Sagamite: I am not for or against the guy or anything.
But out of curiousity, if police ever stopped me and found money on me, I wonder what right they have to ask me to explain to them my money. I think the onus is on them to prove it is illegitimate money, or am I wrong?
I am really not aware of any law that states a level of money that police are entitled to request proof of source. Is it 50 pence? £100? £1500? £20,000?
Knowing myself, I will just tell them to explain what law backs their right to question me. they asked a very basic question, surely you wont even answer like the guy did will you? the question might not be necessary just ordinary chit chat and this guy fall hand nigerians and their 'do you know who my fada is' mentality |

how many estates or gardens has been completed in the mowe axis? seems the whole place is like an unorganised building site at the moment what wil it look like in 5years time? people still holding to sell it on or a real 'project' |
Travel › Re: Sungarden Lagos? by DisGuy(mod): 2:22pm On Jun 01, 2009 |
I dont think its an area per se, it more like an estate or developing estate one of those water garden, diamond garden, sky garden basicaly those funny names for estate developments usually by the expressway lagos-ibadan near mega churches and other uncompleted 'gardens', they are usually uncompleted developments that promise heaven on earth but fail to deliver basic road and water, people never buy land to build a house just wait for second buyers to gain profit.
check the property section or ask the seller/agent for more information |

Already, some of Ehindero’s friends in London are said to have been mounting pressure on the police to drop the case. One of them, simply named as Leke, was identified as the son of a major police contractor during the former IGP’s tenure. shooo |

Redman44: With the coming of Sanusi as CBN boss, I hope the Nigerian Banking Industry will become very professional. Our banks need to start competing internationally. Sanusi has to match his words with action. I don't like the '' No Business As Usual '' catchphrase. OBJ used it and did not achieve much. We need ' less talk, more action ' leaders in Nigeria. Cheers. the guy has not even said a single word! |

From what I am hearing about this guy, i hope he gets approved by the senate, and actually deliver.
It obvious those that want Soludo to stay are certain banks, who have gotten unfair advantage. All you have to do so is look at the N200bn loan for farmers that the FG released, only 2 banks shared the money.
Its time Nigerian banks open their books, and meet international standards when it comes to reporting spot on, their customer services is woeful, tehyve turned banking into another thing entire, not a single bank has had the books thrown at it! how could financial institutions strenously avoid international accounting standards?? biina: They should appoint sanusi to CBN and fire the other ministers from Kano. true the guy-shamsudeen has been sulking ever since he got the boot from the top job, he's got a big ego for a northerner! guess he wanted to compete with soludo in the style and popularity department! he's now unproductive just hope sanusi doesnt stick to the ridiculous bow tie |

mikeansy: Is the Nigerian news media begining to abuse the term 'a source who would not like to be mentioned'
we have heard so many different news from this source
By the way . . . . how come the whole journalist accross different media organisations did not know that actually Soludo's tenure did not end last Friday but on 3rd June. You can only wonder how this journalists get their news.
They report anything without verifying so long as you pay. they are gettin worse by the day! incompetent government, incompetent journalists! |

Politics › Re: What Is Stopping Southern Nigeria From Becoming A Separate Nation? by DisGuy: 1:14pm On May 28, 2009 |
naijaking1: 19 northern governors still hold their meetings. Southern governors are not allowed to meet, even governors of the old eastern and western Nigeria are not even allowed to meet separately. Who said equal rights under the law Sorry i would like to know more about this They are not allowed to meet BY WHO or what part of the Constitution? Ive read legislators from the SE and SS holding meetings in the national assemblies We all know they just cant come together to meet they are hardly co-operative amongst each other even those in the same party but I'll still like to know who is stopping them @OP I've heard it on here several time " why cant the north separate from nigeria" when you ask why cant you just leave them alone, their reply is usually sounding as if the north is holding them like a b**ch In other parts of the world the most educated, most successful business individuals take leadership positions In Nigeria/nairaland they are busy comparing the number of jamb candidate and number of PhD holders from their region whilst those labelled cattle herders shove you here and there decide how much you get from your products, decide how many of gets to head certain organisation @mai suya- SPOT ON! its very easy to pass the buck for collective failure! sometimes the whining gets some much you'd think the so called cattle herders are the only ones in the senate or house or reps! |

I am going to give you the names of some of the guilty lecturers in order of worst down. However, for fear of repercussion, I am not including my real name. Some of the said lecturers have links to students of the secret cult and I fear for my life.
If you dont believe me, send someone to investigate, you will be amazed at what you will find obtains in this department in particular and the university in general. Where do they expect young students from poor- average background to get such money? The girls end up prostituting while the boys turn to 419 and even armed robbery to "survive" and graduate with coveted degrees that have not been meritted.
I pray sir that you use your office to save the students of this institution and our education system. Thank you sir.

Itohan123: Yes like when the client wants his money back or something the aunty would say OK I WILL CALL MOHAMMED (a moroccan man is always scarier than a white) and my gf would make walking around sounds from upstairs and shout in a man's voice, which shouldn't be too hard for her since she has a man's voice pretty much because when her mom was pregnant with a boy finally after many tries and only girls a witch took the girl and the mom was like where is my baby where is my baby!!! then the witch replaced the boy with a girl and that's why my gf now has a low voice because she was supposed to be a boy but a witch changed her and she even has a name that means "as far as my hand can reach" because the mother was very sad she couldn't make a boy lol lmao!!! so do you get free congo from the sisters when the man voice is not around? so what country is this italy belgium, where? |

Politics › Re: Foreigners N Delta Fuel Conflict, Says Govt by DisGuy: 1:02pm On May 24, 2009 |
otokx: The governor never said he had money in bank because contractors were chased away by militants. Please stop spreading lies. The governor revoked the contracts of those companies that used militancy as an excuse for not doing their work. The Federal government has also done same. Right now other companies are doing various road construction work in Rivers state and we all are seeing the progress. Kidnapping we now know occurs in other parts of Nigeria so please spare us the misinformation. sango fire you! you think militancy and kindnapping is not enough excuse to stop work? your confused governor said that during one of those money sipping summits they had last year, South-east economic forum or something like that! Why wont you see development now? Amaechi just realised he cant do anything unless he drops money for local contractors to do the job (considering they are the ones backing the kidnappers) out of frustration! |
Politics › Re: Foreigners N Delta Fuel Conflict, Says Govt by DisGuy: 12:48pm On May 24, 2009 |
and what is also not amaechi that called for the death penalty for kidnappers? and if i remember correctly he was also the governor that complained about having billions in the bank doing nothing because the militants are chasing contractors and potential investors away Timipre Silva (Bayelsa), and is this not the same dude that said he holds regularly meetings with the militants on their patch |
