Properties › Re: My Fight With My Landlord by Dshocker(m): 5:13am On Sep 21, 2023
specialofficer:
I have been having some issues in my room, I live with my mum and sister , it's a 3 bedroom flat, we pay 1.4m yearly and we've paid 3 times, last payment was in may.

My landlord increased the pressure point of our water in the compound and now water gas been leaking, pipes got burst in the wall and water has been coming out from walls and pop, I started complaining last month but they didn't do anything about it, it got to a point when the water was too much in my room, I wanted to get my landlords attention so I had to spoil our pumping machine and I brought out all the dirts in our dustbin, I acknowledge my mistakes but it was out of anger.

My landlord confronts me and we got into an argument and we insulted each other, I know i was wrong but if I didn't spoil that pumping machine, the landlord wouldn't have called plumber to repair the issues I was having in my room, I even discovered that i wasn't the only one experiencing such thing, my neighbors too were also having that same issues.

According to my landlord, he said he's not the one collecting money from us, we paid money to agent and if we have any issues we should contact the agent, this particular agent is his elder brother but this my landlord is living in our compound with us, though he has numerous houses.

Now my landlord said he doesn't want to see me again in his compound and has threatened my mum with quit notice, he said it's either I leave the house or my family would leave , he instructed the gateman not to open gate for me again or else he'll sack him. My fellow nairalanders I really need your help, how will I go about this?

Modified; The landlord threatened to call police if he ever sees me in his compound, he said he'll win me in court and it's malicious damage to his property, mind you, there's no evidence that I committed the offence, our gateman was the only eye witness.
So from all indications, you aren't the one who rented the house, because if you were the one they rented it to, the landlord wouldn't have done such.

But there again, i advise you seek counsel from your lawyer, just get a lawyer involved.

Only God knows the quantum amount of resources he the president gives the United States, just to make them not reveal the truth about him.

Foreign Affairs › Re: Inside Soweto's First Government Gay Clinic - LESSONS by Dshocker(m): 3:15am On Sep 20, 2023
TMKsouth:
Soweto finally has a health facility that caters for the LGBTQIA+ community.

The centre was launched by the Gauteng Province minister (MEC) for Health and Wellness, Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko on Friday, 8 September at Itireleng Clinic in Soweto, Johannesburg.

The health facility will provide the minimum package of health services that are tailored to meet the health needs of population groups considered to be key populations for HIV and STIs.

The facility will focus on providing comprehensive and compassionate care to homosexual men, and men that sleep with other men.

Nkomo-Ralehoko said the purpose of this facility is to provide exclusive health services to the key population who constantly face rejection and mistreatment when accessing health facilities.

She added that this has transformed the lives of key populations by providing them with necessary support, care and empowerment to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

"One of the notable strengths of this centre lies in the commitment to confidentiality, and non-discrimination. No one will tell other people why you were there in the room consulting. Staff have been sworn into confidentiality," she said.

"We have trained our staff and security guards to take care of these people," she said.

Dr Thulani Mhlongo, one of the key players in ensuring that such facilities are established told the Daily Sun that he is excited that barriers and stigmas will now be broken.

"It is important that we educate our communities and the government about our needs as gay and lesbian people. Gay and lesbian people used to be insulted and called names when they go to the clinics. I'm glad that now they listened to us, and centres are being established to accommodate the members of LGBTQIA+,” said Mhlongo.

Nurse clinician supervisor, Irene Mudau said the patients will be seen at the men’s clinic for consultation with nurse clinicians who have been trained on key populations.

The facility will provide services such as the HIV prevention package including behavioural intervention and pre-exposure prophylaxis. It will also offer HIV testing, counselling, and treatment, condom and lubricant provision, and all related education, just to mention a few.

South Africa was the first country in Africa and the 5th in the world to legalise gay marriage.

I don't support japa in any form, if you like give me Canadian green card, i prefer Nigeria.

The money you spent processing your documents could have been used to establish you here properly, rather than going to another man's land as a slave to start all over again, with a limited lifestyle on freedom.

There is no place in the SE where they don't farm cassava, yams, ogbono, palm trees and many others. It is a multi million dollar industry which also exports and majoring only in palm oil can earn the state forex. So they also farm and if a Yoruba is married there he or she will join them only that they will not leave SW to go there for the purpose of farming. However other things can definitely take them there like missionary work, civil service, produce buying, construction contracts and etc The thing to say in conclusion is that taxation should never be targeted at any group. It should be uniform. Is there any benefit in having a non indigene tax?. What is also wrong is head tax. Support entrepreneurs and tax all income earners including CEOs. Entrepreneurs are very important because they manage clusters of workers who are revenue source for government. Up to ten percent of people are capable managers but not all of those capable managers are capable of building a business from scratch
Guy, all these things you are writing here, i don't understand.

Anambra generally is not a food producing state, the farmers there are small scale farmers, apart from coscharis who does large commercial farming in Anambra.

Hello everyone. I need your views. A lady has been married for 9 years. Her mother-inlaw was having issues in which the woman was willing for the mother-inlaw to come stay with them. It has been 6years now the mother-inlaw does not want to move out of her son home. The mother-inlaw son instead of of asking her to leave is concerned about what people will say if he asks his mother to leave. He even asked his wife to mix her food and that of his mother and serve to him. On a particular day this mother-inlaw took their child(I don't know how many they have) without informing them and travelled. The daughter-inlaw of this mother-inlaw has tryed. What do think this woman should do as her husband is not taking step to move his mother.
She should suggest that the husband should rent another house for her.

By the way; The mother in-law has no right to travel with one of the children, without their consent.

Except it is not the same Oba but I believe it is the same Oba. They may not be thousands but will be in proportion to the population. The person in question was a produce buyer because of course there would be no Yoruba farmers in an Igbo village unless they are married and settled there.
Anambra state are not known for farming, because we have small land mass, most farmers there are not large scale farmers.

So i don't know what and how a Yoruba person became a commercial farmer in Oba.

Ok I guess my own Oba may not be Anambra as it is far back now in 2006 but I was in one Oba along with someone to do something and the person was there to buy produce and he was not the only Yoruba there abs infact anywhere you don't see Yoruba in the East will be a village of one primary and one secondary school or no secondary school and even there they will have people who understand the language. In the Igbo Igala village I served the Principal who is an Ijaw man spoke fluent Yoruba and his wife was Yoruba with all his children able to speak Yoruba
Oga you've not been to Oba before, for claiming that thousands of Yorubas resides in oba.

I am from Anambra, and i can tell you for sure, things you are not certain of.

The only place you will see Yorubas are in the city doing business, places like Nnewi, Onitsha and Awka.

What would a Yoruba person be doing in Oba?

I know most corporate Bodies like to fence off their buildings for security reason, But with a CCTV camera placed at every corners of the street, security issues will be curbed to some extent

And besides, if down floors are rented out, There will be so much activities in the streets at night which will some how curb security issues to some extent too, it's easy to steal in a lonely street at night than a lively street with people everywhere!!
Nigeria is still a developing nation, and so many things has to be put in place, before letting your guard down.

Millions of people are hungry, and are ready to steal when the opportunity presents itself.
