emerald16:Let me assume that, that attitude/response towards your request is as a result of stress.........................if it is her normal behaviour, then that is a bad sign. It can mean one or any of many things, one of which is that you may not be encouraging her enough or bad counsels from friends she associates with or she is having doubts about your focus in life - as regards whether you are giving your home the attention it deserves. I mean think about it, if the tables were turned, and she asks you for the same thing, except your father-in-law is a wizard whey dey give am wahala, does that kind of response make sense? Think about it for a minute.................. |

GrowYourSales:When I read your comment, I didnt know whether to laugh or to cry but the problem I have is time, because I have a presentation to make tomorrow on an IS project. So I will limit my response to what I can type in 10 minutes and go deeper in practical explanation later. But what you have simply done is to take an issue and emphasize just one angle and maintain radio silence on the other............ Lets just take a look at the scriptures you even quoted..............making bold what you chose not to talk or lay emphasis about 2 Corinthians 11:9 New International Version (NIV) 9 And when I was with you and needed something, I was not a burden to anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied what I needed. I have kept myself from being a burden to you in any way, and will continue to do so. In other words, I didnt collect money for any of my personal needs from you (not the needs for the poor remember) because the Church in Macedonia gave me the money I needed already............... Funny enough if you even read 2 Corinthians Chapter 8 which you sparsely quoted from verse 1, Paul was begging the Corinthian Church via letters to give to Titus in the same way the Macedonian church did...............verse 18 - 23 was simply giving the Corinthians assurances that their givings was safe with Titus Now isnt it possible that I can as a Macedonian, adopt your opinion and call Paul a brain washing thief, for collecting money from these people, Mind you for much of the time, he wrote letters to the Corinthians and other churches because he was detained elsewhere...... I mean he is in prison/captivity but he is still sending people to come and collect chop money abi? What do you think...................abi isnt he supposed to take of the poor again? Why else do you think Paul kept reminding people what he did for a living if not for the fact that it is possible that people with different variants your current point of view existed? Let me pause here first, ayam coming |
GrowYourSales:Oya Mumu Detector Machine, MDM, answer this question, since you know every part of bible. Did the Apostles/disciples collect money from Christians/converts in their time yes or no.....................? |
GrowYourSales:Why dont you read your bible first before you break your leg jumping to conclusions............... |
davodyguy:When Pastor Oladiyun receives a port folio of the Lord in his call, that will take his ministry to nations where the possiblity of getting flights during what is known as high season - in Airline ticketing parlance - is 2%, he will buy not only a private jet, but a standby helicopter...... Poverty mentality (and when I say poverty, I dont make direct reference to cash, I make reference to paucity of ideas) has made people to look at private jets as too luxurious for anyone, let alone a pastor. But when your minstry has membership strength the size that equals the population of Southafrica and ghana combined, spread over 5 continents and you are placed on a calender by your Director missions/programs that sees you moving around very often, how do you cope without a jet? Think about it for a minute, have you even noticed that even Nigerian music artists now have private jets, the ones that don't have insist or charge you extra to make allowance to charter one, when they have to perform abroad especially during high season. At least I have read of several cases where artist like davido, tiwas savage, olamide, phyno in the past missed shows abroad, why? No flights, or flight was delayed. My own Pastor, when he was much younger in ministry, used to be a fierce critic of Pastors who will use money to acquire or even charter private jets. Thats money that will better the lives of the poor. .... Years later, his view changed, why? Number one, "The poor ye will always have amongst you but not me"....Those are the words Jesus gave the apostles, instigated by Judas, to question why Jesus allowed someone - a woman for that matter, is that not an ashawo something? - to use very costly alabaster ointment to anoint him with it (his hair, face, feet), even to the point of kissing his feet and using her hair to rub the oil; instead of selling it and giving the proceeds of the sale to the poor. Record has it that Jesus had cast out demons from her and brought back a sibling of her's from the dead.... Record also has it that Judas, who instigated the apostle to challenge Jesus didn't give a damn about poor - as do most of the fiercest critics of seemingly wealthy pastors, you don't believe? Then ask those who are swift to criticize the highest denomination of currency they have ever given a beggar and when was the last time they gave a beggar #1,000, you will see reaction that day - but used the apostles to challenge Jesus because he was a thief and the money meant to be ministered to the poor was under his care and he used to pilfer the money consistently. Before Jesus came, they were poor people and after he left they are still poor people. Some are victims of circumstance, due to no fault of theirs, they were born into abject poor. Other are victims of conscious or unconscious choice. As a young pastor, My pastor has seen cases of people, both young and old, in bad situations he warned them against but they don't listen neither do they choose to learn. You take your time to guide and teach and lead people, members who are close to you to adopt godly habits (dilligence, hardwork, discipline, a prayerlife in business etc.) that will encourage wealth but they refuse to practice it and then years later they are on the business end of poverty. Who is to blame? Second, he once heard the testimony of a friend and Pastor who once was invited to preach at a program overseas by another ministry. After he finished preaching, go home was wahala oooo.... What happened? No flights, british airways flight to and from that island was delayed and he had no other means of leaving that place and he was running out of cash to even pay for his bills, for he was stranded there for over a month...... He was fortunate to run into a high ranking government official, who happened to be a guest at the program, who was surprised to see he hadn't returned back to Nigeria, until he confessed there there that he was stranded oooo, no flight. That was how he was saved. That man offered his jet to bring him back to Nigeria and even expressed shock that the pastor, running an international outreach ministry, didnt have one....... Also my church has had several program, where guest ministers from overseas were invited, from europe, USA, Australia, 3 months ahead, eventually they don't showup, after printing fliers, banners, doing video ads, why? The Minister has his schedule of programs and then within the timeframe he allocates to attend your program, he no see flight, what to do? Tender letter of apology and face your own ministries business. So if you mention acquiring private Jet around my pastor, who is very strict and disciplined when it comes to keeping to time and allocated schedule, it doesnt draw criticism from him anymore, because he knows what it has cost him, with respect to time wasted and committments for events where he promises to show up, (after they have printed banners and fliers) and then break his own promise because there is no flight to catch up..... |
paulnewplay:You can, after you download components like SDK, gradle. Library updates that will come everytime a new andriod release hits the shelves are done once a while.....if you don't mind designing apps based on releases before the latest release then you have nothing to worry about...... I recommend you take the Andela A.L.C 4.0 program -I think registration is still in progress - and learn andriod development with the possibility of getting a certification from google after the program, but its data intensive....you will have to stream over 12hrs of video minus updates for android studio, which you still havent done... |
bravesoul247:Nairaland has been improving on a massive scale. The grey areas where it seems as though there is no improvements are soft issues/targets. From 2015 till date, the number of banned Nairaland accounts have improved by 1000%........ |
BekeeBuAgbara:They are calling boris so that they can deal with him. Them no born Boris well, nobody wants to bell the cat. And the bell in this case, is a hard brexit. Nobody wants to have it on his/her resume that they led Britain into a recession... Hardcore Brexit Fans want a Hard brexit, and that will be disastrous. Trading in the EU without access the to EU Single window market and riding naked on WTO statues will ruin the pound, kill their economy and send them into a recession which will also vex hardcore brexit fans..... Immediately Ireland and wales will start fresh push to leave a drowning UK, so they are not dragged into a recession. Its a no brainer.... It a trap MP's have left down for anyone who sing Brexit when they become PM... They will push you to a hard brexit and give you the credit for a recession. In the end you will still be forced to resign and handover to next person whose new Job is to take Britain back to the EU. That just it..... |
Deathisfreee:No be polo roundabout be that.... |
paulnewplay:False.....I was talking about Android studio, gradle -for visual programing/testing - and consistent update necessary when a new version of andriod OS is released... Happy Trails...... |
lomprico:God is the better person to address this your questìon to...... But I am of the opinion that it is not how much value God places on it but on the value we place on it. When He demanded Isaac of Abraham, He even said it, "take thy Son, thy only Son whom though loveth". An indicator to the possibility that, Isaac as far as Abraham was concerned was his most valuable possession in the midst of all his wealth. Funny enough, he just got the child from God after waiting for more than a decade, if not more, only for God to ask him to offer the child as a sacrifice. Doesn't that look like wickedness? The bible says that Abraham journeyed 3 whole days to the point where the sacrifice was to be made, he didn't turn back nor hestitate. When you consider that Abraham had that child in his very old age (somewhere over 90yrs of age), that child was valuable to him...... Oyedepo at a time in his life had just an OND, and literally came up from squalor to glamour. For someone who at one time in his life, was eating cereal with his wife meant for the baby for 3 days because there was no food, if that person ever mistakenly buy/own a car his life, them no need to tell you how valuable that car will be to him, have you met a very hungry/poor accountant before? Kenneth Hagin of blessed memory once spoke of a time when God asked him to give a random preacher that came to squat with him money, that money was money he had been saving for over a year to finally have an actual christmas holiday for the first time in almost like never for himself and his family. That preacher was enroute to a city where he was going to do manual labour to raise money for a bible school he wanted to attend. After he escorted him to where the preacher was to take the next transportation to leave town, Hagin unhappily gave the preacher the money.... Many years later, according to Kenneth Hagin's testimony (me I was not there oooo), Hagin claimed that God reminded him of that money, how? He followed his wife to do hospital visitation of a lady that had stage 4 cancer in another city, Doctors had allegedly given her a few months to live. Kenneth Hagin said the Lord asked him to pray for her, way deep down in his heart he was confused, because he didn't know what to pray for, Farewell abi safe journey prayer? Because the Lady in question had so emaciated to a point where prayer at this point felt like just another religious exercise. But at a point his wife for some reason left the room briefly and he summoned up courage to pray and in his own words, he perceived an atmosphere lift from that room like a spirit, in his own words, he grabbed the bed and prayed and left.... About a few weeks later, word got to him that she was healed, he just felt it was just another person trying to blindly and foolishly believe, hoping something will happen. He that prayed for her didn't believe until he saw her with his own two eyes, she had put on weight and travelled from her city to attend service in his own parish. He was overjoyed, thankful, wooow, it felt good for God to use him to bless a lady at the point of death. In trying to make sense of it all, he said God asked him, if he remembered the preacher who came to squat in his house that he gave his holiday saving money, he eventually remembered. At that point, he claimed God asked him, which is easier of the two for you to do, to give that preacher that money or to pray for this woman? In his own understanding of what the Lord was trying to teach him, "a man who is faithful in little will be faithful in much". That scripture is often used to teach people about management of resources but in this case, Hagin used it to teach about instruction..... If you have faith to obey God to do things are actually in your power to do, it will be easier for you to have faith to obey God to do things that you actually have no power of your own to do. If He cant send you message, where the variables are 100% under your control and have you listen what makes you think if He sends you message to do big things that may sound ridiculous, silly and unconventional and variables are 100% out of your control that you will even attempt to do it? |
lomprico:Did God not swear by himself, as there was nothing greater than him that he will make Abraham great, because Abraham almost offered his only Son whom he loved as a sacrifice just because God said he should do it (even though God never wanted/needed it, He wanted to see what abraham will do, he eventually gave Abraham a lamb to sacrifice in place of his Son). Attend Sunday school in church, you might learn a thing or two..... |
MJBOLT:When you don't read the bible, things like what you just typed will seem to make sense..... A simple google search of how many times God swore in the bible would have spared us this misguided comment..... But then again, variety of comments is the spice of Nairaland.... Continuu |
udemzyudex:Better be happy like this oooo, because it usually much painful and tiresome to witness it offline... That how one mumu said that if the Nigerian government remove its interest in the USA, that the American economy will fold up...... And the most painful part of it all is that the guy was not even high...... Kaaaaai....... |
9jaRealist:We ran the british model and found it too weak and vulnerable. Low level of security, almost every Major figure in that system whines up dead if a few handful of people are disgruntled... Not so in this model |
plaindealer:You make dumb people look smart, how many people on average, inclusive of squatters do you think live in a government hostels in school? I went to UNIBEN, then they were just 6 hostels minus 2 medical hostel buildings unlike now when they are more than 10 hostels minus 2 medical hostels I never lived in one but I remember the way the light used to look like low current when school is in session and how it used to look like bulbs want to blow up, when students leave the hostels, why? The answer is seen from afar, or shall I say smelt. If you are going to Hall 4 from SRC building you can smell beans, the cheapest thing to cook - just add salt and #20 palm oil - on top of Hot plate and you are good to go, them no need to paste am..... Imagine an average of anywhere between 2,000 to 6000 people (in over 12 hostels now that they have new hostels) - that doesnt include those who might do same in places like Senior or Junior staff quarters or block of flats - all plugged in via hot plate to the battery cells that make up that power plant........ What is the life expectancy of those battery cells. And what in your experience about solar power plants, mounted in a place like bayelsa - Not Sokoto, not the sahara desert, bayelsa - tells you that power stored in a battery cells via a solar plant will be uninterrupted all year round? Anyway, when someone who went to school is talking from his practical experience, just humble yourself by learning or a simple "why do you think so?" will improve your learning curve........ Olodo smart people detector |
plaindealer:You and bob risky, I don't know who is more confused..... The guy is probably speaking from experience based on his time in a government university and you are here talking nonsense.... All government universities factor in the tendency for student to rely on electric stove for cooking, which is why they are banned in the first place in school hostels. But students still sneak and do it, hence his comment..... If you dont know what is powering your frustration, feel free to engage sniper... |
paulnewplay:Questions you need to answer first... 1. Do you have an external usb storage device of minimum size of 16gb, a laptop with at least 2 - 3gb of RAM that has a functional battery with back up power and a camera? 2. Do you have data access in the realm of gigabytes and are not afraid to do video streams once in a while? 3. Do you have zero knowledge of programming? 4. Do you think you are ready to start learning 2 programming languages, first thing tomorrow morning? 5. Are you willing to aggresively donate a minimum of 3hrs a day coding? If the answer to these questions are yes.... Say "Hi android" to me on this number 0 8 0 9 8 4 8 7 3 4 4 and state the exact city you are in.......Then we will take it from there...... |
His social media inflencers have advised him to deny owing salaries so that they can campaign well for him..... He himself knows he has lost, except thugs can come backed by police and soldiers to simulate a rigging environment, if PDP fields a radical like Dino or any grassroot man, APC has already lost kogi state..... They all know it, why do you think social media influencers are working double time, even on sunday morning sef....... The hustle is very real..... |
ToscanHenry:If we want to talk like you, then you will need to stop talking... After all, as at 2016, Tiwa sign a management and publishing deal with Roc Nation... A stepping stone to her new deal with Universal Music group,UMG. Now you tell me JayZ and Ricky whose bigger. For the record besides Sony Music and Warner music group, which other label is bigger than UMG in the US? Then do your research on folks/artist that are currently working with UMG. Then go and do your research on Alade's record label and her management company. After you have done this, read this your comment again and try and see if you can make sense out of Yemi beefing Tiwa assuming you were her brother....... |
You have to be the biggest fool, still wandering outside the cemetery unlike your colleagues tucked 6ft below to be beefing Tiwa Savage as a female artist. She no get personal business with una, she no collect una husband or boyfriend, she no dey chat anyhow upandan for social media... Yet she keeps going up, wise woman for industry go celebrate am, congratulate am, learn from her and if possible collaborate with her. Instead you are busy beefing someone for accomplishments you cannot achieve on your own without the help of another human being...... Your foolishness gan is customised...... |

iammo:On the contrary you are one who isn't educated on the subject nor the military workplace/environment......... Common minister of state for defence will cage a GOC not to talk of a sitting governor. Outside the realms of what is Top-secret - which is the exclusive domain of the commander-in-chief - in the hierarchy of the different levels/category of state secrets, Minister of state for defence, Minister of defence, Chairmen of house commitees on armed forces, defence or army of the senate; ONSA, CDS can summon a GOC and ask serious questions concerning security issues and will get prompt answers....... In fact there is no VSO or PSO that doesn't have the direct number of these all senators from their constituency as a matter of political security where their career is concerned. No right thinking GOC wants to have fracas with any local traditional ruler, not to talk of a sitting governor, because you never can tell when it will come back to bite you in the ass. I am aware of instances where Traditional rulers swiftly facilitated the premature retirement of Generals, not to talk of a sitting governor - a greater than a traditional ruler, that even gives them staff of office - who is asking pertinent questions on security issues in his domain..... Guy no just think am...... And before you start to quote me and talk about impractical possibilities and impossibilities, look for a serving Military personnel who is an officer around you and ask the person what "The General Idea" and "The Standard" means first, then re-read my post again and learn |
Another social media influencer on duty..... When he was busy threatening civil servants upandan, E no know. When he was busy threatening lawmakers upandan, E no know. Now election don come, he wants everyone to suddenly have "conscience" and stick to the facts.......
