Two ladies have been drugged and raped while visiting guys after they met via Facebook. One of the ladies identified as 'Ho Lar Sugar' was invited to a hotel and she came alongside her friend.

According to a report gathered from a Facebook user who posted the story, the ladies went to the hotel but were made to drink excessively and take drugs as well.

The boys were also reported to have made a rape video and shared it on WhatsApp. And unfortunately the video has also been uploaded on some porn websites.

According to a source, the boys have been arrested but eventually released the following day and have been going about bragging on the rape incident.

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Khadija Ibrahim has defeated her step son, Mohammed Ibrahim to clinch the All Progressives Congress, APC ticket for Damaturu/Gulani/Gujba/Tarmuwa, Yobe Federal Constituency.

Hajia Ibrahim is the wife of former Yobe State governor, Senator Abba Bukar Ibrahim. She was a House of Representatives member before her appointment as a minister by President Ibrahim Buhari.

Prof Abba Gambo, the returning officer, announced Hajia Ibrahim 1,295 votes to defeat Mohammed who scored only 15 votes.

In spite of pressures mounted on Mohammed to step down for his father’s wife, he insisted on the contest.

Two other contenders, House of Representatives member Abdullahi Kukuwa and Alhaji Ahmed Buba, stepped down for the minister while Mohammed refused.

The minister commended Abdullahi and Ahmed for withdrawing from the race to support her.

Senator Bukar Ibrahim, who stepped down his re-election bid against Governor Ibrahim Gaidam, did not attend any of the aspirants’ elections including the one contested by his wife and son.

Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has opened up on how she felt seeing her 17-year-old daughter, Michelle, attend university in another country and according to her, it was an emotional moment for her.

In a chat with Sunday Scoop, the actress said:

“Her absence hasn’t really been easy. Michelle and I have been together for 17 years before she had to go to university. Letting her go is very emotional for me. I still miss her a lot. She’s a big girl now and she’s starting her own journey in life.

I have brought her up well; I have inculcated the values I want her to live by in her. I have given her the foundation and I wish her the best. She’s always in my prayers. It’s just painful that after university, she’ll probably get married.”

Sharing tips on her beauty regimen, Aigbe said;

“I try to live a healthy lifestyle. I try as much as possible to stay away from fatty foods and I drink lots of water. I eat a lot of vegetables and fruits. I know this may sound cliché but that is how I’ve been able to look younger than my age.

I also exercise when I have the time to because I’m not able to do that as much as I would have liked because of busy schedule. Anytime I’m free, I jump on the treadmill and burn some calories.”

On her current projects, Aigbe said:

“I’m presently working on a Yoruba movie and it would be out soon. It is titled 77 Bullets. From the title, you should be able to picture what you would see in the movie. I will be taking it to the cinema and I am 100 per cent certain that people will like it.

Some of the actors in the movie include Yinka Quadri, Abimbola Ogunnowo and lots of A-list actors; it’s a star-studded movie. I have also done a lot of other jobs with other colleagues. Asides movies, I’m also a fashion entrepreneur and I’ve done a lot in that regard. My daughter recently launched a make-up line and we’ve been doing a lot of work on it.

Teen rapper Megabyte, has revealed that Femi Otedola has paid his school fees for the current session, after the billionaire promised to sponsor his education up to the university level.

In a chat with Sunday Scoop, Megabyte said:

“I’m in a better school and I have everything I need for a successful academic session. I thank God for bringing me close to Otedola. He has vowed to take responsibility for my education till I graduate from the university. This is a great relief for my mum as she doesn’t have to worry about school fees anymore.”

A wonder bank in Calabar has allegedly defrauded unsuspecting customers to the tune of N27 billion, after the operators bolted with their deposits in Cross River State.

The bank, operating under the name Micheno Multipurpose Cooperative Society, MMCS, reportedly succeeded in defrauding over 13,000 people who trusted them with their money.

The scheme owned and operated by one Michael Eke, had promised depositors of N100,000 an additional N50,000 at the end of 40 days, and those who deposit N150,000 would get N300,000 at the same period, Vanguard reports. A deposit of N1 million would earn a N500,000 profit at the end of the same period while deposits above N1 million would be calculated in N1 million units.

The scheme berthed in Calabar in June 2018 had been attracting patronage from Cross River state residents. Some of the depositors parted with their life savings and others deposited their gratuities, which run into millions, with the hope of reaping bountifully at the end of 40 days.

However, at the end of the 40 days, some depositors got only a small part of their deposits sent back to them, while over 13,000 others did not get anything and have since not heard from the operators of the bank in the past one month. Their office in Calabar has remained shut since then.

The scheme started as a Swiss marketing company on WhatsApp and in less than one month, the groups grew to about 36 all providing information on the benefits of joining the scheme and attracted a lot of people.

A victim, Edna Nzegu, said:

I have N33 million stocks with the scheme. It may not be much compared to what others have but this has destabilised my life and turned me to mad woman with no bearing and I have lost interest in life and work.

Some of the depositors accused a Calabar-based comedian, MC Mbakara, of conniving with Mr Eke to fleece them of their money by promoting the scheme on his WhatsApp thread and website, which persuaded them to believe that the scheme was genuine and he has since gone into hiding.

Speaking from his hideout, Mbakara said he was not part of the company even when he was appointed vice president of the scheme by Eke.

He said:

I have been accused of so many things I am not aware of. I am not on the run and not hiding. My phone lines have been open and I am very available.

He added he was only a brand ambassador whose following on and offline was used by Eke to drive an aggressive campaign that brought a lot of depositors to the scheme.

Cross River Police Command spokesperson, Ms Irne Ugbo, said reports had been made by some depositors of the scheme and investigation is ongoing "to unravel what the scheme is about and what actually happened to the depositors' funds."

A man of God, Pastor Michael Adebowale, has urged an Iseyin Customary Court in Oyo State to dissolve his four-year marriage as he is no longer interested just because of the devilish attitude of his wife.

“My wife, Ashabi, is a devil,” the middle-aged pastor told the court.

Adebowale informed the court that the marriage contracted four years ago, had produced two children. But every new day is like Hell to him and his prayers no longer ascend to Heaven.

“My wife is evil, I noticed my prayers are not really answered by God like before and I have also noticed that I am now living with a devil.

“She will not attend church or join me in prayers, all she is specialised in is to gossip around town and go to parties.

“I have told her to pack out of my house and she has not obeyed me. I want her totally out of my life so that I can begin to receive`anointing’ again from God,” he said.

The President of the court, Mr Adelodun Raheem, after listening to the petitioner, ordered that another summons be served on the respondent.

He said Ashabi must appear in court at its next sitting and adjourned the case until October 5.

Popular actress Tonto Dikeh has reacted to the trending suicidal story of Nigerian philanthropist, Adepeju Olakokun, and she called Kokun a snitch before praying for him.

Earlier today, we reported that Kokun revealed that he is depressed, and was even contemplating suicide.

Kokun had taken to his Instastory to talk about his depression and wrote;

“God knows I have never been so sad and depressed this way for a very long time… I feel like committing suicide.

“I feel so much Depress.. Can’t believe this happen to me .. I am very sad and feel with pain.. God I taught you have answered my prayers… This so much for me”.

Kokun’s one-time friend, Tonto Dikeh, then reacted by lending her voice through the comment section of his post. She decleared that he will be okay, but not before she called him a snitch.

The duo had fallen out sometime around last year when Tonto Dikeh had reportedly revealed to Kokun her hatred for a certain friend. It was then reported that Kokun went ahead to leak the chat to the friend.

Passengers of A God is Good bus narrowly escaped death after the vehicle crashed along the Benin-Lagos Express Road after the driver allegedly slept off while on the steering.

The incident reportedly happened yesterday, Sunday 23rd September, 2018, Daily Post reports.

One of the passengers, who identified herself as Chenemi, told newsmen that the bus veered off the road after the driver reportedly dozed off and landed in a bush.

“The driver slept off while on steering and lost control of the vehicle. Before we knew it, we were already heading towards the bush.

“I sustained injury on my forehead. It was the airbag that saved me because I was sitting close to the driver.”

The source further disclosed that eight other persons were severely injured while an infant lost one of her fingers to the mishap.

She blamed the driver for his unprofessional conduct while calling on the relevant authorities to call the management of the company to order.

The incident happened days after over seven passengers, mostly women traveling with same transport company were kidnapped.

The passengers were abducted on their way to Lagos from Enugu in Ore.

Meanwhile, a text message to the media department of the company for reaction was not replied at the time of this report.

Nollywood actor, Gentle Jack, who recently expressed displeasure with the neglect of action movies, which happen to be his area of specialty, has stated that Nigerian movie producers cannot afford to pay him.

Speaking on social media, the actor said there was no time he stopped acting. According to him, cable stations have refused to broadcast action movies like they show other movies.

Gentle Jack, however, told Sunday Scoop that since he made the observation, he was yet to see any improvement.

He said:

“I am an action hero and I have a passion for epic movies. Since I voiced out, the feedback has been poor. It is only a few people who responded. I am not the only person involved; it has also affected many of my colleagues who do action movies.”

While saying that he could play any role as an actor, he stated that he had a preference for action movies.

He said:

“As an actor, I am versatile. Recently, I shot a comedy movie with Wale Adenuga Production titled, Knockout. I can be involved in all kinds of movies including comedy, romance and adventure stories. But I have a passion for action or epic movies.”

Gentle Jack also revealed that he relocated to Port Harcourt about three years ago as he had been living in Lagos since he was born.

He said:

“Moving to Port Harcourt has not affected my acting career. If you are looking for me, you can always call me. But most times, producers find it hard to pay me; so, they look for cheaper options.

One thing they don’t understand is that no one can be like Gentle Jack. I thank God I made my mark in the early years of Nollywood. I still make money from acting. Serious producers contact me for jobs. If Wale Adenuga didn’t believe in me, he wouldn’t call me for a production.”

Super Eagles forward Ahmed Musa scores hat-trick for Al Nassr in their 3-0 win over Al-Qadisiyah in a Saudi Arabia Pro-League fixture played on Wednesday, September 19.

Musa who moved to Al Nassr from Leicester City was the hero as he scored all three goals for his side to record a comfortable victory.

The 25-year-old scored his first goal of the encounter in the 20th minute to give his side a first half lead.

Nollywood actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has reacted to a statement posted on Instagram by a female fan claiming that he had a one-night stand with her.

According to a chat with The Punch, Mr Ibu said although he posed for a photo shot with the fan in question, he never had sexual intercourse with her.

Recounting what happened, he said:

“The woman approached me to take a picture with me alongside her husband. She said she happily posted those pictures she took with me without any write-up. It was when a blog carried the picture that a write-up appeared from nowhere.

“I initially called police to arrest the woman, but she came to my house with her family to apologise that she would not have posted the picture had she known it would cause trouble. She swore that she would not have a child, if she ever wrote anything evil about me. I believed her. I told her that she did nothing wrong by posting the picture.”

The actor described the offensive statement as the handiwork of unknown enemies who were planning to tarnish his image.

Pleading with members of the public not to believe everything they read online, Ibu also claimed that some people, in an attempt to rubbish his name, had hacked into his social media accounts and impersonated him.

He said:

“I know that I have enemies. They were the ones who put that write-up to tarnish my image, but they can never succeed because I have never stepped on anybody’s toes and I will never do it. I only want to upgrade people and make them happy.

“Some people are trying to pull me down. I’ve witnessed instances where hackers used my account to defraud other people and upload all sorts of nonsense about me. But I always tell people that I am not the owner of those accounts.”

On his ongoing movie project, Ibu described it as the biggest he had done till date, while disclosing that a major Hollywood actor had been billed to appear in the movie.

Asked what other career he would have chosen beside comic acting, Mr Ibu said he would have loved to be a football agent.

Residents of Adejonwo close, off Jonathan Coker road, Fagba area of Lagos State, were shocked on Tuesday morning when they were greeted with the cries from a canteen owner whose shop had been burgled and the thieves went off with her pots of soup.

The Guardian reports that Testimony Kitchen was broken into and the thieves carted away coolers of soup, meat, rice and beans.

The owner of the canteen had prepared the soup and some food overnight for early callers the following day. To her shock, she resumed on Tuesday morning and discovered her shop was burgled.

She was so downcast and disoriented. Her customers, many who came to get food for their kids set for school, were also astonished.

Narrating the incident , a neighbour, Mrs. Ayodele Adebayo, said:

“I have witnessed four similar incidents in the past few weeks. People are hungry and what they have resorted to is breaking into people’s shop to steal foodstuff, soup and meat. If you catch them they will explain to you that they are hungry and have no other option.

The family who stole my co-tenant’s food was even asking whether they could still get more to eat. It is that bad. People are really hungry. Recession has only ended on the pages of newspapers.”

An "Inside Edition" crew who were filming a documentary on crime in California's San Francisco Bay Area became the victims of a true robbery — resulting in the loss of thousands of dollars worth of equipment.

The media crew who are employees of “Inside Edition”, in an attempt to report on rampant robberies in the area, filmed themselves planting GPS trackers inside items that were placed in a car parked in an area well-known for theft.

The trackers were placed inside of a $250 speaker and a purse just before reporter Lisa Guerrero explains “for [their] last trick,” they also placed video cameras throughout the car in the event the products get stolen.

Sure enough, two people were soon spotted robbing the vehicle; a man was seen in the segment smashing open the car’s back window, pulling out the handbag and throwing it to a woman sitting nearby before removing the speaker.

According to a man whose surveillance footage caught the incident, he said “it all lasted maybe 20 seconds.”

The “Inside Edition” crew then tracked down the speaker and confronted the duo as they walked into a train station.

“You’ve got my speaker right there, you just broke into our car,” Guerrero says, telling the man they’ve “got it on camera.”

While the man tries to shy away from the cameraperson, and, at one point even pushing the camera down, the reporter informs him “five million people are going to see [him] steal that.” Refusing to give it back, the man says he’s going to call his mother — an offer Guerrero encourages.

“Inside Edition” said the man eventually left the speaker, and they later moved on to track the stolen purse, which was found in a garbage can.

While the crew was interviewing the man captured on camera in the initial theft, their actual crew car was broken into via the “smash and grab” method, leaving “equipment worth thousands of dollars” stolen.

Murdered Boko Haram hostage, Saifura Hussaini Ahmed Khorsa, the worker of the International Committtee of the Red Cross, was a nurse as well as the mother of two adorable kids.

The Red Cross bemoaning her killing by the blood thirsty Boko Haram on Monday wondered how the kids, now with their grandma would take news of her death, NAN reports.


“Saifura, 25, was a devoted mother and midwife. Those who knew her said she adored her two children, a two-year-old boy and a five-year-old girl”, said Eleojo Akpa, the ICRC Communications and Media Relations Officer.

“The children have not been able to comprehend their mother’s absence, as they frequently asked their grandmother if a passing plane was bringing their mother home.

“That grandmother must now find the words to tell the two children their mother will never return”, he said.

The killing of the 25 year-old woman was condemned by Red Cross (ICRC), which also appealed to the Boko Haram to immediately release a second ICRC midwife and a healthcare worker who were also abducted in March at Rann, Borno state.

Eloi Fillion, the Head, ICRC delegation in Abuja said:

“We are devastated by the murder of our colleague, Saifura.

“Saifura moved to Rann to selflessly help those in need. Our thoughts are with her family and other loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.

“At the time of their abduction, Saifura, as well as our colleague, Hauwa Mohammed Liman, and Alice Loksha, a nurse with UNICEF-supported centre, were providing essential ante-natal care to communities in Rann.

“Rann’s population has more than doubled after an influx of people fleeing violence,’’ he said.

Fillion urged the abductors still holding Hauwa and Alice to release them as they were not part of the fight.

“However, ICRC would not comment on the identity of the women’s abductors, their motives or the details surrounding Saifura’s death,’’ Fillion said.

He noted that since the women’s abduction six months ago, ICRC had made sustained and committed efforts to securing the release of the three health care workers.

Fillion added that the organisation would continue to make efforts in ensuring that Hauwa and Alice were released and returned to their families immediately.

A woman identified as Mrs Juliet Ajibode has been allegedly murdered in her Abuja home by unknown assailants. The woman who was an ardent Buhari supporter was a legal practitioner and billed to travel to the United States.

According to reports, the decomposing body of the woman was found days after she was murdered and she had to be buried immediately.

It was gathered that the suspected assailant stole her cellphone, Laptop and ATM card. Read a post shared by a friend.

The Nigerian Air Force has tracked and destroyed some Boko Haram vehicles as they were making plans to launch fresh attacks on ground troops locations at Gudumbali and Damasak in Borno.

Nigerian Air Force Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, who disclosed this in a statement on Saturday in Abuja, said that the operation was carried out in the early hours Saturday, The Punch Reports.

He explained that the mission was initiated following intelligence reports indicating that a convoy of BHT vehicles had been sighted within the Damasak – Gudumbali axis.

“Accordingly, a Nigerian Air Force Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance platform was dispatched to search for and locate the convoy of vehicles.

“The ISR aircraft spotted vehicles at a location 24 Km SW of Gudumbali heading in a northwards direction. Consequently, a helicopter gunship was scrambled to attack the convoy.

“The helicopter arrived the location and was vectored to the position of the vehicles, which, at the time, were about midway between Nigerian Army locations at Metele and Arege.

“Following communications with ground troops, the BHT vehicles were positively identified, isolated and attacked by the helicopter gunship in successive strikes.”

Daramola said that in the process, four of the vehicles were immobilized and their occupants neutralised.

“The ISR aircraft continued to track the remaining 5 vehicles, which initially dispersed but later regrouped and continued their retreat to Tumbun Rego.

“They were subsequently attacked at their harbour location by the freshly rearmed helicopter gunship; with 3 direct hits recorded on the vehicles,” he said.

He said that a follow-up attack on the newly discovered insurgents’ logistics base in Tumbun Rego was conducted by 2 Alpha Jet aircraft later in the morning.

“The makeshift buildings and other facilities in the base were accordingly destroyed in the air strike.”

The NAF spokesman said that the NAF, working in concert with surface forces, would sustain the momentum of operations with a view to destroying vestiges of the insurgents in the Lake Chad green fringes and other areas in Northern Borno.
