Car TalkRe: What Is The Average Mileage Of Car Per Year In Nigeria by DisGuy: 12:29pm On Apr 23, 2019
Very interesting topic here

I've always seen that "almost like tokunbo " or just like new and i start giggling

I once looked up the vin report on a car exported at say Bleep miles and current odometer yyyy the difference in just 6month was staggering yet it's described as few months used in naija

So it's good to have a good range of figures to work with
CareerRe: How To Calculate Your New Salary Based On New National Minimum Wage: Photo by DisGuy: 8:52am On Apr 23, 2019
SMH ....so all these months or years NLC have been canvassing for a new minimum wage agreement, the actual workers or citizens on the streets didn't know the real details of what was being negotiated? The minimum wage negotiations unlike the previous one only affect those on the lower cadre not all workers

Make una dey read better newspapers and follow proper channels not social media noise

Is Iju not in lagos? If the line can be in operation from Iju Lagos to Ibadan. Whilst they continue with the inner more densely populated part of Lagos; that is still something major

It's not until it reaches Ebutte Metta or Apapa. No one is asking what part of ibadan it will end

5. Ability to work-study at the same time

Unlike in many other countries, Australia allows international students to work for up to 40 hours per fortnight while studies are in session and you also get to work unlimited hours during semester break.

20 hours per week and 40 hours per fortnight

Offpoint:
If my house is not swept with a broom it feels like it's not clean, it feels like something is missing. Broom to me is a culture.

If I catch my wife using vacuum and washing machine I'll divorce her.
Gbam

If she use tap water for cooking instead of water from the well or stream abeg divorce her!

Our culture must be preserved!

If they can team up with Carrefour in Kenya, they should be able to get similar partnership with Shoprite for home deliveries.

Goodluck to Jumia. Companies listed on stock exchange usually have better corporate governance and focus

Those you're defending are more heartless than you think. There was a collection of bad liquid in my mother's chest. UCH passed a iron tube through my mother's chest to gradually siphon the liquid out. After about 5 days when the liquid was no longer coming out, consultant asked us to take mom for radiological image to ascertain the liquid has been completely drained. No nurse was ready. They were just joking around. Two days later, still no nurse. I asked that mom be released to me to personally move her on wheeled bed to radiology department. Nobody listened to me. Consultant said it's none of his business until radiology is done. Mom was in severe pain.

I located their management building and angrily dashed into the office blowing grammar. They listened to me and contacted those on duty. By the time I got to the ward, nurses were in panic mode because I reported them. They threw insults and unprintable words at me. About a week when mom was about to be discharged, she died mysteriously. My instinct is yet to vindicate those nurses.
Wow shocked

If you get a phone through contract, phone would be locked to contract providers network.

Don't get a PAYG sim, cheaper to get a sim only deal........
Except you're getting it from Carphone Warehouse

Tell dem, o! What is the point of buying buses or ferries and NOT putting them to good use, to make transportation easier for the masses? I don't get it.

These kind of boats or ferries should be used to ply CMS to Mile 2 route, or Marina to Badagry, every 2 hours. You would see that it would reduce traffic on the roads, and cut travel time in half for commuters. cheesy
Exactly! Considering how congested that badagry route is by road this would have been the perfect opportunity to decongest that roads but no Mr Ambode and his crew will rather park buses and boats for picture purposes.. absolute waste

I hail o @ laudate!!

Plss talking about law, what are the options for a Nigerian trained lawyer who want to migrate to the UK
Absolutely no idea. Guess they will have to do some courses just to get familiare with the UK law and practice and very high probability they end up doing immigration related law
TravelRe: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by DisGuy(mod): 6:56pm On Mar 06, 2019
Outside of Health, Law and some other professions

Actual degree studied is somewhat inconsequential in the UK. Your (current)work experience and transferable skills will be the main criteria

It's a problem for someone to go from school to govern a state. No executive experience no known leadership experience even with all the certificate he's not managed any budget on behalf of any organisation or community according to the stuff put up there.
