Do you actually do this or thinking of doing it? Nigerians find it difficult to repaint their house talkless of beautifying it after initial design and painting every other thing takes a back seat but you also have to understand the economy, remember what people say to fashola- na tree we go chop? ![]() |
nuzo:thought thats why we have senators and reps from the entire region in abuja. we have a VP from the same region too yaradua is certainly under a spell !! |
davidovie:the british government have always been assisting with developmental projects the british government with IOM also did something like this for four years paying failed asylum seekers to go back pproviding they have sustainable business plans, they were give half the money when tey leave and the rest as the business in their home countries develops |
they date them not necessary maryy them cos them plenty for club and they are readily available for the night black girls dont do they clubs they go to or maybe because most of them live in remote white majority areas ![]() you know for sure micheal essien wont marry a white gal right! he'll date them though |
totally unprofessional, how many times have you heard players or even coaches criticizing one particular player? if he is not playing well or spoiling their game why is the coach putting him on? its very obvious everybody/club wants to make money off the beckham name! if they dont want him they can sell him or offload him there are several TOP RELEVANT FOOTBALL teams that will buy him and pay him good money! |
congoshine:you joker! you and i know they wont do anything but sit in Abuja exchanging Ghana must go One would expect southerners to hold their local representative responsible but no, it's easier to blame the northerners!!! rhymz:Are you saying the reps from Niger-delta region, NDDC, Ministry of Niger Delta are incompetent? Why isn't the one in warri working (how are we sure it's not working) don't tell me northerners are in charge! original article |

Nigeria's government says it is happy with a UK plan to help refurbish their prisons to allow Nigerians in Britain's jails to be sent back home.this thing has been in the pipeline for ages, the foreign minister keeps 'something' in return to accepting them back, now here it is plus we should be happy they are not acting like the Libyans who dumped hundreds of illegal immigrants in Senegal or some other west african country irrespective of where they are from originally |
most names have a meaning to the parents but at the same time i think parents should give their kids some neutral names (can still have meaning) especially in a society where pronouncing names can turn to bulling in school and adult wont see the big deal but trust me- this is where bullying and low self confidence in a child starts! even the teachers wont be able to help |
tradee:how much are they? |
I have done thorough an accurate research and I am positive that Urban Planners on average earn more. Architects can earn more and the richest architects probably do, but it has been proven that Architecture is an overrated profession. Fredique:dblock's reply [spambot's gone on overdrive] In American on Average a planner will receive $78,000 annually Architects earn less except for those in the Architecture studies/Engineering, because Architecture as a profession is slowing down and Engineering is booming. Planners in Australia will earn minimum around 45/50 K and Maximum 120,000 a year. |
think it wil depend on the company/sector he is applying to and the position he is applying for |
But the Government hopes that by spending as much as £1million turning a rundown Nigerian prison into something approaching British standards, the convicts could be repatriated.complete with plasma TV, Playstation 3 and cushy toilets ![]() |
i dont think its it about the length of the post or perhaps long posts and posts with links i think seun should do something quick with this spambots |
Kudos to Okocha for putting his name forward but to me this is purely a commercial move by the university, funding from the govt has be frozen and recruiting international student fees seems to be their way out, the amount of local students applying for a place in higher institution has gone up this year no thanks to the recession- one would expect them to be doing all they can to accommodate more locals-just think of the 'new' money coming into the local economy-housing, pubs, bookstores, grocery stores! damn free money! |
27 june 2008 To demonstrate this resolve, the government, last week through the Minister of Commerce and Industries, Engr. Charles C. Ogwu, issued import licenses to six new companies to enable them import the product to create availability, accessibility and to force the price down.daily trust what happended to teh six 'new companies granted licenses last year? |
Tell him Dangote! Yaradua and the minister of commerce are obviously clueless, didn't they give some companies rights to import cement last year or the year before? what did that do? when you have businessmen who are investing huge sums of money manufacturing under extreme conditions- no electricity, bad infrastructure (transportation links), you turn around to give licenses every two year to family members and politicians to manufacture and import, they all end up importing finished goods at artificial prices adding nothing to the economy and leaving those that are taking the risk to lose in the fiercely competitive market |
Ujujoan:we are not depending on them entirely-at least people don't travel between states on okada-yet; they act like supplement to the archaic/inadequate transportation system we have in the cities presently and as long as nothing is done to improve that they will be very useful to thousand of people motorbikes are proper means of transportation when they are controlled by qualified riders who follow rules we can do without okadas but they provide a service that's in HUGE demand unfortunately until something is done about the roads and public transport, they'll be around for a looong time i hate okadas by the way, esp those with tanker horns! |
Ujujoan:I dont think the city is depending on okada per se, they are providing a service that has not been met by the private sector and the govt, roads are built for different modes of transportation and motorbikes have as much right as automobile and tankers. in cities like Lagos Okadas are absolutely necessary ask many bankers, teachers and business men so many people jump off buses in traffic to board okadas if thousands of car owners working up and down lagos decide to invest in a bank as a mode of private transport due to hectic traffic to/from work will they be chased off the road aswell? what happened to the curfews set for okadas in the past? |
whats he difference between an okada rider and a worker going to work on a motorbike according to nigerian laws? ElRazur:1. people that dont have regards for other road users should be ban too, most molue and tank driver are not qualified, they shouldnt single out okada riders 2. keeping the road safe without getting rid of okada is possible, the govt is just lazy to enforce laws available why are they not insisting motorist/riders go for proper test, that will reduce the number of manaics on the road what if workers decide to dump their cars an opt for cycling or motorcylces, will they be treated like okada riders too? in other parts of the world 'okadas' have their own lane! let them use the BRT lanes if the pass their riding test and wear correct protective gear funny thing is, as some governors are banning okadas, some local govt chairmen are dashing it out to teachers, farmers etc who inturn wil hire it out or start business as okada riders |
na so we see am o-spambot in control, we declare amenesty for spamless post |
two months is way too early for you to quit! think about your intergrity- quitter! think about the person that recommended you just think how about some few more weeks you can actually make friends or get chatting to people that will make it more productive for you at work atleast try achieve something before you leave so you dont dent your confidence! wherever you go one manager will shout things at you anyway you dont become a superheor overnight! you should atleast spend six months there, the little you do will help you in the future, you'll gain skills and probably get a good recommendation |
this is how biafrans will treat igbos ![]() A MOST bizarre breach of security and decorum was recorded at the weekend in Ngwo, Enugu State where suspected members of the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) hounded Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, one of whom successfully gave the governor a knock on the head. According to the Special Assistant to the governor on Media And Publicity, Valentine Obienyem, trouble started when MASSOB members allegedly led by their leader, Raphael Uwazurike, sited Obi coming. They reportedly started shouting: "We must kill you and your family; we must send you back to the UK." Obienyem said at the scene, the governor sat at a different area from Mr. Emeka Etiaba and Uwazurike. He said Odumegwu-Ojukwu later invited Obi to join him where he was seated. As the governor moved to oblige Odumegwu-Ojukwu, some MASSOB members accosted him, saying he had refused to identify with them and hence was not a Biafran. Speaking with reporters on the incident, 'Major' Anayo Chukwunonso, who claimed to be a leader of the MASSOB militia, said the organisation was unhappy with Governor Obi for allegedly stopping the monthly payment made to them by previous governments in the state. However, he added that since Obi had refused to work with MASSOB, "others who are sympathetic to our cause are enjoying our services." He queried why Obi would not pay MASSOB militia when his colleagues allegedly still do. http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/news/article03//indexn2_html?pdate=070709&ptitle=Suspected%20MASSOB%20members%20attack%20Obi |
