TooMuchStuff:
How many states in the North are Muslims dominated?
Kaduna
Nasarawa
Kogi
Plateau
FCT
Taraba
Adamawa
Benue
Gombe
These are states with more than 51% Christians population

............'Kebbi and Kwara are states with over 30% of its indigenous population of Christians.
So there u have It. Just 9 states with more Muslims than Christians and other religion.
There are more indigenous Christians in Kaduna state than Moslems on the Plateau, please take note.
Secondly, Taraba is dominantly Christian, same with Benue. Most indigenes of the FCT are Christians too. I'm from Kwara and I can tell you, the ratio is almost at par.
You've definitely not been to these places.

Very very development. Very soon there will be no single Church in the whole 19 states that make up Northern Nigeria. CAN will cry and wail but the dead will be done. Trust Muslims, we pay good for good and bad for bad just as Moses commanded in the Bible. You cannot be doing evil to me and expect me yo repay you with good, I am not Jesus and I am too small to compare myself to Him(Jesus). An eye for and eye, and soon the whole world will be blind, then everybody go get sense and we redo from start.
If you're counting Kwara, Kogi, Benue, Taraba and Plateau as one of the 19 states in the north where there will be no single church, you're deluded.

DISCOS reject power from GENCOS because ...underbilling. means they cannot make enough of a profit to pay GENCOS.

Then there is the fact that we need money in the hundreds of billions to fix power. Price controls is not the way forward to raising the cash.
Before they stop price control, it is imperative that the DISCOS live up to their responsibilities.
I mean people still still contribute to install electrical equipments in Nigeria. From transformers, poles, wires, I to even having to pay DISCOS for installations and repairs, something that supposed to be their responsibilities. You can't expect a neighborhood to purchase its own transformer while you, a private company, get paid. This is business, and investments in infrastructure is key. Making prepaid meters available is also important before hiking the tariff, otherwise most homes will be getting bills for living in darkness and these so called DISCOS will claim Nigerians are owing them. Why should anyone pay N11500 monthly for nothing at all? Nigerian homes are not charity organizations na.
The DISCOS are rejecting loads from the GENCOS. Do the consumers have the privilege to reject the estimated loads the DISCOS are passing to them?

True, the yoruba dialects of Kogi shouldn't be classified as distinct tribes.

As for Tula, check again, I think they are considered different from Tangales even though they may be related.
I thought Tula people are Tangales.
PoliticsRe: The Full List Of All The 371 Tribes In Nigeria by DeOTR: 10:45pm On Aug 19, 2019
Nowenuse:
You and Ceaser500 need to know that Gombe was formerly part of Bauchi and this list was created before the 1996 state creation.
Well it's true, but Tula is not a tribe, it's a Tangale town.
Also, Owe, Yagba, Okun and Bunu in Kogi state are being listed as separate ethnicity from Yoruba.
Owe is the dialect of Bunu people if I'm not mistaken. The two was listed separately.
The list is over bloated by including different dialects that should have been parts of larger groups and even including names of towns and villages in some cases.
Since Kogi state was included as one of the states where we can find Yoruba people, then Owe, Yagba, Okun, and Bunu should not be on the list.
PoliticsRe: The Full List Of All The 371 Tribes In Nigeria by DeOTR: 3:42pm On Aug 16, 2019
Owe, Okun, Bunu and Yagba are listed as separate ethnicity then the poster went ahead and included Kogi state as one of Yoruba speaking states. Which Yoruba speaking people come remain for Kogi aside these four?
These mentioned groups do not qualify to be called English separate ethnicity because within the Okun Yoruba subgroup, we have Owe. The Bunu people speaks Owe. Okun is not even a language per se, it's just a way of greeting. These four listed here have no business being on the list. They're all Yorubas.

PoliticsRe: What SW Govs Did Not Have Balls To Do; Done In NW Already! SW, Shake Your Fears by DeOTR: 12:22am On Aug 03, 2019
MetaPhysical:
Fulani herdsmen in SW always carry arms. How many has had himself to blame? None...never! Not even the ones known to kill.

There are three wars in NW.

1. Fulanis herd livestocks but Hausa farms. There has been widespread herdsmen/farmers clash up in NW long before it even recenty became an issue in Middlebelt or South. Fulanis are expected to pay communities when farms are destroyed but they quit doing that. Farmers in turn started exacting recompence by forcefully taking cows from herds. This is how cow rustling started.

2. The dispute remained unresolved for a long time and cow rustling became a widespread problem even in unjustified cases. People started stealing cows for the least grievance against fulani. It led to physical assaults between Hausa and Fulani attacking each others villages to vent anger. Now the Tuaregs in Niger and Libya who lived on ambushes and kidnaps in the desert were attracted to Nigeria because of human trafficking. Their modus operandi is assault attacks with high grade weapons. Some of them were mercenaries on many conflict fronts in Libya, Tunisia, Mali...and so on. They would raid villages in North North ( grin grin grin....my SS brothers go like this one ) and kidnap their young girls into prostitution and cartels shipped off to North Africa for forced marriage or profit. This human trafficking route became popular and our people in South saw it as a way for quick entry into Europe and began falling for scams that recruited them into same syndicates penetrating from Zinder to raid villages in NN.

Can you see how these atrocities are all inter-linked?

The marauding Tuaregs introduced ak47 to Fulani. Fulani started acting the ways of the Tuaregs and some even abandoned herding and went into raids, robbery and kidnaps. It is very rewarding and no penalty. No one messes with you but you can mess with everybody and anybody....including police and army!

3. Zinder people are ethnic Hausas, same with Agades, both are in Niger Republic. They speak Hausa in these places. So the farmer/herdsmen problem in North has escalated into inter-ethnic war between Hausa and Fulani. They have done a very good job of keeping it concealed because its a flashpoint and vulnerability that could be exploited to call for uprising and topple Emirates. So this is why FG and Nothern Emirs are soft towards ak47 fulani herdsmen because in a way they have become an army of protection that can put any Hausa revolt down if it should come to that.

So the solution proffered by NW Govs is a package.

1. Amnesty - absorbing bandits into vigilante and community policing. In other words, putting them in employment and on national payroll.

2. Gun control - if any region in South begins a reprisal killing against fulani herdsmen FG will not have the morality or legal standing to declare State of Emergency and send in troops because there is a precedence in NN where a similar declaration is past due. So to preempt such needs the Governors were directed to remove all prevalent conditions that will qualify for troops deployment in NW. Their intervention with gun control is aimed at that. The message is just for consumption, it is not meant to be realized. Ok?

3. Vigilante proscription. Hausa vigilante group is the one in war with fulani bandits. They are not under authority of the govt. Govt wants a vigilante group it can control. So why not just absorb them into the new community policing they plan on starting? grin grin. Its a trick! Macban has its own vigilante. Macban vigilante will be on payroll but the Hausa vigilante will be proscribed and outlawed.

So my brother there is nothing going on in NN that mybhumble self is unaware of. Dont let my kidding around on this forum fool ya! grin grin

Oro die lan'so fun Omoluabi, t'oba de inu a di odindi!

Yoruba Govs should wake up. Thats why I want them to show BIG BALLS to the public. We are not interested in their fvkng security analysis. grin
This move by these NW Governors might be a planned attempt to lure other Governors to emulate. It won't happen in the south.
I agree the SW Governors are somewhat afraid to do the needful concerning the security situations. I was expecting decisive outcome from their Summit, but it was all talks.

Security is not a matter for competition. Its an obligation and they are mandated to make sure security is guaranteed.

Just blowing grammar and analysing security and loop holes is window dressing and society does not need their analysis. What we need is action like the NW Govs are doing. Iba Gani Adams have been warning them for over six months. No resolve till today!
Stop being ridiculous. The NW Governors actually granted amnesty to the criminals and ordered that no vigilante should ever kill or arrest any Fulani.
If that's what you want the SW Governors to do, I can authoritatively tell you that it won't happen.
Carrying arms illegally is against the law and it's pointless banning it.
Any Fulani herdsman caught carrying arms anywhere in the southwest will have himself to blame.

He might have turned to run for cover when discovered they were shooting. According to what I heard from my aproko friends that like going to the live action said the police tried to disperse them with Tear gas.. the they started throwing it back at them then shots were fired from the mob. It was then that the Police had to return fire. And Im sure it was this unfortunate soul the git hit probably when he was running to take cover.
The most reasonable scenario is, he was shot from behind, except you're suggesting the Police were overpowered by the sect which is not the case if you check the casualties on both sides.
And if you're carrying a gun, you don't run to take cover by turning your back.
I'm not saying Shiite members didn't carry arms or not, but the chance that the DCP was hit by their bullet is close to impossible.

Infact they should be proscribed sef
Well, from the picture of the deceased DCP, it's very clear he was shot from behind.

You should praise the fulani vigilante for providing additional security in ondo in the face of the declining security apparatus in the country.I believe they are working together with the Police over there.

I guess you should have heard of civilian jtf in north east that give additional support to the army, because they know the terrain more.

Let's always try to be neutral and eschew the tribal bigotry in our blood.Case closed.
Nobody asked the Fulanis to help with security in Ondo State. If anything, the OPC is sufficient.
The Fulanis can't know Ondo state better than the indigenes, so you can't draw a parallel lines between Civilian JTF whose members are Northerners and Fulani Vigilantes in Ondo state.
The police already made it clear that no Vigilante group is allowed to carry arms, so I wonder why Fulanis are doing same. These are the same people who have been killing and kidnapping people along that axis.
Thank God the Governor already gave an order for them to be flushed out. Anyone seen carrying arms on the highway anywhere in Yorubaland in the guise of being a member of Fulani vigilante group will be killed summarily henceforth.
