A commercial tricyclist (Keke NAPEP rider), Mr Abuchi Odoh and his wife, Ndidi, a trainee seamstress have been embarrassed with an overwhelming joy after the woman gave birth to quintuplets on Thursday.

Mrs Odoh, 30, was delivered of the quintuplets, four males and one female, through caesarean surgey at God’s Mercy Maternity Home, Obiuno Otolo, Nnewi, Anambra State. She said she was actually suspecting that it would not be a single birth because of how heavy she felt during the pregnancy.

Prior to the birth of the quintuplets, she had had three girls delivered in single births and a set of triplets, all boys, though two of the boys later died, one year and three months after they were delivered.

Commenting on the outcome of the latest pregnancy, the husband, Mr Odoh, said he never bargained for quintuplets as he was still battling to feed his family, given his meagre income.

When he was told that his wife had given birth to five babies, 40-year-old Odoh, a native of Okparigbovoko Nsukka in Enugu State said that he wanted to run away from the responsibility of taking care of the five babies not because he did not appreciate the blessing but because he did not know where to start from to raise money to handle the crisis.

On his feelings about the mixed blessings, he said:

“I’m a Keke NAPEP rider. The keke is my own but it is very old. I never expected that my wife would deliver quintuplets. In fact, I was expecting one baby and that was my prayer.

I don’t have means to take care of one in addition to the number we have already let alone additional five babies at a go. I’m shocked.

This is over blessing. I wanted to run away yesterday but people held me back not because I am not happy for the gift of the babies but because I have nothing to take care of them.”

Odoh appealed to Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Anambra State governor, Dr Willie Obiano, his Deputy, Dr Nkem Okeke, organizations and all public-spirited individuals to come to his rescue, saying, “because I’m now totally confused.”

The nurse who delivered the woman of the babies at the maternity, Mrs Blessing Odoemena, said when the woman went for the first scanning during the pregnancy the result showed twins, then the second scan showed triplets “but I never believed the results because I knew she was harbouring more than that.” She said she had in the past delivered the woman of all her babies and was able to know her system to some extent.

Odoemena said when the woman had three girls initially, she was troubled for not having a male child and said she continued to advise her to be patient.

“When she was delivered of the triplets of three male children I celebrated that with them and even planned to hang their picture in my office. But when two of the triplets died it was very painful to the family and me too.

I challenged God to prove Himself as the God of impossibilities and the family was surprised with this package of quintuplets. And the babies are very healthy, eating well,” the nurse said. She added her voice to appeal for help.

A Nigerian man who is currently in Kenya to see his girlfriend, has been robbed in the hotel where he lodged alongside his other friends.

The man identified as Abdbdulhakim who revealed that he is married, visited his Kenyan girlfriend in Mombasa before he was allegedly drugged and his belongings stolen.

Abdbdulhakim whose family is based in Dublin, Ireland, said he visited the country on Friday, July 13, and checked into Paroma Guest House in Bamburi where he stayed for nine days before the robbery incident.

The Nigerian man robbed in Kenya while narrating his ordeal to journalists, claimed CCTV footage from the hotel revealed he was robbed by female guests who had also checked into the guest house after him.

Below is what he said during the interview with journalist.

“I am in Kenya on tour to see my girlfriend Rose Aridi, I came to Mombasa on July 13, 2018, and checked into a hotel called Paroma Guest house around Bamburi,” narrated the distraught tourist. “After 9 days I was robed by another guest in that hotel, two ladies, to my surprise CCTV footage revealed that this lady actually robbed me and my friends”.

“The woman was banging until another female guest came to open, and this female guest had been at the guest house even before the others checked in. Before the lady opened my door the manager had also arrived.”

“They told me they could not compensate me, I have been stranded here I need to talk to my family, my wife and kids live in Dublin, I have no access to them, I can not call them… this is national degrading by Kenya”..

Miss Linda Angela Igwetu, the female corper shot dead in Abuja, buried amidst tears.

The female member of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC who was shot by a police officer while on her way home with her friends in Abuja, has been laid to rest.

The late NYSC member who was killed a day before her Passing Out Parade, was buried at her hometown in Ukpor, Nnewi South Local government area of Anambra state.


The sad incident occurred around Cedi Plaza in Central Area on July 4th at about 3:00 a.m.

According to the deceased sister, Chinenye, she returned from her primary place of assignment at Outsource Global Ltd., a customer support outsourcing firm in Mabushi, around 11:00 p.m, the day before the incident

“She relaxed at home and later said her friends had come to pick her up for them to go and hang out,” she said.

The ill-fated merrymaking was to celebrate their successful completion of the one-year youth service, her sister said. Her batch was slated to pass out tomorrow, she added.

The hospital she was rushed to in Abuja was later accused of delaying her treatment due to lack of deposit from her friends. This they denied and claimed the late Linda was immediately attended to, although she had lost a lot of blood before arrival at the hospital.

Nigeria’s female pop singer Doyinsola was a contestant on the popular music talent show, Star Quest in 2007, and she used the medium to show Nigerians the stuff she was made of.

Since the show, Doyinsola has continued to work on her craft and put her music on the lips of many people.

In this new interview with SEGUN ADEBAYO, she talked about her music career and what to expect from her before the year runs out.

When you joined the music industry some years back, you promised to redefine Afro Pop music. With the way things are going for you now, can you say you have done well for yourself?

I would say yes. I am not where I want to be, but I am not where I used to be. The reception from the industry is really amazing. Everybody I have met showed me respect. The love has been motivating me to keep going.

To some people, music was the only thing they could do well. Others would say they switched to music when other things failed. In your case, how would you describe your journey into music?

My case is not a cliché. I was born into a musical family and I have been representing my school and church since age seven. My parents encouraged me to join the musical contest, Star Quest in 2007, even when I was still an undergraduate at the Lagos State University (LASU). I missed my second semester exams as a result of that.

I later left LASU for Bowen University, where I bagged my BSc in Economics. Immediately after school, I knew music was my first option and my brother paid for my first studio session to record Bamidele in 2015.

You were on Star Quest in 2007 but released your debut single in 2015. That was eight years after. Why did it take so long?

I went back to school because I understood that nothing could replace education. I studied Economics and it was a decision I would cherish for the rest of my life. The respect I get from people now, because they know I am a graduate and music is not do or die for me; they respect my decisions and opinions. Education is very important to me. Honestly I thought I would work in the corporate world but music found me. Looking back now, doing music is one of the best decisions I have made.

What was the experience like on Star Quest?

I would like to thank my now Manager for the encouragement he gave me to join the show. I am not exactly a fan of reality shows as I thought such show was fixed. But the competition exposed me to a lot of things. I now understand music better because of that experience. My live performances have also improved and I am grateful for the experience.

Since you released Bamidele in 2015, what has changed about your career and why does it seem you are still yet to convince your fans that you are here to stay?

My major challenge has been funds. Promoting one’s music can be very expensive but with the little we have and with the fan base, I have grown, I am sure they know I stand for refined music. Anytime people hear my song, especially a new convert, they always fall in love with the sound. It has not been easy, but I’m sure, with the support of the media, discovering and promoting my sound, all that would soon be history.

Many people didn’t believe I would still be here, but I’m releasing my new single soon, I have some major collaborations in the works too. New videos and many more to offer are in the pipeline.

How has music been for you since you started, and do you think your music career is taking shape?

I did not even believe I would be here by now. I walk the street with a tinted vehicle now, because of the fear of being harassed even on the road. My career is taking the shape God wants it to take and I believe this is my time of sowing; very soon, I will reap.

At some point, you were said to have switched to the fashion line when music was not paying, how has it been?

I did not switch. I have been sewing since I was 12. Fashion has always been part of me, and as an artiste, being fashionable is also part of the game. I style myself. When people see me, they ask who sew my clothes.

At a point, my friends started asking me to make samples for them also and they actually want to pay me. So, I reckoned why not. Now when I’m not in the studio, I’m in my workshop making beautiful pieces with my team. The fashion line is really helping as I make some cash there to sponsor the music. I am glad for the talents I have. I can smell my success already; it’s only a matter of time.

Would you drop fashion one day when music becomes bigger?

No! The dream is to make the fashion as big as the music. For me, both work for the growth of each other. The more my music grows, the bigger my fashion will also become. With Tiwa, Simi, Chidinma, Yemi Alade, Niniola and others ruling the airwaves, how do you intend to break into the music industry?

I believe we are all unique in our own different ways. The people you mentioned are the shining stars that give people like me hope. I don’t see them as competition, I see them as friends and mentors, and I believe my talent and style will set me aside. I believe if we all stick together as a force, we can break the barrier. The ladies have to show more support to each other.

How would you describe your kind of music?

I don’t like to cage myself when it comes to this music. I cut across and can give different vibes and sounds as long as it’s music. I draw my inspiration from things and people around me.

You did a song with 9ice and the video was also shot, but we don’t seem to be getting the best of you yet. How do you want to change this perception?

We keep working till we become the household name and our song on everyone’s lips. We’re coming to takeover let’s just trust the process.

What was it like having 9ice on your song?

It was like a dream come true. He’s someone I have admired from afar and when God said it was time, He made it happen. He blessed my song with his unique sound and brought life to it. He’s indeed 9ice because he gave his best and encouraged me. I am forever grateful to him for not treating me as just one girl in the industry, but as a daughter.

Which Nigerian artiste do you dream to feature on your new songs?

My dreams are quite big. I hope to work with the likes of David, Wizkid, 2baba, Wande Coal I can go on and on.

Has it been hard for you not having a record label that could help you realise your dreams?

It’s not been so easy having to do this alone. It’s not enough to have a good song without promoting it and shooting quality video. The few songs I have out there were produced and mastered by one of the best hands in the industry.

Even as an unsigned artiste, I still strive to put out the best. Thank God for the good support system that I have- my parents, brothers and manager.

Is it true that you are signed to your manager’s label?

What my manager runs is a management company. It is totally different from a record label. I am not under any label at the moment.

What does it mean to be managed by a man?

Whether it is man or woman, one thing I have come to understand is you need to have a manager that understands and believes in you. He takes a lot of insults on my behalf and has never complained.

Court sentences killers of Benue Catholic priest to death by hanging

The two surviving kidnappers and murderers of Fr John Adeyi have been sentenced to death by hanging by a Makurdi High Court on Wednesday 25th July 2018.

Father Adeyi, the Vicar General of Catholic Diocese of Otukpo and Parish Priest of Catholic Church Okpoga, was in 2016 kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

The cleric was later killed and his body dumped in a farm near Otukpa.

However, four of the kidnappers were arrested by A team of the Nigerian police led by ACP Abba Kyari few months after.

In a verdict on Wednesday, the court found the two surviving suspects guilty and handed them death by hanging.

Reacting to the judgment, the family of the late cleric in a statement, described the court’s verdict as justice at last.

“Today being 25/07/2018, the kidnappers and murderers of Fr John Adeyi have been convicted and sentenced to death by hanging by a High Court in Makurdi.

“While applauding the judgement and thanking God and all those who made this come true, we must say that today is a sad day to be reminded of the brutal death of our dear Very Rev Fr John Adeyi, PhD.

“It is gratifying, however, to know that the culprits did not go unpunished.

”May the soul of Fr Adeyi continue to rest in perfect peace with his creator.”

Greek authorities are looking for dozens of people missing after the deadly wildfires near Athens.

At least 80 people have died, and a search continues for survivors who fled the blaze, including those who took to the sea.

High winds spread the fire, trapping many in homes and vehicles and forcing others into the water as they tried to escape the flames.

The Greece wildfires is now widely reported to be the deadliest on record in Greece.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has declared three days of mourning.

One father, Yiannis Philippopoulos, told Greek television his nine-year-old twin girls were still missing.

He said he had seen his daughters, Sophia and Vasiliki, alive on TV news footage as they got off a fishing boat that had rescued them. But he has not since heard from them or their grandparents, who had been with them earlier that day.

There is no formal count of the missing. The fire brigade has received dozens of calls, but is unable to verify the exact number.

Relatives of those reported missing have posted photographs of more than 30 people online in the hope of tracing their whereabouts.

Coastal patrol boats combed the shoreline on Wednesday, searching for survivors and bodies, while rescue teams searched houses and cars.

The number of injured, meanwhile, continues to grow, and stands at more than 180, including two dozen or so children. Tourists were also caught up in the blaze, including one British man who was treated for burns.

Others have been evacuated to temporary accommodation.

Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has appealed to online publishers to desist from the spread of fake news through their platforms warning that they stand to lose credibility if their publications are identified with fake news.

He spoke during an interaction with online publishers and social media influencers in Lagos on Tuesday, in furtherance of the National Campaign Against Fake News which was launched by the Federal Government in Abuja 11 July 2018.

“Your credibility, and indeed your source of livelihood, is at stake. If the society loses confidence in the media, especially social media, because of fake news, you will be the worst hit.

And we are very close to that point now. Today, nobody knows what to believe anymore. You read something online, and within a few hours, it is denied. The fake news epidemic is spreading fast,” he told the publishers and the influencers.

He urged the publishers to lend their support to the campaign, just like the traditional media has done, saying:

“A starting point is for you to put a banner on your various platforms that says: SAY NO TO FAKE NEWS! Of course, a platform that abhors fake news will not engage in one.”

He also appealed to Nigerians to do two simple things: Before sharing that information on Facebook, Twitter or WhatsApp, ask how credible the source is, and Don’t share any information for which you can’t vouch.

“The war against fake news is a must-win. As a multi-ethnic, multi-religious nation, Nigeria cannot afford an unbridled spread of fake news. This phenomenon is exploiting our fault lines to aggravate the crises in the country,” the Minister said, adding that the government will neither resort to coercion nor censorship in the campaign.

“Gory pictures from other lands are circulated freely via Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter, purportedly being from the killings in Benue or Plateau States,” Alhaji Mohammed said.

The National Campaign Against Fake News is aimed at sensitizing Nigerians to the dangers posed to the peace and security, democracy, and indeed the corporate existence of Nigeria by an unbridled spread of false information.

Toyin Saraki, wife of the Senate President Bukola Saraki, has spoken out on her husband's travail with the Nigeria Police Force.

Toyin reacted to a statement by DSP Jimoh Moshood on TV who insinuated that the vehicles that blocked the road outside the Saraki's Abuja residence could possibly be "protection provided to the Wife of the Senate President".

In a series of tweets, she said:

Dear @channelstv @sunrisedailynow I am absolutely flabbergasted by @PoliceNG Jimoh Moshood on TV attempting to claim that these white vehicles that blockaded the road outside our Abuja residence could possibly be "protection provided to the Wife of the Senate President" !

Firstly I have never received any vehicle from @PoliceNG Secondly, I believe these vehicles bear a striking resemblance to cars donated by my dear brother @AlikoDangote. I hope DSP Jimoh Moshood can leave me out of this unseemly contretemps. Thank you!

Chioma dumps school finally - Family not happy with development

There is a report going round the news on singer Davido's girlfriend and from every indication, it looks like Chioma has finally dumped school to concentrate on her love affair with the pop star.

According to Vanguard Ripples, a reliable source revealed the story and the report also has it that the chef's family members are not happy with the new development.

The source also revealed that Chioma’s father, who is a devout Seventh Day Adventist is not particularly pleased that his daughter has not been serious with her studies.

Chioma who gained admission into Babcock University (a Seventh Day Adventist school) to read economics in 2012 is yet to graduate, when she should have completed the course since 2016.

Chioma, once skipped a whole session because she was travellling around with Davido and had to defer her studies. For months now, she has not been attending classes. I can’t even remember the last time she was in school. The last thing I heard from her friends in school is that she’s not interested in coming back to Babcock. She’s travelled out of the country again and it doesn’t look like she’s coming back. .

A friend confessed to me that she told her she’s not coming back to Babcock, said a source who wouldn’t want her name in print. It was further gathered that her father has had a strict talk with her that she must finish school before embarking on any marriage plans.

The devout Seventh Day Adventist parents are said to be pained about their child treating her celebrated love affair with the superstar singer as top priority over her education. It is public knowledge that Chioma and Davido are already living like they are married. Wherever there’s Davido, Chioma is sure to be there.

For a woman who had a Porsche car gift on her birthday and a song in her name ruling the airwaves, the fantasy that comes with it may just be too much for her to handle, family or not.

A Nigerian cleric, Pastor Isaac Onwordi, has been allegedly accused of duping a couple of their house in Windhoek, Namibia.

Pastor Isaac Onwordi of the Life-Changing Christian Church pastor made his appearance together with his wife, Suama Ndagodja Onwordi, at the Windhoek Magistrate Court last Friday.

According to the state’s case, Onwordi forged a document for ownership of a N$1.5 million worth house that is in Windhoek and belongs to Mr Gervasius Arnat and his wife, who were at the time members of his Katutura based church.

The pastor is said to have, under false pretenses, agreed to rent out the couple’s house, which later resulted in their losing access to their property located at Erf 148 Nthilla Street, Dorado Park.

Onwordi, who was with an entourage of his church mates was ducking and diving from the camera when the court postponed his case to the 16th of October 2018, to allow for more investigations and his bail was consequently extended together with that of his accused wife.

He and his wife are on N$10 000 bail and the judge warned that failure to appear in court will see a warrant of arrest being issued against them and their bail cancelled.

They have been instructed not to interfere with police investigations, hand over their travelling documents and not to leave the district of Windhoek without prior permission.

However, everything turned ugly outside court when Gervasius Arnat approached their daughter to hand over their car since she had been told by the pastor not to associate with them.

Speaking to The Villager, Arnat said his daughter had changed her name from Gervaldo to Faith and had refused to hand over the car insisting that they address her by her new name, Faith.

“We even bought her property at a flat she was renting but now all that is gone. She can’t speak to us anymore because of the pastor, can you imagine that? A pastor comes all the way from Nigeria to ruin families, ha?” said the mother visibly shaken by the confrontation.

An eye witness told The Villager that soon after the chaos began, Onwordi’s son began taking a video recording saying that the parents were harassing her.

“She was told that if she drives the car she would die because the parents bewitched it. Her name is Gervaldo Arnat but the pastor changed it to Faith, can you believe that?” an eye witness and ex-member of the church said.

Onwordi and his church are not new to controversy, The Villager reported recently that the pastor was being accused of running it like a cult, telling his fellowship that they would die if they do not follow some of his instructions.

He has hit back at whistleblowers and critics accusing them of libel while he insisted that he was a genuine man of God.

A twitter user has narrated on the platform on how a guy failed his girlfriend's test twice.

The guy had been set up by the girlfriend with her friend and he fell for the plot and actually paid the other girl a visit only to meet his girlfriend at her place. Surprisingly, he fell into the same trap again with the same girl.

A twitter user identified as Tracy Sylvester has taken to the platform to narrate on her experience in Lagos. According to her, a certain luxurious car that was occupied by a white man and a Police escort tried to disobey the traffic, but they were met with a bigger match.

The Policeman with the foreigner had been diverting other vehicles at the other side of the road when a certain vehicle refused to move. He then went to confront the occupants, only to discover they were Army officers.

I experienced the best scene of a life time in Lagos today. I was at a particular bstop just before Egbeda, there was mad traffic on one side of the road and the other side was pretty free. Apparently the person in a black mercedes GL class couldn't take it anymore.

So as soon as they got to a road cut, a policeman came down from the passenger's side of the Mercedes, stopped some cars and they diverted to the free road tryna use one way. The amazing part....... It wasn't up to 10 secs they did that, the Mercedes got blocked by a black Lexus

The furious police man came down again, went straight to the Lexus, tapped the drivers window and demonstrated angrily "My friend, will you move to one side" Then it happened.. A man in his mid 40's and 3 other men came down from the Lexus and guess what? They were army officers

Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus had come under fire in the course of the previous week when some fans attacked her on her Instagram page over her choice of posture for the gram.

After posting a stylish photo, a lady slammed her for behaving like a young girl.

She said:

“But madam, to be honest, I am a true fan of yours and I won’t join people praising this photo and end up laughing behind the camera! 90 per cent of fans acquired on Instagram are not loyal. This post is not for young girls! Don’t try to compete with these young girls and how they pose. Thick women don’t pose like this.”

In her response, the actress said she couldn’t remember telling the female fan how to live her life.

Explaining why she replied the fan, Eniola Badmus told Sunday Scoop that she was also a human being and couldn’t ignore some things.

When popular Nigerian singer Harrison released another version of his hit track, Selense, so many people wondered why he did that.

He however opened up in a new chat with Sunday Scoop that it was because of the feud between Reekado Banks and Kizz Daniel, whom he featured in the first version.

Harrysong then went ahead to release the new version featuring Iyanya and Dice Ailes, and stopped the promotion of the original version which featured Kizz Daniel and Reekado Banks.

Contrary to certain reports, Harrysong said he didn’t take offence with Kizz Daniel’s claim that he was the biggest artiste in the country.

According to the Reggae Blues singer, he was upset because Kizz Daniel refused to work on any song with Reekado Banks.

Speaking through his manager, Desmond Ike, Harrysong said:

“It wasn’t about what Kizz Daniel said on the song; there is nothing out of place about it. When you do something with people and they don’t make it easy for you, you have to look for a way to sort yourself out.

Harrysong originally did the song with Reekado Banks and Kizz Daniel but at a point, Daniel said he didn’t want to star in the video because Reekado would be in it. He said he didn’t want to have anything to do with Reekado.

We tried to sort out the issue between both of them so that we could shoot the video but Daniel refused vehemently; he didn’t want any reconciliation. Because of that, we decided to do another version of the song with Iyanya and Dice Ailes. Kizz Daniel was just being arrogant about the whole thing and behaving like he is a demigod.”

Maintaining that Harrysong’s camp was unaware of the source of the bad blood between Reekado and Kizz, Desmond stated,

“We don’t really know the issue between them but it must be a long-standing feud. He said he didn’t want to be on any song that Reekado was featured on. He refused all our entreaties.”

On whether Kizz Daniel wasn’t aware that Reekado Banks was featured on the song when he recorded his verse, Ike said,

“They recorded their verses separately. The moment he realised that Banks was on the song was when he started saying he didn’t want to be a part of it anymore. We initially thought it was something we could resolve amicably as friends in the industry but Daniel insisted that he didn’t want to be part of it.

He frustrated every move to reconcile them. Kizz Daniel even made the song to be pulled from iTunes, claiming that he did not give his consent for his voice to be used; that was how far he went. We had no choice but to look for a way out.”

Ike said the performance of the song had shown that no one should think too highly of himself or herself.

“Right now, the song is doing very well on the charts. That shows that no one is indispensable. Everybody likes the new version. We have done all we were supposed to do and we have moved on. We cannot beg Daniel because Harrysong is bigger than all that,” he added.

A man identified has Omobola has taken to his Instagram profile to narrate his ordeal in the hands of SARS operatives in Ondo State. According to him, his only offence was joining them at a Fried Yam spot.

Omobola revealed that the officers were at the spot and he also chose to get the delicacy for himself at that time and that was how one of the them asked about his car and before he knew what was happening, he had been driven in their van to another town in the state.

He even alleged that the officers were trying to make him confess to a crime he didn't commit.

A man identified as Funmilade Adeyemi that was earlier declared wanted by the EFCC, has finally been finally by the anti-graft agency.

Funmilade Adeyemi, with the fake name Prof Alexander Moses of Ghana had had so many petitions filed against him at the EFCC office, by the people he defrauded up to the tune of N27 million.

One of the people he scammed took to her Instagram page to notify other victims of his arrest and implored them to go to the EFCC office to submit their petitions against him.

He needs to be restrained from defrauding more unsuspecting members of the public!. He jumped police bail in 2016 and defrauded over 60 people I know (including me) therafter. I visited EFCC at Ikoyi last Thursday, and he was brought to me from custody.

He was wearing an orange shirt and green bathroom slippers with black pant trousers. He told me it is devil's work that has made him dupe over 60 people I know, including my humble self.

Recall I was almost jailed by my client and student in 2017 cos of the middle man role I played innocently between my student and Funmilade. Anywayz... I did a petition on behalf of myself and 7 petitioners present at EFFC that day.

He defrauded us in total of 26,950 million Naira and 5000US Dollars. Note that this is not up to 1/10th of total money fraudulently obtained by Fummilade.

He was just begging us when he was brought forward and said it is devil's work (as usual) Unfortunately, EFCC did not allow us to take phones in based on their rules... Go and make your petition against Funmilade Adeyemi if you have one. Do so quickly!

A bricklayer who was arrested by men of the Niger State Police Command for stealing motorcycles, has confessed that he resorted to stealing because people no longer builder houses in the state.

28 year old Danjuma Idris and his accomplice, 27-year-old Mohammed Kudu, had been terrorising motorcyclists in Kpakungu, Chanchaga Local Government Area of the state.

They were arrested after stealing the motorcycle of one Emeka Johnson who resides in Ketaren Gwari.

When interrogated, Idris said he had to seek another means to survive since no one was calling him for bricklaying jobs anymore.

“Things are hard, l am looking for what to survive on since there are no jobs anywhere. I have been in this business of snatching motorcycles from people for years. The bricklayer job I was doing cannot sustain me, people are no longer building houses as before and things are hard for young men and that was why I resorted to snatching motorcycles from people,.

I wish I had not taken to this. But I will blame my situation on the poor economic state of the country and the state” he said.

Parading them before newsmen, the state police command spokesperson, Muhammad Abubakar, said the suspects would be charged to court once investigations have been completed.
