If it was lady, y'all will be like "women don't know what they want". Lol |

Stomoney: TruthsFM:Hehe... these ones don't even know where the republic of the Congo is. They just rush to comment. @OP, this has been debunked. See the link here: https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/govt-denies-coup-claim-in-congo/%3famp |
Acekidc4:Yes, what's wrong with dreads and how is it different from any other hairstyle? |
Lol... sir, if you don't want to date a lady that dresses in a particular way, don't do it. It's as simple as that. No need to create a thread about it. People dress how they want to dress. You date who you want to date. |
You guys are obsessed with girls on this platform; hiding your obsession behind pretentious morality as if you're deceiving anyone. |
Lol... I agree that we have failed the boy child. Like I always say, we focus so much on molding the girl child that we completely neglect the boy child. The impact of this laissez-faire attitude we give the boy child can be felt all over Nairaland. They're all here constituting nuisance like perverted degenerates. However, what I find funny is how you still manage to blame women for both thier misgivings and the misgivings of men. When a wife isn't good, we call out women. When a husband isn't good, we call out thier mothers. It's always women. Y'all say the reason why it's not good to be a single mom is because a son needs a father. But somehow, you still hold the woman responsible when the son turns out bad. Of course, men fell from heaven and can do no bad. It's like y'all lie down at night to think of new ways to blame women. There's literally no limit. It's becoming embarrassing for you. Honestly, as a man, I cringe when I read a fellow man obsessing with the idea of calling women out and shying away from responsibilities. It's shameful. |
Saao:So there's no need to investigate, right? |
DaddyCoool:I see. The difference between reading alone and being thought by someone is that the later gives you the opportunity to ask questions or, at least, reconfirm your understanding. They're not mutually exclusive, he can read online and still come here to engage longtime investors. For someone who's totally new in a certain domain, I think that's the best approach. To be a competent independent learner, one needs to get the foundation right, and the surest way to do that is by riding on the experience of others and avoiding thier mistakes. Like I earlier said, the clicks and numbers aren't the problem, the challenge is deciphering what and when to buy, and only experienced people can guide you through that. You called Nairaland people noise makers, and asked him to go on Google, but you forget Google is not a human being. It is also full of noises. It's the same Nigerians that are uploading those documentations. Anybody can type anything and post it online. It's not vetted and there's no one to criticize them unlike an interactive forum that gives you and I the chance to counter each other's opinions and, thereby, letting the OP make an informed decision. Moreover, Even NL will come up on Google. So for Google to be effective, he needs to know the authentic sites to go to, and such sites could be suggested by investors here who have undergone the same process in the past. If you think he wasted his time coming here to hear from real investors, consider the fact that he got your advice to go on Google from Nairaland, and if you think that your advice is a great advice, then it means he has gotten something from coming here. |
DaddyCoool:You may want to narrow down your search to OP's location and wants. Most brokers serve specific countries and the investment options differ. Also, there's nothing wrong with the dude seeking guidance from experienced investors. Many online contents are sponsored for promotion even when that's not explicitly stated. |
At a glance, trading is not complex at all. You only need to a get a good stock trading platform, transfer money into your account and start buying shares. The trick is in knowing what to buy, when to buy and when to sell. The platform you use depends on your country of residence and the type of stocks you want to buy. Please, consider your age and risk appetite before making any purchases. It's always a good idea to balance out things with a good combination of high-risk and low-risk investments appropriate for your age and financial situation. |
Shalommy:Did you read the post? |
It's also in Nigeria. I haven't gotten the update myself. |
garriAndsugar:It's less than an hour if he's flying. |
Nice... but I'm sure Anamosa people are more interested in results. So let's wait and see. |

Not sure what happened here or why thier system would "accidentally" blacklist your number, but I suspect it was a bug/logical error (either some conditions that needed to be relaxed a bit or some words/patterns that needed to remove from thier user auditing module). They probably stored your IP and/or other connection details after your number was first blocked. So when you used a different SIM with the same connection details, the system automatically blocked it again (which is a good measure). I see how the presence of such logical error could cast a shadow of doubt on the reliability of the system, but I'm struggling to understand how it implies the app is not safe. If anything, it could be interpreted to be overly strict. Good thing you have your account back! |
StJasper:I don't know much about these countries, sorry. You can research them online or ask Nairalanders that live/lived there. I heard that Australia's average annual salary is comparable to that of Canada, but I don't know about the tax and cost of living there. |
OP, this is seems more like HPV (that's the most common STI) or some yeast infection. I read someone say it's a symptom of HIV, but that's far from the truth. Early symptoms of HIV are normally flu-like (fever, sore throat, etc.) followed by swelling of the lymph nodes (neck, armpit, etc) and occasionally, red rashes. And all these would normally disappear on their own while the virus stays low-key for years afterwards. While I think it's not HIV, I believe it's serious anyway and you should go to a doctor who will requisition the right test. On a side note, I've seen a lot of guys come online to ask for help regarding such infections. While nobody likes to see dick pics on this forum, I think the fact that these guys can freely share thier concerns without shame or the fear of being trolled is a step in the right direction. While there will always be trolls, I usually see some good advice and people even call the OP "bro". This is good as it encourages us to freely talk about these things and not die in shame. Sadly, the same courtesy is not extended to women. Pictures aside, a woman cannot come here to seek such help without NL guys calling her all sorts of names and trolling Nigerian girls as if it's not the opposite gender that gave them the infection. This high-school behavior and narrow mindedness, just like any other sexist behavior, only comes back to haunt the guys cause the ladies who don't get the proper help/care they need still end up sleeping with the guys and spreading the infection. |
StJasper:That's a tricky one. To be honest, when I said entry, mid and senior level jobs, I was referring to highly skilled professionals ranging from those who are just starting thier careers (entry level) to those that are well advanced in thier profession (senior level). Example of such highly skilled professionals include teachers, technicians, lawyers, business analysts, project managers, doctors, software developers, engineers, accountants, nurses, bankers, and other such professionals that require specialized skills or university degrees. For these groups of people, I have a 'fair understanding' of the salary scale in some countries in the Americas, Europe and the Middle East. However, when you say "middle class jobs", I have a feeling you're referring to semi-skilled workers like clerical staff, equipments installers, warehouse supervisors, pest control technicians, customer service rep and other similar jobs that are classified above unskilled but do not require extensive training or university degree or specialization. If that is the case, I might not be able to answer factually cause I've not really spent time in that part of the labour market. What I know for sure is that such jobs are more readily available in the US than other places I've lived in or visited. For the first group of people I mentioned (highly skilled), I observed that the country that pays the most "after-tax" salary in the Middle East is the UAE (the after-tax is in quote cause they don't pay income tax anyway. However, they mostly pay transferred employees more). Saudi Arabia (no income tax too) is also very similar. In the Americas, it is the US and in Europe, countries like Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland, Luxembourg, etc tend to pay more than others. Singapore, Japan and Honkong are strong contenders in Asia. When compared as a whole, I observed the US generally pays more than the European countries except for those specific high income countries in Europe. While the UAE tend to pay the most, the chances of getting those kinds of jobs are higher in the US/Canada. Again, when you consider income before tax, you might have a different arrangement with countries like the US, Germany, Canada, the UK, etc going up the least (I know nothing about Australia and New Zealand). One thing to bear in mind is that when it comes to earning potential, salary is one thing, actual job opportunity is another. Again, the pay is not always what it seems like as tax and cost of living are always in play. And please, take everything I said with a pinch of salt. This is based on personal experience and observations and, therefore, is more opinionated than factual. There are more detailed reports online shared by those who have actually studied the labour markets across the globe. I beseech you to read them for more accurate information. |
Klass99:Thank you! |
It probably means his marketing/PR has finally figured out how to give him a permanent position in the spotlight. I am not doubting the existing of secret organizations, but I strongly believe most of these artists are just milking the controversy. #opinion |
I've lived in 4 countries, so let me offer my two cents. First, if you're looking at it from a financial standpoint, those who live in Nigeria and work for organizations in Europe or the Americas are far more gainfully employed than those living in these places (even though those living abroad are more paid than thier offshore counterparts). Even if you spend mindlessly, you'd still likely be very rich cause of exchange rate. If you're single, you'd probably be spending between 5% to 10% of your salary (depending on your level) and the remaining part (which could be more than a million depending on your level) could go to savings and investment. Meanwhile, your counterparts in the Western world will be spending in the currency of the resident countries. Some of them might even be struggling to save after paying monthly house rent of about $2,300 in NY and bills like electricity, water, gas, internet, phone, cable etc. as well as other expenses like transportation, groceries, wears, haircut and entertainment. There's simply no comparison here. That said, like someone has already mentioned, living abroad isn't all about money for some people. Other factors like amenities, safety, passport (freedom of movement), exposure to diversity and, most importantly, the future of your offspring all come into play. Now, to your question, it all depends on the individual's field, level, the country where they are and the exchange rare at the time. Some countries pay more than others. Some fields pay more than others and advanced/senior professionals earn more than mid level and entry level professionals. So it's not very practical to give a figure. Moreover, people aren't dumb enough to keep compounding money in the bank like that. That's a poor man's mindset. Buying assets that appreciate with time or investing in financial instruments that counters inflation is the only way to secure the value of your money. Finally, whether you move or not is up to you. You might save less (even though you get paid more when you're there), live in a much smaller apartment and deal with the cold weather and racism, but there are benefits like thes ones I mentioned above. It's an individual thing. So take a moment to understand your priorities. And if you're still not so sure, secure a visitors' visa and go see for yourself first (bearing in mind visiting/vacationing in a place is far more fun than actually living there). Good luck! |
meum:You guys don't read. Read! This does not apply to you. You need visa. This is mostly for visa free countries and it's not hard to get. It's just a way of monitoring entry/exit. With less than $7, one can apply online and get it immediately (for those from visa free countries). |
MatrixReloaded:Oga, stop playing the victim. Read! This does not apply to you as a Nigerian. You need visa. This is mostly for visa free countries and it's not hard to get. It's just a way of monitoring entry/exit. With less than $7, one can apply online and get it immediately (for those from visa free countries). |

YesDaddyTill203:That's the whole idea. You don't need it if you have a visa. The goal is to know who is entering the country at every point in time especially when the traveler is from a country that doesn't require visa to go to the UK. They cannot depend on flight data from secondary parties alone to monitor this thus the need for the this travel document. It is not a visa and the aim is not to restrict entry since the document is given to you once you apply online (if you're from a visa free country). So the US, Canada, etc. still have free entry. I don't know why we're sensationalizing it, some other countries already have this for different purposes. In Canada, it's also called ETA and in the US, it's called ESTA |
Leopard moray (aka honeycomb moray). It's a type of eel. |
Akoko1stooni:So she shouldn't defend herself after a humiliating recording of hers was released on the same social media? The issue is that once you guys don't like someone, you no longer apply reasoning when judging the situation. |
This is not about whether you like Mrs. Onochie or not. If this her story is true, then those people are really wicked. They released the video knowing people will gladly accept any narrative that puts the woman in a bad light. Why does helping people abroad always end like this? Nawa o |
12inchess:Let's stop all these labeling. It only leads to a herd lifestyle where you see whatever the other party does as wrong. There shouldn't be a sharp division or categorization of woke and non woke. Such division will only box you into a corner. I believe we should teach kids the soft skills they need to survive in the current generation. There are some things kids of then didn't need to learn cause they were surrounded by people who wouldn't take advantage of them, but things have changed and it would be a mistake to approach child training the old way in this new world. On the other hand, letting your kid insult and threaten to assault a woman old enough to be his grandma doesn't add any value to his life. I don't see how that is woke. So it's basically all about teaching the kids what they need to know in order to protect themselves and also be good to others. It's not a woke vs non woke game. |
