Which Aniocha Progressive Grand Alliance should Chris Ngige join? Why should he join a sickly, weak party? What is in it for him? |
Looks like their pressure got to him. |
Looks like Ngige won't even have to be the one to resist this. Read the Igbo online forums, see what people are saying there ![]() The APGA/Peter Obi rigging machine will not prevail. |
Too early to be celebrating when ACN mandates are being stolen in Kwara, Benue, Anambra and Akwa Ibom ![]() |
It makes sense. But ultimately, justice will prevail. You will not rig and get away with it, this time around. And you missed Kwara as well in the title of your post. |
What I hate about this stuff is that they are not updating each ward/LGA immediately online on INEC. This is how it should be done. As soon as a result is complete, post it somewhere visible, so no wuruwuru can be done in the middle of the night. Otherwise, any close election can be stolen. |
aletheia:Yeah, I saw that. I was hoping for some sort of estimate of the margin of victory, things like that. Thanks though! |
Gbawe, can you shed some insight into Benue, Kwara, and Ngige's situation? |
Sky Blue:You don't know what the word convict means. How can one be a convict if the case was settled? He was INDICTED (i.e., accused of committing a crime), yes. But he was never CONVICTED (judged guilty of commiting the crime.) Two completely different things. It honestly pains me that you speak so authoritatively about a matter you know nothing about. |
How is labour doing so well in ondo? I'm a bit suspicious of that party due to their seeming closeness to the pdp ![]() But supposedly Mimiko is performing well. . . so understandable |
Jarus: What information (if any) do you have on Kwara and Benue? |
Let's see what the final results are broken down by LGA and ward before we declare the election credible. Me, I'm curious to see what the final results are in Kwara, Benue and Anambra. |
Where are the official results by ward and lga? |
On that note, I'm done with this thread for now. There is nothing more to be said until the official results come out. . . hopefully the Agulu Progressives Grand Alliance doesn't win |
Obiagu1: ![]() The ACN is sweeping the SW, taking names and kicking backside over ALL of Nigeria simply beause they are the best organized, best run, and most strategic party in the nation. That they can go deep into Anambra and kick backside in APGAs backyard, that APGA has to rig and intimate voters to eke out a win should tell you the formidable strength of my party. Now, if they can do that in APGAs stronghold, what do you think they will do in the SW, a place where the PDP has performed miserably? I understand, you want to blame another's success on "tribal politics." When a Fashola beats a Dosunmu, no doubt that will also be "tribal politics" ![]() Anyway, we've not seen the end of this story. Ngige will not go down without a fight, as his antecedents have shown. . . |
Jason, dude, chill out. You are being way too dramatic here. Calm down. |
Obiagu1:That is obviously not the issue; no one is claiming he'd win outright there. I am questioning the margin of victory though. It seems suspicious. 1) Why were the results released so late? 2) Is there any connection between the voter intimidation and the lack of votes for the ACN there? 3) Why the tribalist politics by Peter Obi and APGA? |
We shall see. If Ngige believes he won but was rigged or strongarmed (as that article describing Agulu indicates), then he will likely take it to court and pursue justice until the very end. |

![]() Shouldn't every Nigerian hope that candidates shouldn't be cheated out of elections? What hypocrisy is there? Not to talk of a member of my own party in Ngige. For both of those reasons, it is my business. |
^-- Intimidation by APGA thugs too in this Agulu area: http://www.saharareporters.com/news-page/apga-thugs-assault-opponents-governor-obi%E2%80%99s-hometown In the run-up to the election, Governor Obi resorted to ethnic politics to discredit Mr. Ngige. He published huge billboards showing APGA candidates with the late President of Nigeria Nnamdi Azikiwe and ailing former Biafran leader Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu whilst Mr. Ngige is shown in posters with the late Obafemi Awolowo and former Governor Bola Tinubu. A political activist from Anambra condemned Governor Obi’s manipulation of ethnic sentiments. “Look, Nigerians from all parts of the country supported Governor Obi in his epic battle to take back the governorship both from Dr. Ngige and Chief Andy Uba, who was installed by Obasanjo. So why is he trying to discredit Ngige by sending a message that Dr. Ngige belongs to a Yoruba party? It is a shame.”Heh. Well, I'll wait for the final results to be released. . . but I hope Ngige doesn't allow himself to be cheated out of victory by touts. |
Why the late release of results in Anaocha LGA? That single LGA is likely to be the determining factor. . . yet we hear no word about it until very late in the process. Seems a bit odd. . . |
Allta:I'm fine with that outcome. Checks and balances are a good thing. |
Certainly entitled to your own hypotheses. I won't begrudge you that. At least you aren't claiming that independent studies back you up. Regarding elections and demography. . . must I spell it out for you? Read about Idi-Araba here on this forum, if you don't get it. And when the numerous Igbos supposedly in Lagos cannot even capture a LGA, again, please do not complain of election rigging/marginalization, or whatever excuse you whiny b1tches will cook up next. |
I don't know what the margin of error is for the survey. As far as women's literacy rates, difference between 80% and 81% is probably not statistical significant. I assume the 90% vs 94% for men though is outside of the MoE. Anyway, I'm glad that you acknowledge that the Ebonyi #s are more akin to a northern state than a southern one. Possibly the most backwards state in the entire south ![]() Regarding Igbos being 45% of Lagos, well. . . I guess we'll see about that in one of these upcoming elections. Or is this going to be another fake Igbo propoganda that will be exposed once hard data actually appears? |
Kobo is a (detribalized) Igbo woman. At least, I'm pretty sure of this. You (and I) are safe, macjive01 ![]() |
Oil minister in N2.2b bribery scandal April 10, 2011 03:05AM print email The shakedown of the oil markerters, which amounts to about 2.2 billion naira is payable only in cash to a shady character called Mr Rufai, who was traced by reporters, to a small office in Abuja. Mr Rufai works as the big man for Mrs Allison-Madueke's most trusted officials. It is Mr Rufai who directed our reporters , posing as representatives of a to his office and instructed them how to make payment. Our reporters had called the same mobile phone given to the marketers. Get NEXTon Sunday from your vendor to read more, http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/Home/5688389-146/story.csp |
I doubt Tinubu is a Nas fan (or rap fan, period), but this song seems appropriate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2-rN-98kFQ |
@fstranger3: I don't care either. But my point is, I doubt the ACN will respect any of this "2015 for the Igbos" stuff. Zoning is not in their constitution; anybody who wants to run on the 2015 ACN platform will have to compete for it against some likely very formidable opponents. |

E sweet o! ![]() Tastes WAY too good. . . I could become an alcoholic off of that stuff ![]() |
Ngige 2015 is a possibility, but likely he will have to contend with Fashola as well. If I'm reading the situation properly, that is. |
Like i said, sorry if some find my words painful. However, truth often is. Dont know what it is with fstranger and his off the mark "insight". Lol. Yoruba women hear worse things than what i typed so whats with the sensitivity.
It isn't the truth the amongst those I know and hang around though. My best friend's sister is finishing this year in civil engineering. . . a girl who I went to church with is in dental school, girl I had a crush on in my high school already has her medical degree and is deep into her residency. A chick my aunt was trying to set me up with is in medical school right now in NYC. That is why it doesn't make sense to generalize. The people I grew up with here in the US, even the ones who were illegal immigrants, within one generation they've risen to the upper echelon of this society. So I don't get this idea you have of Yoruba folk mistreating their women. And frankly, the data even for Nigeria doesn't back it up. Stop eating up Igbo propaganda. . . they are great at telling stories and spinning bullsh1t, but the facts never match up with the stories. |
