It is no doubt that as human, we are prone to be carried away and react and even overreact in some unpleasant circumstances but we must be cautious and prolong our reaction in other not to overshot and thereby causing more damaged than expected.

The recent development in #Lekki that led to shooting of protesters by yet to be identified "Soldiers" has generated a reaction that have cost Lagos state and Lagosians more than they bargained for.

The prophet said "he that call people to good, will have the same reward" for every souls unjustly taken due to your wrong information, you shall earn the reward equal to the perpetrators.

Let quickly take a look at the story if Kidir and Prophet Musa as narrated by Allah in the glorious Qur'an. Qur'an 18:66-82

66. Moses said to him, “May I follow you, so that you may teach me some of the guidance you were taught?”

67. He said, “You will not be able to endure with me.

68. And how will you endure what you have no knowledge of?”

69. He said, “You will find me, God willing, patient; and I will not disobey you in any order of yours.”

71. So they set out. Until, when they had boarded the boat, he holed it. He said, “Did you hole it, to drown its passengers? You have done something awful.”

74. Then they set out. Until, when they encountered a boy, he killed him. He said, “Did you kill a pure soul, who killed no one? You have done something terrible.”

76. He said, “If I ask you about anything after this, then do not keep company with me. You have received excuses from me.”

77. So they set out. Until, when they reached the people of a town, they asked them for food, but they refused to offer them hospitality. There they found a wall about to collapse, and he repaired it. He said, “If you wanted, you could have obtained a payment for it.”

78. He said, “This is the parting between you and me. I will tell you the interpretation of what you were unable to endure.

79. As for the boat, it belonged to paupers working at sea. I wanted to damage it because there was a king coming after them seizing every boat by force.

80. As for the boy, his parents were believers, and we feared he would overwhelm them with oppression and disbelief.

81. So we wanted their Lord to replace him with someone better in purity, and closer to mercy.

82. And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphaned boys in the city. Beneath it was a treasure that belonged to them. Their father was a righteous man. Your Lord wanted them to reach their maturity, and then extract their treasure—as a mercy from your Lord. I did not do it of my own accord. This is the interpretation of what you were unable to endure.”

From the above, we can see how Kidir tried to persuade Musa to take calm and watch! But Musa overreacted ad human thereby losing the chance to tag from the knowledge of Kidir.

And we must all be ready to please our parts in feature peace to Lagos and other parts of the country where hoodlums have hijacked the protest to carry out their nefarious acts.

Allah say in Qur'an 8:25
And fear a trial which will not strike those who have wronged among you exclusively, and know that Allah is severe in penalty.

If we refuse to play our part to restore peace, we may end up been consumed in this crisis.

Allah further says in Qur'an 49:6
O you who believe! If some transgressor brings you news (that requires taking action), verify it carefully (before you believe and act upon it), lest you harm a people in ignorance and then become regretful for what you have done.

Don't join in spreading fake news to avoid hatred and calamities that may follow.

The heaven that is being referred to in the Bible is the heaven above us. That account of creation you read in the Bible is about the earth's creation.
God has always been dwelling in heaven which has no beginning. It is the earth that has a beginning and end , not the heaven.

The light that God created are the Sun , moon and stars. All these are for the lighting of the earth and not for the heaven where God dwells.

God created the earth which without the sun will always be in darkness. That was why God had to create the lights for the earth to give it light.

Here we see that the man said that he would resort to lying in order to entice Ahab and God supported the idea and told him to go ahead and do it!

Ezekiel 14:9-11
" 'And if the prophet is enticed to utter a prophecy, I the LORD have enticed that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him and destroy him from among my people Israel. 10 They will bear their guilt-the prophet will be as guilty as the one who consults him. 11 Then the people of Israel will no longer stray from me, nor will they defile themselves anymore with all their sins. They will be my people, and I will be their God, declares the Sovereign LORD.' "
God is punishing him for a crime that He enticed him to do in the first place? Isn't that entrapment?

Isaiah 37:6-7
Isaiah said to them, "Tell your master, 'This is what the LORD says: Do not be afraid of what you have heard-those words with which the underlings of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. Listen! I am going to put a spirit in him so that when he hears a certain report, he will return to his own country, and there I will have him cut down with the sword.'
God had that spirit spread a rumor so that the King of Assyria can to return to his homeland. In short, that spirit's purpose was for deception.

Here we see God deceiving people to the extent that they become absolutely foolish.
Even though I don't believe the Gospels teach that Jesus taught he was God, however this example is for those who believe that Jesus is God. Jesus admits that he was speaking figuratively all this time...

John 16:25
"Though I have been speaking figuratively (paroimia), a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father.
Why wasn't Jesus speaking in a normal and clear way all the time? Why did Jesus then go and say that he won't 'use this kind of language'?

Mark 4:10-12
When he was alone, the Twelve and the others around him asked him about the parables. 11He told them, "The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables 12so that," 'they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!'
So here we see that Jesus was deceiving certain people by speaking in parables so that they won't (and God forbid!) REPENT AND BE FORGIVEN!

Hello everyone. The purpose for this thread is of course not to spark any religious debate of whatever sort, because the level of religious intolerance in this current Nigeria is on another level. This thread however is for education and information.

Over years from my younger years to this point, of all religions that are known to man and have ever had to bring manuscript for study and knowledge gaining, only Christianity, the Bible, to the best of my knowledge, recorded the creation of the world and how man came into existence.

So today, I'll like to know for knowledge sake, from our Muslim folks, how did this world come about as recorded in the quran?

Please i recently made a vow to God to take my tithe to 15% once i'm confirmed and get a pay raise in my place of work.
I have been giving my tithe for the past 7 months to this Pastor who is like my personal pastor but doesn't have a church yet,

There is no doubt that the spirit of islam is anti-Christianity, if the quran is anything to go by. This informs the question of whether or not both religions are from the same God. If Allah is Yahweh, who the Jews and the Christians worship, He would not have condemned the Christians that much. Or how would the God they worship hate them so much?

Till today, muslims are persecuting Christians in ever part of the globe. It is a known fact that Christians are peace loving and they love even those people in other religions. Jesus said "love your enemies". Do these people deserve the kind of treatment muslims met out on them? No.

If Allah who hates the Christians is not Yahweh, who is he? And if he is Yahweh, why would he suddenly hate the Christians, who he used to perform miracles in the Book of Acts of Apostles? At what point in world history did he become the enemies of his people and would order their killings?

Allah could not be the God of the Christians and still would order that they be exterminated by the muslims.

You are right.

Every right thinking person would notice this.
For example , the Christian God gave a commandment that ' no man should divorce his wife except on the ground of adultery or fornication and that no man should marry a divorced woman'.
But the god of Islam commanded Muhammad to marry another man's wife by commanding the husband to divorce his wife and made Muhammad to marry the divorced wife .

This clearly shows that the two religions are not from one source or the same God/ god.

Islam is from Satan , that is the truth.
