Rich4god:I like your thought process. However, while this seems nice on paper, I don't think it's practical or sustainable in many cases. Here are some of them: 1) This is may not feasible in tech and applied sciences. This is because lecturers in these departments are people who graduated from the departments and most times, they do not have the training to handle nursery, primary and secondary school students. These skills are specifically taught in the faculty of education. Trust me, you don't want untrained teachers handling your children. 2) It could easily lead to brain degradation. A first-class graduate who is interested in teaching at the university level would be asked to first go and teach "what is a family" and "1+1" in primary school for years before eventually making it to the lecturer level. Better believe that, at that time, the brain wouldn't be as sharp as it was once. 3) It could backfire. The nursery and primary school teachers who we all know put in a whole lot of work even more than some university lecturers may be looked down upon as low achievers since that's exactly what thier position in the proposed hierarchy suggests. This is regardless of the fact that some of them are they cause they are passionate about dealing with kids and do not have any intention of becoming lecturers at any point in thier lives. Now, everything that has a good side has a bad side as well. The question is, does the good outweigh the bad here? I can't say for certain. |
Why don't we focus on her career achievements instead ? |
Nothing is as painful as a mother's death. |
pyyxxaro:I knew the first comment would be unnecessarily toxic. So because he married Regina, he shouldn't go out with the other wives? He's been going out with Regina and this one time you see him with another of his wives, it means Regina will be crying and rolling on the ground? And somehow, the thought of Regina crying made you so happy? Nawa o. |
Rayban26:I wish you'd say this to all the NL guys who rush to defend any promiscuity from men. I'm a man and this baby is just doing what the majority of babies do. Almost all kids I know mimicked thier fathers or mothers at some point in thier lives. Heavens know I did, and I didn't grow up with bad habits. I'm sure she'd also demonstrate the way her mother talks. You're only pressed cause the man happens to be a stammerer. However, if that man wasn't okay with it, he could've easily stopped it. I don't think any woman would joke around with her child like this if there was any sign that her husband is uncomfortable with it. He talks like that, yet she married him. So the stammering isn't a problem for anyone. It was just a beautiful family having fun. You can stop your own child from mimicking you, but this particular family couldn't care less about your opinion. A good day to you. |
misreal:Aren't you doing the same here on NL? There's a war of public opinion online and experience has shown that it shouldn't be neglected. And that's where there's a team dedicated to it. They're just doing the job they are trained to do just like those at the war front are doing thiers. |
Lame... was there no one to tell them it wasn't a great idea? |
Antoeni:I find the part in bold funny cause you're clearly the one derailing here with the hope of hijacking another thread and steering up religious sentiments, and you have the guts to call others kids. As important as the war in the middle East is, other news concerning our country still have a place on here and this attempt to derail a completely unrelated thread while blackmailing the audience into paying attention to it by implying that those who don't do so are kids is simply egregious. You could've put this comment on threads dedicated to that subject or better still, you could've created your own thread to discuss the subject. Nawa for you people on this forum. |
Lol... as usual, they are all calling the woman names. |
Tommydare:You're only saying this cause you were flogged while growing up, so the idea of not flogging kids sounds unfathomable or even foolish to you. You don't know any other way that could possibly better than the good old brain-resetting lashing that you received while growing up. But it's important to note that there are a lot of people out there that were not flogged as kids, but they turned out just well; even better than their counterparts who were flogged. That singular fact is enough to let you that there is, in fact, an alternative. And while I'm not criticizing you for your approach, I'm letting you know that those that don't hit thier kids are not necessarily deceiving themselves like you posited up there. |
The title makes it look as if he was arrested just for flogging a female student. Even before opening the thread, I knew that wasn't the case cause flogging isn't prohibited in government collages, and the girl surely isn't the first student to be flogged there. He abused his power by inflicting injuries on the girl. No parents will take thar sitting. This is why I think flogging should be banned or, at least, be a reserved privilege for dedicated disciplinarians in schools who have the required training to do that. You shouldn't allow just anyone to hit children in the name of discipline. Some have anger issues while others are just wicked. It's unfair to leave our kids at the mercy of these people. |
I do not think it's a good idea to travel for that level of uncertainty. |
The same way girls who date guys that work in those places cope; trust. |
So what exactly makes her a slay queen? Or y'all just call ladies slay queens now? |
OP, you didn't warn us about the pictures. Say NO to war! |
Lol... She's a social media influencer whose major source of income relies on how much attention she's able get on the internet. What do y'all expect? Would you have been talking about her if she had gone there decently dressed? She's just doing her hustle. You talk about it, she promotes some company's product while y'all are focused on her. She makes her money. A win is a win. |
Kachidubem:Dude, rushing in to blame the victims is the same as supporting this wickedness perpetuated by these scammers, and as they say, what goes around comes around. The whites are dumb, yet they are more advanced than you are? You think black Americans would have been exempted if they had as much money as the whites? Sir, the reason these westerners seem to be easy targets is because their society doesn't make them as security conscious as ours do. Have you been to the US/Canada? Even thier banking security isn't developed to be as tight as what we have in Nigeria. All you need is someone's ATM card, and you can swip it at any store without PIN, security code or multi-factor authentication like token. And some of these thieves are taking advantage of these things. |
Even the so-called educated ones with white collar jobs are fraudulent. Why are so many Nigerians greedy and wicked? |
Shapeaso:Lol... Relax as chill and wait for his grown up son/daughter to show up? You guys have watched a lot of movies. It doesn't always happen that way. A lot of kids don't ever see thier biological father. Even those that do don't always have any real bond with thier father at that time. Or you think a grown-up man/woman will automatically establish a child/father relationship with some old dude just because they learned he's thier biological father? Besides, OP wants the joy of seeing his baby grow up. He doesn't just want some guy to walk in one day and he's his son (just assuming the gender here). He might find it hard to 'relax' knowing his child is our there growing up without him. That said, OP, the lady do not owe you anything. If you're not married to her, that baby is not legally yours until your name is entered as its father at the point of birth and it's up to her to decide if she wants to do that or not. This is what most guys don't understand. Dumping your sperm into someone doesn't automatically give you any right over her or the baby growing within. It's understandable if she doesn't want to get married to you (most men don't want to get married to the ladies they sleep with), but if you can reach her and convince her to allow you play a role in the child's life (both physically or financially), that will be great. However, that's pratically all you can do. You can't approach this with force. Good luck! |
I'm really interested in knowing what transpired between Peter Obi and this Reno guy. Lol. |
Jagabanarmy:Lol... that's oxymoron right there, bro. I mean, if it's unsubstantiated, then it can't be a fact yet, right? Meanwhile, that guy is boldly spreading a narrative that appeals to him as if they were facts. Imagine him saying "intels" as he's some top DSS agent. Lol. |
Was he arrested or invited for questioning? |
Auxtan:The singular act of a mentally disturbed cat has made you hate cats for life. This right here is one of the major issues we face in Nigeria. The activities of one or two persons of a particular ethnic group, gender or religious belief are enough to make y'all hate the said group for life. And most times, this is because you don't get close to the people of these groups enough to know what is actually a normal behavior and what isn't. Like in this case, if you knew more about cats, you would have known how protective of thier kittens they are. But you don't, and that's why you're basing your entire decision on this particular case. |
youngrichnigga:That it was sighted somewhere else doesn't make it less rare. The question, is it common to see that fish in Bayelsa? Do they just swim around in abundance over there? The answer is no, cause if it was common, it wouldn't have made the news when one was caught. It's normal for fish to swim to other regions sometimes, but it's still rare if they're not seen there regularly. Besides, like I said, if they're in abundance in other regions, let the locals create awareness and make money. What's the point of calling the white man bias for not knowing or acknowledging that you have it? Do you really need them to do that for you? And FYI, some of the fish up there are not found in the West. |
youngrichnigga: |
youngrichnigga:You think they'd pay thousands of dollars to buy one if they could easily buy it in bulk in these other countries? They may be biased but not foolish. If these fishes were readily available in some other places apart from the location where they're currently found, nobody will be dishing out thousands to buy one just so that it'll keep its status. That will be penny wise, pounds foolish. Besides, if that was the case, the residents of these other locations where the fish is in abundance would have been making fortune from it. They don't need oyibo or anyone to acknowledge it first. |
Saskay44: Curse777:The certificate isn't a requirement. The issue is misrepresentation. That's the crime. It's really an interesting case in our history. Let's wish for the best. |
nocodechief:I came to type this. They never promised to sell him an iPhone. |
So you want to protest the decision of an American court about an American school in America? All because one of your own allegedly graduated from the said institution, you think you're now in a position to protest against thier legal process? In other words, you want to intimidate their judiciary? Lol... You think a billion march in Nigeria will change their law? And how did you manage to bring the struggles of the people of Niger into this your logic? You're insulting them by comparing their plight with that people who want to protect one individual. Why not just let the law take it's due process? Or should LP supporters also start protesting the judgment made in favor of Tinubu last month? Please, let's not create chaos hoping it'll favour our interest cause when it gets out of control, we'll all bear the consequences. |
SSpeter:Ok... in that case, everything I said still stands but with the parties switched. |
FreeStuffsNG:I'm not surprised he can boldly come out and say this. You'll still see many NL guys supporting and justifying it. |
Actually, a monthly payment generally benefits the property owner more. Anyone that understands finance knows that the money at hand today is worth more than the same amount tomorrow. The money you pay him in January could get him a few extra bucks by December and this would help to counter the effect of inflation. Again, monthly payment almost always implies monthly lease contract as well. This also gives your landlord (and yourself) more flexibility. Any party can end the lease at any time (not always the case though). On your side, it pays you more to hold on to your money as long as possible, provided the amount isn't subject to change by year end. This way, you can earn some interest on your money before giving out the principal. You just need to be principled enough to set it aside every month (this is why some companies delay salary payment). But then again, it all depends on individual situations. iLoveYouToo:Yeah, but this is like eating your cake and still having it. A property owner that accepts monthly payment would want a monthly lease term as well. |
