christejames:If you could speak like her, you wont be proud of it. It is not about what you wrote...but speaking clearly. People who cannot speak well always say this. You will ne frustrated if you travel out of Nigeria and you don't speak clearly. Just stay in Nigeria with your whatever accent. Not saying you form rubbish...but learning to speak clearly is not bad. Accent reduction is not bad...it is actually very good. Speak so that natice speakers can hear you well ...not that they will develop headache trying to understand your words. Good luck! |
Sultty:Because you cannot different btw both. Na waooo! Very clear...you just want to not accept it cos of your own inferiority complex. Thats British. Some of us can identify it because we have lived with them. Lol. Na waooo! |
casualobserver:You are not making sense. I can see that you are home-based all through. It is not about "forming", but pronouncing your words. You can't understand it because the person pronouncing wrongly doesn't even know. That lady might be born in the UK, or she went for accent reduction classes...and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. You are just hiding under the nonsense you put up here because of your inferiority complex. Many hurdles to cross... sounds and tone...where to stress...silent letters also. Music and entertainment is different from speaking English. Do not mix it up. Back to speaking clearly....there are sounds each tribe cannot pronounce well that we need to try to get rid of. You want to speak English...speak it. Hausa cannot pronounce F clearly...they substitute it with v. This is why Buhari says Viver when he wants to say Fever. Almost all Nigerians cannot pronounce "th"...thats why even ex-Pre Jonathan says "tank", instead of "thank". Most Yoruba people cannot pronounce "h" very well... it's why they say "ouse" instead of "house". You cannot speak like this and say you speak clearly. Good luck! |
ismhab:Na wa oooo! Just making comments without making much sense. Actually, that's British Accent...not American. Mehn! Na waooo! |
Seun:I can be your friend again just for this. This is nice. God bless you bro. |
79733139:How do you know that it is very easy for his developers to remove it? Keep making baseless assumptions. Oga, I don't know exactly the reason, but I know that regulations in the US require some of these platforms to include the block button. So, perhaps the application for removal is not yet complete. I don't know and you don't know. I don't want to make any assumptions, but most app owners say the same thing...blocking is bad for the business...and there are other ways they want to explore. The question is that...have they been able to prove beyond reasonable doubt that some of the other options are better? Again, you have refused to read the proposal I gave. You only want to push your own. This is the part I hate about uninformed Nigerians. By the way, are you a developer to say with an affirmative tone that it is easy for his developers or not? Na waoooo! You need to be able to block people like me because you don't agree with me. Yet, I haven't in any way insulted you. Seun...follow the conversation btw this guy and myself and see that he is all about his own will. Seun, I don't agree with all your tactics, but I am a businessman who considers owners cos I know how it feels. Listen, bro, if you listen to these people and just do what they want, you may regret it. Test everything you want to implement very well on a smaller group in the whole population of NL and see if it works. Do not bow to pressure from people who only want their will. Most of these people will promote their agenda and there won't be any balance and check. Yes, social media is for reading pros and cons....advantages and disadvantages. This particular guy will only want his inner "will" done. It is not healthy. Someone like me should not be deprived of the right to challenge him. What we don't want is ethical and religious intolerance. Yes...we can even share our opinions about our religion. I should be able to tell Muslims that killing for their gods is rubbish (not that their god is rubbish...but killing humans for its sake is rubbish). It is my right. They have to defend their stand logically and not with violence also. And Christians should be challenged too that their pastors are thieves if therr are evidences they are. And if they want to promote killing people or violence, the social media should be able to track them down and make goverment arrest such peoppe. Of course, only a demon will promote killing another fellow because of his god. Therefore, beware of what you use. Nigeria is a delicate region. Someone like this should not be allowed to have his way. Nope. He needs to be continuously checked because he will want to use social media to promote his dangerous will. His will must be checked well before being accepted. Anyone who does not want anyone to check his will is dangerous to society. |
79733139:How do you know he will lose millions of users? Cos you think so? What are your parameters for saying that? Oh...Twitter cannot be monetized cos the way it was built...if Elon tries it...it will collapse. Has it collapsed after monetizing it? Oh...he is a slave to advertisers, he must worship them.... The last time he said no to them and cut them off...has he gone out of business finally? Dey play. Show me that removing the block button has made any social media platform crash. Which one? because it means that someone can keep throwing insults at you, while you keep waiting for a moderator to intervene.Go back and read my post and I gave another option..That should be looked into also...did you consider the option I have given there? Or you don't even bother to read it but just cos you think blocking is the solution? Give other people's opinions a chance too. It is not what you think will work that always work. Most Nigerians don't even know about topics they engage in arguments....they hear many saying something will work...and they automatically start promoting it without knowing themselves if such will work. Blocking hinders social media businesses and most platforms are looking for a way to avoid it without violating rules. Though some regulatory bodies mandate it, it is not the only way out. Personally, if I were the owner, it would be the last option I would use after trying others. Did you even read my previous post? I guess you don't still understand what I wrote there...cos if you do....you won't return with this. Good luck! |
charzyh2:Headmaster ![]() |
79733139:Blocking has the tendency to be not favorable for business. Even Elon Musk is trying to remove it from Twitter. Seun:There are other ways to do it without blocking. If you put a block button, it will affect your business. Depending on how you want to do it, an option is that you allow users to rank posts. You will do less work on home page hijackers too...and naturally, intelligent posts will be upgraded to the front page. Then, you configure the algorithm so that when a user has posts downgraded, you limit such an account. Users can downgrade trolls and abusers too. See...I abuse people who insult me first here also. But if you have such...I don't need to retaliate, I will just press the button to move down the post. I will share it also so that all my followers can descend on such a post. By the time the person gets such treatment, things will be ok. This method has its downside too cos haters will deliberately injure many accounts. So, you may need to create a section for appeal for anyone whose account has been destroyed so that a mod can investigate it. Your success is all about who you employ and how they respond. Shikena. I have had an encounter with you and your mods. I know some of them who I would sack if I were you. Also, mods should be paid very well...and that is why you should create a means to generate more income to pay them well. Not saying there should not be volunteers, but you will need mods that are paid well sir. As in good pay. Not just mods...but backend workers too. I have changed my account like 6 times....we used to be friends sef...but see...the love I have for Nigeria is why I am doing this. At a stage, I wanted to see if I could start something, but I didn't have the time. My focus is on something else. Good luck sir |
U1:I have elaborated further in a subsequent post. Well, you are right in a sense, but the world is tending to using the cognitive part of our brain. Robots will take over the jobs that don't require mental ability. If it is a repetitive task, robots will take over. I gave the example of tailors. The business is making clothes. Those driving sewing machines with either their legs or hands will be out of business soon while those who make patterns will be the ones in business. How many of our tailors can cut out good patterns? Those who know it are lazy to make their patterns accurate..you see them use short cuts and there is always inefficiency in their patterns. When they join them, they fold the edges of the clothes to match each other....lol...thats why you see that the edges of their clothes are wrinkled...but when you buy a good package shirt...edges are smooth because the patterns fit one another accurately. You will need deep thinking ability to make patterns (that deep thinking ability is what will be needed), and then you will use tech to draw it out (an app). Pattern making is technical drawing. How many of them can do it? Lol. The carpenter who is still learning how to use a hammer to drive in nails will run out of business soon. Those making money will be the ones who use tech. So, in a way you are right...but I want to emphasize the fact that...the kind of skills people learn in Nigeria today will be useless soon. Even if you will use an app or whatever, it will be based on your ability to think deeply. But these presently...repetitive tasks are what they are still learning. Hope this helps. |
Notfogotten:If the man is ready to learn how to make wealth, no wahala. He will leverage the financial stability of his wife and make his wealth. But if he is lazy and wants his wife to keep carrying the major burden, he will have challenges. The other factor is that if the wife's wealth is from her parents and the parents don't like the guy...then, the guy needs to be sure that he is on the same page with the girl. The issue here is that the man should tap into what works. If he fails, he will have challenges. This is just the truth. And it is the same vice versa in advanced countries. It is only in Africa ladies think men should do it all...and it is why they are used and disrespected. A woman (not a gold digger) abroad does not care about the man's wealth because she can do it too. But here...most girls see the man as the burden carrier. They will even justify it with the fact that they carry a pregnancy and do house chores. Na person wey no get money dey do house chores na. Lol |
Zaheertyler:Those who boasted in the past .... na poverty humble them Wetin be mine? I don't crush people cos I am not a crusher... when you become useless...you will know. Even Mechanics won't chop again....mark my words. Go ask who dey chop now? Those using diagnostic tech to know what the problem is. Then, the manual mechanic will fix it. But those manual mechanics will run out of business soon cos robots will take over soon. "Siddon" there. Go to Canada...plumbers, carpenters, etc are all learning how to use modern equipment to do their job. Siddon there...go still dey carry chisel and nail removers.... Na poverty go crush you. ![]() [quote author=millionboi2 post=127739365] You are the nonsense. you can't be everywhere thesame time, you need the services of others tooNo matter the service, tech must be involved. I am not addressing you cos poverty will kill you with your attitude....but for the sake of others...and if you are wise...you should listen. Everyone should find out the latest tech used for the service he is interested in and go learn it. Carpenters- don't learn where they use a hand saw and hammer. Find where they use computers to design, and then use modern cutters. Also, the days of using nails to hold joints are getting finally over...go learn how to use hand drills with screws...and even...modern stuff better. Plumber: innovative tech is changing the plumbing system so that you can get a job in modern construction sites. Tailoring: this one..I pity most people there...the people who will be making the money in 10 years are the pattern makers. Sewing machines will soon be automated. Those driving sewing machines with their legs and hands will be out of the job in a max of 10 years. The only people who will be making money are the pattern makers. This will be strictly technical drawing business. And so on. |
quadraheem:Femi Gbaja even touched low-cost LSDPC housing estates in Iponri side. When I drove past the area, I was shocked. These are apartments that belong to individuals....Femi renovated everything for them. Wow. Anything in Surulere that belongs to the government or individuals tapped into....Femi retouched it again. Even the medium housing estate in Lawanson. Some individual houses that aren't govt built are touched too. He pumped money into the areas. This is to tell us that all the lawmakers and senators have enough money but they embezzle everything. The one that shocked everyone was Desmond Shola Elliot. Mehn! Shola messed up big time. He will regret going there to chop cos he turned his back on the people who had loved him during his day in the movie industry. Shola messed up..big time. |
Zaheertyler:Lol. Not everyone will learn tech....sit down there. Tech is taking over everything...yes...you may not go into the core areas, but anything you learn now, tech must be involved....else...you will serve those who learned it. Shikena. If you like ....keep arguing...those who argued in the past and kept selling newspapers regretted it. Go ask Kodak how they lost out of the digital photography business...and do you think people buy manual gear system cars or SUVs again? Only those danfo (commercial) boys...and in the next 10 years max...they will all run out of business. So, they have to pick up modern vehicles and use tech. Ride-sharing will crush everything in 10 years. Mark my words. So, stay there.... don't move with the trend. You either grow with disruptive innovations by being an early adopter or go in somehow when many are (the stage we are in now cos early adopters are now leaders). If you don't, you will be crushed. |
Jorussia:Those who fought, where are they today? You people always talk like you own Nigeria. He has shown that he is not a kid to be pushed aside. And I read the deal...it is not bad. He used Wike to rise to become a governor and there is an agreement on the table. Wike may be a useless man like most politicians...Sim is also a double useless fella. However, when it comes to power tussle, he has got the president's attention. If I was him, I would lay low also. Just wait and see how that man will rise. Wike cannot just talk to him anyhow again. Not possible. Tell me one person who went against these powerful politicians and won. Just one person. Even the president himself swallowed many nauseating stuff...even bowed to Orji's mom ....but today...let Orji go to the villa and not almost knee for him...they will bundle her out. Even Buhari...let him say nonsense and see what will happen to him. Oga, the road to becoming a top politician is humbling. Only someone like Jonathan can clomb easily...those who are really humble. This guy called Sim is also very humble. If it was another governor, mehn! I like him. He knows what he is doing. And more, you don't pray to have Wike as an enemy. Who has survived Wike? Go check. You guys just talk. Where is Amaechi today? Ameachi was his ex-boss ooo. Where is Atiku today? To fight Atiku na beans? Someone who destroyed Atiku is who you want to make an enemy. Lol. As it is today....Bola Tinubu, Gandollar, Wike, and Atiku are the top politicians we have. ElRufai has seen that he is out...but he is trying to restrategize. He did not get that those after him wanted to kill his political career cos the next post for him was to become the president. He didn't get it...otherwise, he would have fought to be the power minister when they were embarrassing him cos he has the president's backing. But he was too proud....lol. I trust Tinubu....that man respects himself...and it is why Buhari himself cannot say anything bad about him. Even when his appointed son went against him, he said nothing cos he knew he didn't have the power to do much. But as soon as he is in charge, do you see him as someone who isn't in charge like Buhari? Not saying he is doing fine cos I don't like him that much...but he is certainly in control of his government. Do you want him to go against the power that can force a "state of emergency" on him? You people hailed him when he destroyed the House of Assembly and that was what killed him....cos the president can invoke a "state of emergency". The president has called the attorney general to give him angles to use and invoke it. A state where over 90% of lawmakers are rendered homeless because the governor destroyed their home? Wike would just tell them to bring real violence. Sim started it....by the time they start burning and pulling down structures here and there...Sim is out. Tinubu will impose a state of emergency and appoint Wike's new anointed person as the governor and then rule for like 1 to 2 years before another election is conducted. You need to think ahead .... don't just talk. Learn to stay humble. |
Doing the bidding and wish of ex governors is what this man is promoting. Lol. Werey plenty among our politicians. |
Victor Osimhen |
gaskiyamagana:Like I told you... Plateau is my concern. Your religion is a blood sucking one. Israelis are Jews and I am not a Jew. Get that into your head. I am concerned about my country. Your religion is messed up. Totally messed up. If you think that you will kill Christians here cos Israel is bombing your people...thats on you. If you go to Twitter, Nigerian Christian youths were the first to criticize Pastor Adeboye. One day, Nigeria will split. Make una dey go your way. You are mostly demonic |
Not compulsory you all stay in Lagos. I wish Lagos can destroy all "join join" shops there so that only shops in main buildings remain. There will be fresh air flow and peace. Go back to where you all came from. That's the message. Excellent!!! |
gaskiyamagana:I don't get involved with battles that aren't mine; therefore, I won't discuss Israel and Palestine. But let me educate you....I am a Christian and Jews aren't. Also, I am aware of how you all jubilated when Palestinians attacked first from the sky, sea, land, and everywhere. Lol. "Werin" concern me? Na me send Palestine to go attack people they know they can't fight?lol.... ....So, keep your diversion to yourself..e no go work. I am here to talk about Nigeria...this Plateau killings. Your religion is messed up. Period. If I had to kill for a useless god, then, it is finished. Back to the battles that concern me....Islam in the north is messed up. Period. There isn't other way to say it. You all are messe.d up in that religion. Blood sucking demons. |
Terrorism is embedded in religion. A fact I denied many times in the past cos I believed things could change. Also, Christians and Muslims cannot cohabitate. It is not possible. At this stage, I agree that Islam is a blood-sucking religion. Simple. Anyone who thinks I am too harsh or against his bloody sucking religion should kiss my as.s. Na dem only? I haven't heard of Christians killing Muslims in Nigeria....but just insult their Mohammed and they will kill. But they insult Jesus anyhow. Even ElRufai insulted Jonathan and his religion. But insult ElRufai's religion and see how bloo.d will flow. Ma.d people. |
The problem with Nigeria is embedded in tribalism. This is the single reason we have not been able to beat corruption. The irony part is that absolutely no one is seeing it. Nigeria cannot get better. It is not possible. However, the people presently living in Nigeria can have a quality life ONLY if they separate. This is the way out, but almost everyone won't agree with my view. They are gonna toss it away. Funny...they want to invest in culture so much. They claim we don't have to lose our language, culture, and even religion is part of the culture now. Lol. But take a look at religion and culture...these are the main problems. The leaders of these two notorious ways of life are the godfathers of politicians. Use your head. Remove these two demons, and we will have good leaders. But it is not possible as long as Nigeria exists. |

A fooli.sh and inexperienced man he is. This is why I guess early marriage is dangerous in this world we are in today. The way around this was to talk it out. The girl would feel bad about it...and they would reach an agreement. He supposed to thank God for delivering him from a lesbian. His prayers cannot be answered while sleeping with a lesbian. The kids should be his priority. He needs to go and learn how to control his emotion first. When you realise that it is hard to find a good partner these days, you won't rush into marriage. Anyway, it is not late....he needs to swallow his pride and turn things around for his good. A godly woman will come his way, but he needs to settle this sh.it first. |
Naijaagenda:A very funny post. You even know the medical name for nail biting. ![]() Anyway...congrats bro! Relocate to a cold nation...you wont bite your nails again. Period! Just funny how we stress ourselves on insignificant issues. Lol. |
Love800:Hmmmmm! I don't know, but look at prof. Wole Soyinka very well. He dived into African related stuff because that was the angle he could sell well. Can you beat a British, American or Irish when it comes to their language? I doubt it. Naturally, investors will turn to them. But I think if you look into African culture and can blend it into your area, it is the way to go. Go online and research what areas Yoruba teachers who are presently awarded special visas to the US are doing there. I think Hausa is demanded too in the US, but not sure about Igbo. It is not by sentiment, go for what these people need. I have given you clues. You may need to go outside what you like or what you think is good, but do what they want now. Then, look at those universities presently employing yoruba teachers. You can see if there are scholarships you can apply for. Or research stuff you can do. If you cannot get, you may just find any legal means to get to the US, Canada, UK or Australia...and then get your shi.t started there. We are over 300 millions in Naija...so, the bar is so high now. Crush all hindrances by any means. Just do it! ------ As regards what I wrote earlier...can you get scholarship in Nigeria? Yes or No. Go back and read the post again...you will get my point. |
Love800:Ok. Some guys there who are researchers annoyed me...so I felt you are one of them...but at the same time, you can get more clues from my previous posts. Anyway, going into academics is a very good decision. The idea is that your salary is the smallest fraction of your income. Trust me...it is. If you know what you are doing, your brain can put money into your pocket till the last second you pass to eternity. Private businessmen are the ones you are there to serve and not the government. If you get govt's contract...good...but you don't aim for that. Govt will employ you when private businesses give good recommendations about you. Think of it...politicians always roll with businessmen. That's how it works. Look at your field very well, and get the most recent trend there. Who are the big players in your field? What are they into? Check out recent research the there. From there, you start mapping out a way for you to get done what they need. Remember, it is what they need and not what you think is smart or think they need. Nope. Find out what they need. Find out the problems they encounter seriously and solve them. If you can get an evergreen area, that is a joker. That's a big win. An evergreen area is always relevant, so you keep making money back to back for many years for anything you patent and they use. But these lecturers here...they just want govt to keep paying them more for teaching old things. How many of them give scholarship to their students? Lol. Most of the scholarships Nigerians and other nationalities get to study abroad are from the lecturers. It is sort of the reward for the students to come on board and assist them with the research they are doing. That free tuition and other fees are from the money awarded to the lecturer. Scholarships just dont fall from heaven. And if you check, the bulk of these funds are from the private sector. Our lecturers are idiots doing nothing. No private organisation is patronizing them cos they are mostly worthless. So the only option they have is to keep blackmailing govt to increase their salaries. If you want to go into academics, leave Nigeria. It is not worth it. Those lecturers are stumbling blocks. |
Vinnie2000:Thank goodness you are not God. |
