This is so sad! I don't understand how anyone can be happy stoning a helpless old woman to death. Sometimes I feel that Nigeria is a country of many nations. This shouldnt be happening in a sane society. It's a criminal offence and should be treated as such. May her soul rest in peace and may God comfort her husband and family. |
Many more glorious years to the lovely couple. |
If Annie had kept quiet, we probably won't know that TuBaba went to US to see his kids. The children have a right to see their dad whichever way. She knew about the baby mamas and the kids before accepting to marry so what's new that requires so much noise on social media. It's the children I pity in this show of shame. |
Congrats Teeshafoods! So happy you delivered safely after all the stress. May God bless you and your family much more. Please let your mum stay with you for now. She needs to be at peace and have time to recover psychologically. GBU |
When former governor Tinubu handed over Igbobi College, St Greg's, Ansarudeen and some others back to the owners, it didn't affect free education in public schools. Rather standards improved because there is now room for competition. The government focused on fewer schoo!s and facilities have improved over time. How does having so many schools churning out semi literates impact positively on society? Students that leave school with grades that take them nowhere. Check the WAEC results for Oyo state. I had part of my secondary education in Ibadan in a girls school that has produced so many professionals and women of calibre and integrity in society. Today it's a total disgrace in terms of academic performance and morals. I've been there a few times and each time, I leave with a heavy heart. I do my bit but it's a drop in the ocean of needs. If a few schools (government says a small percentage will be on PPP) are taken over and people see a clear improvement in student performance, I think it will be worth the effort. |
DifferentBoy1:I've been to PH and was really disappointed. That's not to say Lagos is perfect- far from it but improving day by day. |
We've been informed that the tomato farms were attacked by some pests which ruined the farms. Sorry I don't have the link but I think there's a similar report on LIB. (Linda's blog) It's the reason why Dangotes factory has been temporarily shut down. No tomatoes for processing! |
All said and done, I'm happier with Nigerian organic foods. Tastier, more nourishing and definitely safer for us. |
Amen to the prayer! I'm happy there's some progress now. All will be resolved to God's glory. May God grant you safe delivery @ Teeshafoods. |
Some rich Nigerians would rather invest outside our shores. Afterall one of the loudest militants chose to build a university in another African country instead of developing and creating employment in his "marginalised" area. I won't be surprised to find that some have built refineries in other countries while we struggle to import cos our government refineries are not functioning well. It's good to give back to your society before venturing out. Ile la to nko eso rode. |
Simple follow up of the news shows that the "husband" is still with the Army while the person that went to the villa with her is a brother in our local parlance. Reading news from various sources with an open mind helps one to discuss intelligently. Be careful what you wish yourselves. Karma is real. Amina is said to be the only surviving child out of 13 in her family. Other siblings died in their early years according to her mum. Probably the reason her distraught dad died months after she was kidnapped. To all those who insist it's a scam, may God open your eyes to the truth. Too many nitwits on NL these days. ![]() |
God bless the Ooni! Ki ade pe Lori, ki bata pe lese. Igba Odun, Odun kan! |
All will be well by God's grace. Somehow I still wish she could leave his house even if for a while so she can have the chance to really appraise her life and see if she feels good staying with him. Well done Teeshafoods! Wonderful unrelenting support Andyanders. God bless you. |
Andyanders, God bless you much more than you can imagine. |
@Teeshafoods Please get a doctor to see your mum. Don't talk to her about leaving your dad. Just tell her she needs to solve the blood issue. She'll be free to go back thereafter. By the time the doctors are through with her she'll be singing a different song. Make sure she's admitted so you have an opportunity to get social workers to see her. Get in touch with DSVRT- The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team at Ikeja. I don't know the specific address unfortunately. Also raise the issue on Jimi Disu's blog. He's interested in helping people in her situation. You can also try the psychiatric hospital at Oshodi. She's not mad but certainly psychologically devastated and terribly depressed. I continue to pray for you and the family. |
Very sad story! Andyanders God bless you marvellously. You've done so well. Seems there's some secret shared by the parents which they are not talking about. The woman sorts of feels eternally bound to the man. I wish they thought of taking her to see a doctor/ psychiatrist when she turned up on her own. Such a great pity. @Teeshafoods Keep praying and working. God can turn around any situation to His glory. |
Please see a doctor and do a thyroid function test. I know that an over active thyroid can cause sleeplessness. Try taking chamomile tea at night also. Read your Bible/Quran and pray when awake. Note that I didn't read through all the posts. |
The guy probably needs psychiatric care. It's not only naked and unkempt men on the streets that have mental issues. Being a drug addict (if he is) compounds the situation. Arrange a visit to a psychiatrist if other family members agree. It may do him a world of good. Remember that not everyone who visits Yaba left is really mad. Mental issues come in different forms. I pray that you're able to move your mum soon. Leave an instruction that he should not be allowed into your premises if he remains the way he is. |
Why can't he simply defend himself instead of throwing tantrums all the time? He'll earn a lot of respect if he can prove that he's not guilty. Some of us are more interested in the case not all these side shows and unnecessary drama. |
Fashola ALWAYS stopped at the traffic lights. Nothing new. |
Wise decision. God bless TyBello, Sijibomi and her other helpers. |
Unnecessary debate really! Each man to his choice. Employers don't care about this, they deal with individual performance. |
Hmmm! |
May God protect and guide you always. You won't die but live to glorify His name. You're blessed. |
Sadly some Igbos are involved which makes this a lot harder to resolve than Ese's case. Maybe financial benefits are derived in this "business". I feel so pained that young girls lives are being messed up so badly. The problem is how do we tackle hypotism under the law. I'm not sure it's recognised in law and tenable in court. Her being a minor is the only way but she's now contesting her age with her mother! Any birth certificate or at least certificate of baptism? The uncle pretending to be the father (maybe for financial benefits) is another matter. Amazing things are happening. Lord help us. |
This is sad. May God heal Queen physically and emotionally. |
So how come 5.6m was paid as ransom and the girls came back on their own? Difficult to believe though there may be an explanation for this mix up. |
Please is there any information on PAWN Homes Lekki? I received an advert by email and want to clarify if it's genuine before someone close to me buys. |
Dbanj delivered for Slot remember! Marketing strategy is all I see. God bless Jumoke more. |
Onion, garlic, ginger and iru (locust beans) are good enough for seasoning |
