DamnnNiggarr:
How sure are you that it's not the lady in question was the master-brain behind the marriage i.e forcing herself on him out of love??

why did i say that??
a woman in her calibre will not get attracted to you because of what you can get/do for her(materialism or opportunism) but because of love and how you plays your game, how you carry/comport/conducts yourself, how you treats her, how principled you are(little wonder ladies get along well with those we termed bad boys than the so called good guys or gentle guys)
to such lady, everything is not about money but love which the guy may've understood very well.
but though she's every man's prayer, the lady should find another oil company from the numerous oil companies that littered rivers state.

N*B she should ensure that its ready(p.h oil job) before quitting her present job.
You're already adding hypotheses that were never part of the story. Lol. Please, let's stick to what was shared in the story. Anyone that attains a career worth more 40m per year is definitely smart so I trust the woman to take the best decision for herself. With her money and position, it'll be much easier for her to fix her husband to another job if he moves than it'll be for her husband to fix her. In fact, every pointer shows it'll be foolish of her to move and I'm sure if she's our sister who sends us money, pays our school fees and buys us video games, we wouldn't ask her to leave her job. Till now, I've not read any good reason for her to move other than just the fact that the other partner has a male se.x organ. And like I said, it's unfair.

peace @bolded!
a man that earns a million+ on a monthly basis is capable of taking his family to level in life.

So the man knows exactly the missile(heartattack) he is trying to dudge.
Then he should go look for a woman below his financial status instead of pulling a successful woman down cause of his own insecurities

...and for a banker to be earning 1.25million monthly, he must've been playing along the road.

do you really know what it means to earn 1.25m monthly as a banker??
it means that he mayhave risen to the post of either principal manage, an auditor, an area/reginal manager, a director etc and have laboured so hard for the bank and no longer a junior/contract staff or a cashier that earns 85k.

and you expect him to throw it away because he got married.
abeg swerve.
Calm down, it's just a chat, we are not fighting.

I never suggested the man didn't work hard. I only said it's baseless and unfair to ask the lady to quit. Both of them have worked hard but one person's hardwork pays more so on what grounds should the person be the one to leave her job? No one's career matters more than the other but given the huge difference in their revenue, if one person must move, it should be the man. Otherwise, they should find a way to have a distance marriage.

Saying the woman should without any logical reason is just sexism.

Damn Niggarr!

The hubby must be a real Niggarr,

But as for me, the woman should quit and relocate to p. H for peace to reign.

15m/12 = 1.25m
That's manageable
The wife should quit.
Why do we allow emotions to becloud our sense of judgement ? Do you know how much of her life she must have dedicated to her career to attain that level? She should throw all that away because of a man's ego?

Honestly, any man that insists the fiancee should relocate is wicked and provocatively sexist.

As you can see, even the Europeans are now trying to play catch up by trying artemesin based solutions for the virus. They are now saying it could make people resistant to malaria....it definitely smells fishy and it seems they secretly know that the herbal drug is a cure...
But if they steal the idea, it would be as a result of our own foolishness. An educated mind mind knows that a due process would gain us patent rights but we are allowing emotions to control our actions in a world were pen has proven to be more powerful than guns. Artemisen didn't originate from Africa. It came from Asia and it has always worked against malaria from day one. And like you said, it could be a cure against the virus. But we won't make any headway if we keep approaching things in a crude way. Other countries subject their findings to scientific research/principles and report progress from time to time. Canada, UK, US all have companies that are in the clinical trial stage. These guys can easily present thier research papers for each stage. Scientific research process is the same everywhere. But we're already shipping out our drink around. We shouldn't complain when our ideas are stolen

Your submission is noble, however it shows you have faith in WHO.... I don't!!!.. Why the propaganda against Madagascar since they said they have an herbal treatment... Every country should be free to decide how to take care of their country men... If this herbal drug was produced by Russia, China or US.. Will it be so maligned?.. However it is not entirely their fault.. Na we cause am... We import everything and develop nothing
What's now the point in being a WHO member state if you do not want to follow the WHO process? Madagascar is not the only country working on a possible vaccine, other countries, including the ones you mentioned are following the basic process. Some of them like Canada, US, UK, etc are already in the clinical trial stage. Meanwhile, Madagascar is already shipping what they believe would work. Now, they're leaving the WHO umbrella cause of it. If we keep behaving like an angry last born all the time, they'll keep patting us on the back like babies.

The agbo that ìyá Bisi sells.. Hope you know that WHO did not approve it.. And it works!!!.. Sometimes due process is not due
A fair point. However, this agbo you're talking about predates all of us including WHO. And logically, when they were concocted, a lot of trials and error must have gone into it and human lives sacrificed for us to enjoy the efficacy we have today. The Madagascar drug is untested for Corona treatment and we don't have to continue that crude approach of trial and error with human lives when there are better and more refined scientific ways of testing its potency beyond doubts. We need to advance alongside the rest of the world with our own products. That's the only we will be taken seriously.

Abeg no get side effect so no harm in trying and hyper trying.

No overdose.
I don't think so. Science is not about sentimentality but empirical evidence. You can't push a cure to the world based on "no harm in trying". This only make mockery of Africa and fighting for it based on emotional grounds is even more reason why the world won't take seriously in future. This could be the cure but let's advocate for due process.

Application of Artificial intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning to Laboratory/Field Data

I am a self-taught programmer with sufficient practical skills in high-level programming languages. Over the years, I have seen how AI is being used in various industries and I learnt this to inculcate in my laboratory research data and field results; this is awesome and has been very helpful.

In my lab, I have fed data from tourism sectors, waste management, pollution control, biomedical research and disease detection into ANN to discover intricate relationships or recognize complex patterns.

In particular, I have applied AI modelling to:

1. Predict Waste Generation Rates of Hospitality Industry (paper published in the Journal of Sustainability).

Here: For the first time, this study shows that municipal waste from hospitality facilities can be forecasted by considering measurable and effective parameters via an artificial neural (AI) network-inspired forecasting model. The field results showed that 4159.9 kg (recyclable: 58.5%, general waste:
23.6% and food residue: 17.9%) and 2063.4 kg (recyclable: 33.6%, general waste: 18.5% and food residue: 47.9%) of waste were generated during the peak and lean season from the 22 hospitality facilities investigated, respectively. While the ANN predicted that small and large hotels would produce 5.45 and 22.24 tons of waste by the year 2020, respectively.

2. To understand complex relationships in portable energy-storage devices fabricated in our lab (paper recently published in Journal of Electronic Materials)

Here: excessive strain on fossil fuel resources have ignited the global energy crisis; to curtail this menace, researchers have directed concerted efforts on energy storage devices. In this research, we used chicken bones to build portable energy storage supercapacitor and applied ANN to understand the complexities, thus shortened our experimental work by 69% and we are able to understand what parameter improves the energy storage ability of the supercapacitor.

Artificial neural networks (ANN) are one of the main tools used in machine learning. ANN is brain-inspired systems inter-connected layers which are intended to replicate the way humans learn. ANN is an excellent tool for discovering patterns which are far too complex or numerous for a human programmer to extract and teach the machine to recognize.

Below are some of my works where ANN have been used.

Diagnosis of breast cancer by AI: Here, AI was applied to assess whether a lump in a breast could be malignant (cancerous) or benign (non-cancerous) from digitized images aspiration biopsy.

Interested to study in TRNC? don't hesitate to contact me.

To be continued! grin grin
Why are you still using sigmoid ø as your activation function for your hidden layers? Isn't this outdated?

Sometimes eh, the exaggerated "facts" that are given to these archaeological findings, makes science look like Superstitions!

Awon 110million years!

How a dating-analysis system of less than 200 years old is able to make a hundred million years prediction begs a lot of question! AI learns from data, how many data did they get from earth at 100+ million years ago to teach these machines accurately
Not really. AI (multi-layered/deep neural networks specifically) does not need data of about 100 million years ago to be able to backdate fossils to that period. If it does, then it's has a defect called "overfitting" and that practically makes the system useless because the entire aim is to use limited data for a known period to train the model, adjust weights withing the hidden layers and reduce errors to the minimum for outputs. This output can extensively span across both known and unknown results (in this case, periods).

I am not an archaeologist so I cannot talk about fossils even though I believe this fossils are evidence enough. But as a major in computing, I just wanted to clarify the above.

HealthRe: Breaking: Ncdc Replies Dokpesi On Difference Between Covid-19 & Malaria by etrange: 4:57pm On May 18, 2020
This shouldn't be rocket science. There's no vaccine for Covid-19, the doctors only try to treat the symptoms and because a lot of diseases share some common symptoms, similar treatments might be administered. This is done while your body fights the virus on its own. This also answers the questions of those always asking why the medics and ex carriers are not publicizing the treatment. People's symptoms differ so what treatment do you want exactly?

how can you banned aircraft from landing only to abandoned his citizens airlines companies for humanitarian services and adopt foreign owned airline? Mr professor you just show the level of your low mentality
You've made zero sense. Zero.

Are you even reading what you are typing? Which airline where you expecting UK to use for their outflow humanitarian activities? Nigerian airlines? Are you dumb or you're just trolling?

Ok, let me help you: The UK has been offering humanitarian assistance to many countries using their airlines even before the pandemic. The UK is offering humanitarian assistance to Nigeria and when this assistance is in the form of physical items or personnel, it's the norm that they arrive in thier flight. Even after the flight ban, Chinese doctors and supplies landed in Italy last month in a Chinese airline chartered by the Chinese Red Cross, is Italy also a 4th world country? The same was the case in Spain, Iraq and Iran. Is Spain a 3rd world country too? Except there was a prior request from the recipient, the giver of humanitarian aid arrives in thier airline cause transportation is part of the aid. The recipient does not dictate the airline.

I know you'd still quote me to cover up your dumb as.s but I'm certain you've learned one or two things.

as far as I'm concern I haven't feel, seen and read a dumb, callous and foolish regime as this Quota system regime in the history of Nigeria before

this country keep retrogressing day by day because we have blind people holding blind people to cross the road. so pathetic
You are making a fool of yourself. Criticising a government does not mean you have to be dumb. You are only embarrassing good critics. A UK company committed a crime and note even a word from you against the company. Instead, you wrote an epistle to attack Nigeria. What do you know about humanitarian projects and how other countries conduct them? How many of such projects have you led and how many of those other countries have you lived in? Where do recipients of humanitarian aid dictate the flight to be used?

RomanceRe: Advice Needed. by etrange: 10:50pm On May 16, 2020
Samicine, you can do a different course but they are caveats. If the course is related to your first degree (e.g. BSc. in Mathematics and MSc. in Computer Science) you can go on to the MSc. straight away. If it's not related (e.g. BSc. in Psychology or Dental Technology and MSc. in Computer Science), then you'll be required to do a year PGD program first in the target course. Again, if the Master's degree you're seeking is a professional Master's (as against academic Master's), then your first degree wouldn't matter at all.

Examples of professional Master's: MBA, MIT, MPA, etc.
Examples of academic Master's: MSc., M.A., M.Eng., etc.

Based in your last thread, I think you should cope if possible and leave when you're done with school (NYSC stipends can help). Moving now will put a lot of financial pressure on you and I'm afraid it'll affect your studies.

Wishing you the best!

Cyberknight:
I think you're referring to "modal" use of the verb, even though strictly speaking the sentence you gave is neither correct nor an indicative use of a verb to show modality. The "a" shouldn't be there.

There are only two auxiliary verbs in French, etre and avoir.
Ok, guys, let's look into this since that's reason for sharing.

Like Sir Cyberknight rightly said, we have only two auxiliary verbs in French: 'être' and 'avoir'. Therefore, 'aimer' is not and cannot act as an auxiliary verb. Again, the verb 'aimer' is not followed by the preposition 'à' in this context.

I'd also like to clarify that 'aimer' is also not a model verb as we have three main modal verbs in French: 'pouvoir', 'devoir' and 'vouloir' (unlike in English, modal verbs are not needed to construct the future tense).

Having said these, I believe what Yinkaexpress wanted to say was "semi-auxiliary" and that would be correct (of course, with the exclusion of the preposition 'à'). Semi-auxiliary verbs are used to express nuances of time, mood or aspect. In fact, virtually all verbs that can be followed by an infinitive (with or without a preposition) are considered semi-auxiliary in French. This includes 'aller', 'venir', 'sembler', 'laisser', etc.

Going by the explanation above, it can be seen that all the modal verbs are also semi-auxiliary but not all the semi-auxiliary verbs are modal.
