Christianity Etc › Re: Attitudes You Should Have During The Tribulation by efficiencie(m): 10:20pm On Jan 13, 2022
I have a strong feeling that the mark will introduce or be associated with what will introduce a mutation in humans that will make them extremely evil. Solomon said what has happened before will happen again (Ecclesiastes 1:9). What will happen at the time of the tribulation is what happened in the times of the patriarchs.

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Genesis 6:5

Many will in the name of science accept treatments that will make them morph into humanoids with unimaginable levels of evil. Those who refuse will be killed or be in hiding.

Evil will become culture and it is as this point the rapture will happen and the seven vials will follow and all those who despised God and denied His existence will drink of the cup prepared for the mystery queen of Babylon.

Fred166:
I married my beautiful wife January this year, I Love my wife so much, I have never cheated on her since we got married. I opened a business for her worth 900k. i've already promised her a car this coming year (well I ride camry muscle and I'm tired of sharing the car with her).

My wife is too lazy, all she cares about is her eye lashes, make-up, nails and watching Zeeworld all day, She goes to her shop 10am and return 3pm, She barely take care of the house. Sometimes the plate I used for breakfast before going to work would still be on the dining table unwashed when I return. Her make-up tools and bag littered everywhere in our sitting room.

We're expecting our 1st child, Now that She's pregnant (4 months) she's worst. Na so so chop chop, I will jokingly say babe Pls don't go out of shape I won't look ur side again, Is like the more I beg, the more she chop chop. ...weird food carvings. Coconut water and bread, shawarma and pepper soup with sugar cane in her hand, I dare not buy it for her otherwise I won't sleep.

I still cook when I'm back from work. Anytime I tried to talk to her, she would say can't I see she's pregnant, she's having waist pain, leg pain, Infact body pains. I wanted to employ a maid she refused, she spoke ill about maids, she said they are husband snatchers e.t.c.

3 days ago, She asked me to renew our dstv sub and I refused. Yesterday I noticed she has done it (first time). I saw her watching Zeeworld, laughing sheepishly and pointing to the TV, I needed to watch man united match so I changed the channel, she dragged the remote control from me and changed it back to Zeeworld, she said I'm too stingy, I didn't sub for her, I refused to buy her a car.

I don't know what to do. With her lazy attitude I'm scared during delivery she would be saying I can't push o.

Experienced men help a brother.
You married a daughter and not a wife. Her parents did little to raise her well. So you have to be more of a father than a lover. You need to discipline her yet love her. Meet her needs but set her limits. Spur her to outdo herself. Motivate her to study to improve herself and not while her life away on Zeeworld. Be her mentor, her coach and disciplinarian. Yes don't buy her that car until she behaves. Apply the same behavior in other ways until she starts acting more like a wife than a spoilt brat!

And she is just my side girlfriend, not my real babe..

You are mad sir. She is your side girl so she is expendable, abi? If you push that girl into an abortion and she loses her womb you will never have children in life and if she dies just prepare yourself to suffer until you die.

Optimistic4life:
Year 2021 February to be precise, my husband served me a divorce notice. Though I saw it coming as we have been separated for some months.
The case is still in court though.

We are blessed with 3 kids under 10.

Soon the divorce will be finalized and we will both move on.

How easy is it adjusting to a new life as a divorced lady?

I just want to let it out as I have never discussed this with anyone. Just my immediate family members knows about it.

What is life like out there for me?

The shame, mockery, coping with kids alone, moving on etc
May God help you ohh. Sometimes I wonder how and why couples who were ecstatic a couple of years or weeks ago about marriage, go through the hurdles of multiple weddings and enjoy night after night of marital consummation but yet turn out to be the worst of enemies of each other later. It's amazing and mind boggling.

Nowadays when I see couples happy during their wedding day I just feel indifferent because I can guess that 2 years down the line they will start regretting that they ever met.

Pastors and clergymen that join couples in holy matrimony need to thoroughly question intending couples about their motives, hidden fantasies and desires, ambitions, beliefs, philosophies, secrets and other factors hidden at the time of wedding that could destroy the marriage. I believe divorces are rooted in or caused by matters of the past and that most couples get so carried away by the chemistry and prospects of a married life that they forget to settle the core matters that could lead to a divorce.

OP! You may need counsel from others that have experienced divorce!

Babsojimjim:
Dear All,

Although my wife has packed her belongings and left only a few old cloths of hers and my daughter which I stated in my previous post, I didn't force or compel her to stay back.

Prior to her leaving two counsellors/priest counselled us to both leave in peace and harmony yet she refused and left.

On the 1st of January, 2022 her parents invited me to there house for a dialogue on the way forward towards reunion, but she was still bent on going her way with flimsy excuses.

I took my leave and was told by her parents that they will get back at me.

Few days later I was asked to come back for a meeting with another senior man of God from her community and family church, this was the arrangement of her parents maybe to find a solution spiritually. At this juncture, do I honour the invitation or dishonour it?

Your good advise can be of help. Thanks
How come you are the one honouring invitations and your wife is not? Let her parents invite her, take her to see the clergy man and dialogue with her. Don't honor any invitation without your wife being present. If she is not present don't bother. Its likely your woman is receiving things out there...so be very careful.
Family › Re: What My Fiancée Told Me. by efficiencie(m): 12:26am On Jan 07, 2022
hearttoheart001:
I and my lady has a very beautiful relationship that will lead to marriage not too distance time. I like having an open conversation with my lady. She is free to clear the air with me in all things. I see her as a friend, companion, team player, queen, and lover.

In one of our conversations, my girl told me I tick all her boxes like 80% but I should work on my financial life. I also believe in a traditional way of marriage where a man provides and protects his home. Granted I have made some not too good choices and I throw money away. This affects my pocket which my girl step in at some point. Due to covid 19, all senior non-essential staff was let off. I am without a job at the moment, while looking for a job or travelling to an outside country, I decided to position myself to earn big by learning a skill apart from a school degree. I am neck-deep into the skill and I know something good will come out of it.
My girl does have this feeling that I won't be able to provide for her, even though I am a good person according to her. I keep pushing it to assure her that she will be happy with me. Both of us have made a lot of sacrifices, I don't intend to leave the relationship.

What leads me to create this thread. I was having a conversation with her, she told me I am not "Assertive enough". I was a bit shocked. I intend to build a home where my wife is an equal partner but I am the head, my wife co-decision maker, my wife as a friend not subordinate, I am to be loved by my woman not feared. I understand Assertive to be:1 Confident 2. Forceful 3. self. confident 4. Positive 5. bold 6. Decisive
7. Assured 8. commanding 9. Authoritative 10. Dominant 11. Pushy 12. Pushful. 13. Domineering. 14. Determined.

To the best of my knowledge, I know I am decisive (though I seek her opinion on any issue to carry her along), I have built enough self-confidence but I respect people's boundaries and choices. I may be a very private person but I am bold, daring, and positive.
I never want to be pushy, authoritative, domineering, and forceful in my relationship or marriage. I want her to love me not to fear me. So I am surprised by her word. I will like to know what she means and how to make a necessary change. I notice some lapses in our relationship but I choose to allow it to slide because I want us to enjoy the serenity surrounding our relationship.

I have asked her if she wants me to be a NIGERIA KIND OF MAN not An Ideal kind of man in the relationship, she gladly says yes. So if I am an Authoritative man, pushy kind of man, domineering man, controlling and commanding man, will it help my relationship? Is there something she is telling me or I need to know? Please I need all the advice from people who are in a relationship or marriage. I am completely disturbed. I need that bashing and advice. Thanks

Everyone who has worked with me does say I am bossy, I am principled, I am a perfectionist. I never wanted my lady to feel that way. I accept most of her flaws, I only wanted to make a friend out of her.

I intend to show her this thread so we can both learn from it.
Dude drop this equality BS. There are times it will be infeasible, unwise or even dangerous to seek your wife's view on every matter before acting. You are the man. You must know how to stand your ground and be assertive even when your wife disagrees before you plunge your generation into suffering just because you want to simp around like Adam.

Now to the zombies that worship the Dr. Fauci. Is this still a pandemic of the unvaccinated?

You can't be leading millions of people and still be naive. As a Governor of a State with power and authority, you can't come to such scenario and be using "Please", "Can you".
You talk with authority.

Only Wike's voice alone will send the abokki CSP into hiding.
Na so. If he were authoritarian you will be the first to complain. The governor understands that there are vested interests at play and has in this matter, in my opinion, behaved in the manner required of a leader and not a tyrant.
Health › 4th Shot On The Way by efficiencie(op): 12:25am On Jan 04, 2022
Israeli health authorities are considering a 4th shot. They claim immunity from the first 3 shots is waning and in the light of the Omicron variant it may be necessary for people who have been shot 3 times to be shot for the 4th time.

So to all of you who have been shot twice, realize that Omicron is here in Nigeria and you still need to be shot 2 more times. If you have received just 2 shots I guess you are in no better situation than an unvaccinated person so do the needful and if possible travel to Israel to ensure you get shot thoroughly.

Family › Re: Dear African Men, No One Woman Can Meet All Your Needs! by efficiencie(m): 1:06am On Jan 03, 2022
AboveTheRadar:
I have given much thought to this. I have come to realise that in this our present dispensation, no one person can meet all our needs.
Take relationship for example. People stick to people for different reasons.

1 A man may get a wife who is homely and quiet. She meets his societal and family needs (cooking, childbearing and marital status).
But she might not be funky when it comes to sex. There are some sexual activities he or his wife may not be comfortable doing together.
He may have another lady who he can explore sex with in all manner of ways and he would enjoy it. That lady meets his sexual needs to a higher level. Now, he may have another lady that he can talk about some of his interests. She offers him companionship that his wife and FWB may not offer. She meets his emotional needs.

The African Man is naturally polygamous. You see, when we copy the Westerners and let go of our culture, we sometimes experience big problems. In fact man is naturally polygamous.
Look at our fathers in time past. They married more than one wife and these wives apart from sex met some sort of need of our fathers.

The white man who preaches monogamy has one of the highest divorce rate. They will divorce and remarry. Now isn't that hypocrisy?. Instead of doing this, why don't they just come out clean and be polygamous? Divorce and remarrying is the dark form of polygamy.
Adultery came from them because to a black man, why cheat with a different woman when you can just marry her?
Baby mama and Baby daddy are perverted forms of polygamy. It still points to the topic above.

2 Finally, I believe that just as we have different shoes for different occasions, a man needs three categories of women and they are: 1. Women who meet their Family and Societal needs. 2. Women who meet their sexual needs. 3. Women who meet their emotional needs. Seeing as women are more than men in this world, with monogamy, some women will never marry, some will marry but either to widowers (so some women need to die for their fellow women to marry), divorcees (some women need to be divorced before their fellow women can marry), some to married men as second or third wives and only a few percentage will get married to never married men.
The rest will end up as baby mamas. So men, don't let the society guilt trip you when you find these categories of women. The society has been westernised but that does not negate the truth that not one woman can meet all your needs.
I love our Muslim brothers. They understand this truth. Christians will never admit this truth.

So, get your side chicks but never bring them close to home. Let it remain outside else it would prevent the woman who meets your societal and family needs from doing so.

3 No one should have to suffer in their marriages. If as a woman, your man meets your family and societal needs but not emotional and sexual needs, please don't feel guilty if you get someone who can while maintaining your marriage. People go into relationships with different expectations. Know your expectations for that is what will determine your level of satisfaction and boundaries.

RoyalRoy, Lalasticlala
Point 1 is MAD because if a man were to marry due to the unique needs met by a woman he will marry an unlimited amount of women. Point 2 is MADDER because you think you can reduce a man's selfish conjugal needs to just three points. Point 3 is the MADDEST because you think a person can escape suffering by having multiple sex partners forgetting that multiple sex partners with benefits could easily result in multiple sex partners with deadly flaws. Imagine the lady having multiple wife beaters as friends with benefits. She would suffer thorough beatings from multiple men.

Dude you have to manage the situation. Soon enough you may have a quarrel rooted in a private matter and she will share the full details of your private life with her parents. Her parents are encouraging her and its utterly wrong. I would advise that you;
(1) keep your private and highly important affairs to yourself or else it will be on nairaland front page real soon
(2) avoid quarrels with your wife particularly on private affairs
(3) visit your pastor or elder, particularly one respected by your wife, and get counselling on this matter. Your wife may not respect you enough to reverse her behavior but she may respect a pastor or elder.
(4) if after point 3 she continues with her behavior then congratulations you are in for a ton of shit. A ton shit you brought on yourself the day you wedded her. At this juncture you have to live with her attitude and hope for the best.

It happened between this lovely young couple living in my street. Honestly, I always admiring them whenever I see them together, cant just believe they are fighting.

According to the eyes witness, the husband has been warning his wife against one particular married man living in the same compound who was always in the habit of knocking their door for unnecessary or petty thing( petty thing like woman to woman stuff that he could send his wife), but the woman wont listen. The husband claimed he has caught the said co- tenant starring at his wife bumbum or looking at her seductively several time, and he is not comfortable letting such a person get close to his wife for whatever reason.

According to him, despite warning his wife to ignore or keep straight face whenever he comes knocking, she was still welcoming him with smile. This morning again, the man came knocking for one useless excuse, but this time, the manner in which he did it surprised the husband who was at the living room. He said, he did not call his wife by her Child name as usual but knock silently and pressing door handle to force entry.

The fight broke out when the husband demanded his wife tell him the relationship between her and the married co-tenant or see his other side.

The husband is a very busy type, in which the married co-tenant know of, and his wife works from home.

What will you do if you find yourself in such situation.
She will have to move her belongings into the neighbor's apartment once and for all so that he won't have to keep knocking on my door for mumu reasons.

anyhow you want to look at it. There is no where in history that such a flood happened. People have always existed in different places around the world all through the period the flood should have occurred. If you knew basic mathematics and you actually read your bible you would have known that you can calculate the approximate time the flood should have happened. If you like add 1000 years to the result, if you like subtract 1000 years to the result, adjust the result any how you like it so that it can favour the bible, it still wont solve the problem of all these kingdoms that were flourishing at a time the whole world should have been wiped out. Go and get some education and stop disgracing your self here
Dude, basic maths is not enough to estimate dates of events based on the historical accounts from a book of prophecy written by someone who was not clinical in the chronological ordering or dating of events. If Moses had mentioned dates then basic maths would be enough to prove or disprove the occurrence of such events as the flood or the validity of the prophecy. You claimed there is no where in history such a flood happened but you are aware that there is debate about this and that there are scholars on either side providing evidence supporting their positions. So it is pretty rash to claim with such certainty that "there is no where in history that such a flood happened"! Historical dating is usually done using carbon dating and unfortunately carbon dating could be fraught with errors. The dates of empires you referenced could be wrong and the problem with these dates is that we may never be able to correctly estimate the deviation of the estimated dates from the actual dates.

the bible gave enough chronology and we know for sure the time jesus was supposed to be on earth. It is elementary math to know the period the flood happened since the bible gave very clear chronology even if we adjust the time by 500 years plus or minus, still there were people all around the world with enough proof, how come the flood did not kill them?
Dude don't deceive yourself. The bible did not offer dates and the dates in the website you quoted are estimates. In the website you quoted they said this:

We qualify these dates with words like “about” because of small unknowns. For example, we don’t know whether or not the Genesis 11 begetting years include time in the womb. But uncertainties keep shrinking. Confidence grows in the Bible’s time stamps. Serious scholars are now closer than ever to using just the Bible to pinpoint ages of ancient events like the Flood.

That uncertainties are shrinking does not say anything because we don't have an idea of the extent of this shrinkage and how close we are to the actual dates from a black box. The write also said this:

Add the 1,656 years from Genesis 5 to that and we get nearly 4128 B.C. for Earth’s birthday, based on the Masoretic text of the Old Testament.

Which provides an unlikely "Earth's birthday" because according to the scriptures: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." (Genesis 1:1) makes it difficult to accurate estimate the Earth's birthday based on the prophecy of Moses because we do not have any dateable events before the creation of the Earth, we cannot correctly estimate how much time in years elapsed between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 3:24 and we cannot tell if the events between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 6 are strictly chronological. Moses could have written his visions without strict recourse to the chronological ordering of events just like John who wrote the visions of the book of Revelation. Hence the 4128 BC number for the birth day of the earth is completely unreliable and I don't have to be a theologian to know so. So dude unless you want to read into the Bible what is not there you should understand that the author's estimate of the flood year is contestable and would always be an estimate with a little understanding of the deviation of this date from the exact date.

Do you know we can accurately calculate when the great flood in the bible supposedly happened?

The lifespans in Genesis 11 span from Abram back to the Flood. When we add the years listed in Genesis 11 to Abram’s birth year 2166 B.C., we get about 2472 B.C. for the Flood year. Add the 1,656 years from Genesis 5 to that and we get nearly 4128 B.C.

So the flood happened around 2472 B.C.

So what is the problem?

The problem is, this was the same period Egypt started to flourish and develop rapidly.

This was the same time the great pyramids of Egypt where built.
The Fourth Dynasty of ancient Egypt (notated Dynasty IV) is characterized as a "golden age" of the Old Kingdom of Egypt. Dynasty IV lasted from c. 2613 to 2494 BC.[1] It was a time of peace and prosperity as well as one during which trade with other countries is documented.

In fact king Khufu who built the largest pyramids became pharaoh of egypt just 200 years after the great flood that was supposed to wipe out every human on earth and only Noah and 7 members of his family are supposed to be the only ones left.

So how come King Khufu had a Nation of people who could build the largest pyramids in just 200 years from just 8 people that survived the flood?

Dont forget that King Khufu also had a predecessor? How come?

We have proof and a list of all the Pharoahs of Egypt even all through the period that this flood should have happened.

From the 4th dynasty to the 6th dynasty

From 2600bc to 2100bc

So when did this flood happen? And how come there are records of nations always existing all through this period that the whole world should have been wiped out?

This is proof the bible is nothing but blatant lies if only we would ask questions.
Dude did the bible writers offer these dates? Dude the bible may be lies to you so can burn your bible. Some of us believe the bible and we have received evidence from due to our belief. The fact that you hate the bible does compel me in anyway to hate it.
