You think democratic laws is as expanding and comprehensive as they Islāmic system?
I wouldn't waste my time trying to school you on the benefits of operating an Islamic law knowing you hatred (or perhaps dislike) for it) for it.

I understand the poor understanding you people have of Islām that is why most of you make this bad argument whenever you hear anything Islaam.

And mind you, there is no such thing as Christian law. You people are only trying to imitate muslims to save face that is why you are propounding what does not and will never exist.
Islamic norms which you may be referring to is good. I have no dislike for it.

Any means of controlling human beings which engenders peace and harmony is acceptable by me.

But, your own scholarship ought to have made you know by now that Islamic law is unwritten. At best, it may be used as a customary rules of conduct.

So Islamic law is applicable in this matter, Ooh! angry

Can we suggest Christian approach to a national issues?
The Islamic section in Nairaland here is a nogo area for non muslins, as they like exclusionary approach.

Well Prof. Alaro: The Common Law which is applicable to the fact in issue is recognized, real, nonfictional and civilized. But your so called Sharia Law exists only in you imagination and your revered folklore.
You should not subject CJN Onoghen to the dictates of a folklore.

Christianity EtcRe: The Truth About Spiritual Wife & Husband According To The Bible by eodavids(m): 2:08pm On Jan 27, 2019
unstoppable51:
From #feedmejesus.com

Nothing has made Christianity in Africa look like a serious joke more than the import of foreign beliefs and practices from African Traditional Religion and several other religions, corrupting the simplicity of Life we have in Christ.

Of all these borrowed beliefs and practices, the subject of spiritual wife, spiritual husband and spiritual babies seem to the most prevalent in this region and other places where Christians still struggle to understand basic Bible doctrines.

In Africa, it is not uncommon to find naive believers running from pillar to post in search of “special deliverance” from “wives” or “husbands” they believed to be married to in the realm of the Spirit.

If you had a dream where you are sitting together with kids on a dinning table and a beautiful young lady serves you food, the most common advice you will get when you wake up will be to meet a “very powerful” man of God to be delivered from a spiritual wife and babies.

What if you happen to have sex in the dream, especially with an unknown short black man? You will be subjected to several days of different deliverance sessions to be freed from the strongholds of a very powerful spiritual husband.

It is widely believed dreams like these will result to problems in marriage, business, academics and serious “bad-luck” in life generally if nothing is done about them.

So you find genuine Spirit-filled Christians entering all sorts of places in a bid to get “divorced” from their spiritual wives and husbands.

But what does the Bible truly say concerning the believer in Christ and spiritual marriage?

First, the believer in Christ is possessed of God spirit, soul and body. He is God’s property bought with the precious blood of His Son.

“For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:20

The above verse says both your body and spirit are God’s own since He paid a price for them.

Having purchased you for Himself, He joined you together with Christ via His Spirit.

“But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” 1 Corinthians 6:17

Like an already purchased item would be marked and separated so no one except the owner tampers with it, God also marked your spirit, soul and body “mine” so no other strange spirit husband goes near you.

“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” Ephesians 1:13-14

You are now joined or married to only one man - Jesus. And by that union, He has delivered you forever from the power and reach of darkness.

“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” Ephesians 1:12-13

Peter in his writing also gave witness to this complete deliverance we have in Christ.

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.” 1 Peter 2:9.

So don’t let a mere dream disturb the peace of your heart nor let any man trouble you with dream interpretations that do not have concrete footing in the scripture.

The believer in Christ does not, cannot and will never ever have any other spiritual husband apart from Christ. This is what the Bible teaches.

Do not take whatever any demon might have said at various “deliverance” prayer sessions as a basis to believe in spirit husbands or spirit wives. According to Jesus, the Devil is a liar and the father of it. He is an expert at presenting lies as truth. Only the Word holds the truth and we should stick to it.

What do you do if you happen to dream of such things today?

It’s quite simple. You praise the name of the Lord, hand over the dream to God and go about your daily life like nothing happened.

If the Lord drops an interpretation in your heart (not contrary to the scriptures like the idea of Spirit spouse and kids) you pray and run with it. If you do not receive any special interpretation about it, you still trust His Word. Either way, be at complete rest, your Saviour got your back.

Most times, dreams like the two above are just our bodies and mind working together to bring the need for intimacy to attention.

Let no dream of any kind terrify or take away your joy!

So where and how was this order granted? Was it written outside the sitting hours of the court, and without the lawyers of both parties been aware of it? This is even a gravious matter on it own.

No wonder not a single lawyer, even those close to this Govt( except for Sagah to some extent) has supported this.

This is apart from the fact that CCT doesn't even have such powers to remove a serving justice.

At the inception of the Buhari presidency, the news was agog that our own Femi Falana (SAN) had been nominated for the office of the Federal Minister of Justice and of course, the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF)

Well meaning Nigerians were optimistic and happy, because of the standing of Falana. His reputation and his experience.
For most people, we concluded that with Falana acting as the chief legal adviser and prosecutor of the FRN, there will not be cases of human right infringement/violations.

All of this were dashed away as soon as Buhari inaugurated his cabinet as Falana was not picked.

Fast forward to today, we cannot easily sum up the many blunders and disservice Abubakar Malami (SAN) has made.

All the blunders and unconstitutional happenings under president Buhari can be attributed to Malami's incompetence. He adviced the President wrongly, or else he'd have resigned.

Cry me a waterfall saraki. Mr President has been handed the right to suspend the CJN by the CJN himself when he admitted in writing that he "forgot " to declare his assets which is against the law.

He thus cannot be a judge in his own case.

Blame the CJN and not Buhari.

Plus the constitution of Nigeria as you rightfully observed is silent regarding suspension but clear when it comes to removal. Thus it places no limitations on Mr President when it comes to suspending the CJN. It only does so when it comes to removal.

Case opened:

You may need a lesson on the principles of separation of powers.
Do not forget that separation of powers is what underlies democracy.

As we claim to be practicing Democracy, we must abide by the principles of separation of powers which is to the effect that the Legislature, the Executive and the Judiciary are the Three (3) Arms of of Government who acts as checks and balances one over another and democracy cannot be said to be in effect except where each of this 3 arms are operating independent of the other....

Note: There is a Head of the Legislature; Head of the Executive and Head of the Judiciary.
To remove a head of each arm requires recommendations and approval from the other arm(s).

EXCEPT YOU ARE WELL TAUGHT ON THE PRINCIPLES OF SEPARATION OF POWERS, YOU WILL BE RANTING MEANINGLESS WORDS HERE AND THERE.

Ebullience:
Until Saturday, January 11, 2019, not many Nigerians would have heard of the name Anti-Corruption And Research-Based Data Initiative (ARDI).

It was on that day that the news broke of the petition filed by the civil rights group against the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN),Justice Walter Onnoghen, at the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) alleging that he owns ” sundry accounts primarily funded through cash deposits made by himself up to as recently as 10th August 2016, which appear to have been run in a manner inconsistent with financial transparency and the code of conduct for public officials.”

It said Onnoghen did not declare the accounts as required by law.

That petition is now threatening to consume Onnoghen, who was sent on suspension yesterday by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The ARDI petition, dated January 7, 2019, was received two days later by the CCB, according to online publication, TheCable, which broke the news.

Things moved in quick succession with the Federal Government filing a six-count charge against him for alleged failure to declare some of his assets, including about $3million.

The $3million is said to be lodged in five accounts.

The domiciliary and Naira accounts in the Standard Chartered Bank are coded as USD account No. 870001062650; Euro account No. 93001062686; Pound Sterling A/CNo. 285001062679; e-Saver Savings (Naira) account No. 5001062693; and a Naira A/C No. 010001062667.

The charge sheet is dated January 10 and was filed on January 11.

A CCB investigator, Mr. James Akpala, said in an affidavit in support of the charges against Onnoghen, that the filing of the case stemmed from a petition against the CJN.

Akpala was silent on the name of the petitioners.

He merely said: “I know as a fact that the Head Office of the Bureau received a petition alleging that the CJN failed to declare his assets according to the law.”

ARDI describes itself as “a whistleblower and an Anti-Corruption Awareness disseminator, whose effort is to strengthen our democracy and ensure transparent, accountable and responsive governance devoid of corruption for our society.”

The civil society group said its petition was necessitated by “the imminence of the 2019 General Elections and the overwhelming roles of the Judicial Arm both before and after.”

It claimed that Onnoghen owns “sundry accounts primarily funded through cash deposits made by himself up to as recently as 10th August 2016, which appear to have been run in a manner inconsistent with financial transparency and the code of conduct for public officials.”

It alleged that Onnoghen made five cash deposits of $10,000 each on March 8, 2011 into Standard Chartered Bank Account 1062650; two separate cash deposits of $5000 each and four deposits of $10,000 each on June 7, 2011.

Five similar cash deposits of $10,000 followed on June 27, 2011, and another four deposits of $10,000 each the following day.

Onnoghen, according to the petition, failed to declare his assets immediately after taking office, contrary to section 15 (1) of Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act; and that he did not comply with the constitutional requirement for public servants to declare their assets every four years during their career.

It added that the CJN appeared “to have suppressed or otherwise concealed the existence of these multiple domiciliary accounts owned by him, as well as the substantial cash balances in them.”

It said the CJN’s financial transactions appeared suspicious and not justifiable by his lawful remuneration at all material times.

Detectives investigating the finances of the suspended CJN last weekend turned their attention to his salary account.

Sources said they may have unearthed evidence that the salary account laid untouched in the bank for 18 months at a stretch.
