a result of the war were assimilated in new locations as long as they agreed to live peacefully e.g. the Owus scattered in different directions but mostly towards Abeokuta. There are distinct cultures, dialects and religion but we have learnt to live in peace to a larger extent. Problems still come up e.g. the more recent Ife/ Modakeke war. Somehow solutions are found with prayers and a genuine will to continue to live in peace. The willingness to subdue minority interests for group interest is key. Without peace, there is no progress. I hope the different minority tribes in the Middle Belt can come together to agree on how to have a common bond other than tribe or religion. As long as those two factors play a major role in decision making, it will be difficult to find a lasting solution. May God guide and uphold you all as you strive for peaceful coexistence. |
slimdiggi:No she didn't! |
So disheartening! May his soul RIP |
adeyak83:Amen! Still we need to work against the wicked plan as fast as possible. |
I don't think there'll be anyone with the title of General Controller at their Head Office. That sounds vague. @Op Please consider writing to the Zonal Coordinator SW (most likely in their Ibadan Office) or the Managing Director. If you know anyone who can be of assistance in Abuja, it's wise to pay a visit to the Head Office for clarification and solution. I'm not a staff of FMBN nor am I speaking on their behalf though. |
12inches1:Someone who is importing a 2015 vehicle is far from poverty. The idea is to tax the rich to generate more funds for projects that improve the quality of life of the poor and vulnerable. |
This is terrible! |
sisisioge:@Op The truth is she'll get used to doing without yoghurt if you're strong enough to weather the storm. That's how I handled my kids when they were very young. Make sure she's in a comfortable position to cry herself to sleep so she doesn't get hurt while throwing tantrums. Ignore the noise, she'll get tired and calm down after a while. If she gets used to holding you to ransom, it will only get worse as she grows older. That's how unruly, self centred and inconsiderate kids are bred. Avoid it. Like my mum used to say, ekun o ki npa omode. ( Literally -Weeping won't kill a child). |
egbaguy2:This doesn't stop her from having kids. So many modern ways with the abiding grace of God.....Google is your friend. |
Funke will have her own child by God's grace. Nothing is impossible with Jehovah Jireh, the Alpha and Omega. No hungry pastors seeking attention and relevance can stop the hands of God when it's due season. It's so annoying that anyone will come out publicly to pronounce evil with regards to someone's private life. A reasonable and godly pastor should be praying for her not increasing her pain. ![]() |
Thank God for her life. Maybe she should consider further training in hair and beauty stuff for gainful employment. She used to be a hair stylist according to earlier reports. |
duni04:Obviously you didn't read the post. Are you saying every worker being owed salaries should simply kill their employers? The fact that you know one "big man" who's not kind to his workers doesnt mean that the same applies in this case. Too many fake stories about the incident. May God rest her soul in peace and comfort the family. Amen |
Cursed are those who take advantage of widows, the fatherless/motherless and orphans. ![]() |
People should try to read before commenting! She's not an intentional bomber. The girl said she was kidnapped by BH. Probably she was drugged and brainwashed. She may not even understand the full implications of what she was doing. May God protect, guide and help our military put an end to all these BH battle issues. Amen God bless our Armed Forces and the Civilian JTF!! |
She looks better with less make up. |
This drug made a significant difference in the life of my cousin. She was always having crisis and life was difficult for her parents who had lost two children to sickle cell. We got to know about the drug through someone who linked her up with a charity organisation run by a former first lady who used to give free supplies to some registered sicklers. She's now a professional, happily married with two kids and quite healthy. I don't know if it works for every sickler but that's my own story. |
Thumbs up to you! God bless your effort. |
True story. Anja is a wonderful lady. She won an international award recently for her humanitarian work in Nigeria. She's married to a Nigerian. Her son is in the second picture not Hope. Hope looks completely different now from what you see in the first picture. Search Nairaland. Her story has been reported here several times. |
Simply do to your mother in-law what you want your future daughter in-law to do to you. As you lay your bed, so shall you lie on it! |
The guy came for a Lagos\ Oniru\ Eko Atlantic sponsored Agriculture Seminar a short while ago. I was very impressed. He's so knowledgeable about farming. God bless his efforts more. |
fragrant:Amen! God bless our soldiers and their families. May they be safe and secure as they're guided to victory. |
I hope this isn't entirely true. The point is BH, Al shabab, ISIS, Al Qeada and others are all in the same category. Do we then assume tbat hes invoved in all the terrorist organisations? It seems there are efforts to force GMOs down our throats. We must not allow that to happen. Organic foods that we have are the best. |
Congrats to you and our beautiful sister...adumadan Ekiti kete. ![]() May God bless your marriage marvellously. Amen |
Acecube:I bought the paste when tomato was scarce and outrageously expensive. I simply wanted to be patriotic plus the fact that I'm always wary of Chinese food imports considering the many horrible videos in respect of that online. RIC GIKO was nice and better than most of the imported ones I compared with. This move is bad for our economy whichever way we look at it. |
May God rest his beautiful soul and those of other gallant soldiers in perfect peace. God will surely care for their families. Our selfless and courageous soldiers are striving so hard to protect us. Overflowing blessings to them by God's grace. Amen |
