All of Suden, Putin remembers to mingle with African leaders, gifting thier presidents and transporting them in nice cars. Lol. |
Georgejeez:Dude, each country is out to make gains. That's natural. That's not hidden. That's the nature of business. If your leaders allow y'all to get the short end of the bargain, you hold them responsible. However, this doesn't undermine the fact that the West has made more investments in Africa and has offered more aids to the region in the past years. Over a third of China's oil come cheaply from Africa. More than 20% of thier cotton come from Africa. They own almost all the mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo and they're are actively drilling in Uganda. So they're getting just ass much in return minus the aids part. Instead, they give loans that only give them more access to your wealth. A closed country with a closed culture can never be genuinely welcoming to foreigners. It's all about the long term plan to undercut the West and not about you. If Russia was any better, why did they wait till they need allies to start wooing Africa given that they had the resources? They suddenly remembered you have needs? The real reason why y'all won't grow is that you dine with one devil just for the sole purpose of spiting another. This same Russia participated heavily in slave trade just like the West. There hasn't been any activity or discussion in that region that slightly indicates that have acknowledged thier atrocious past and they're back with a fake smile as if it never happened and you're not asking questions all because you hate the West. Putin is suddenly the messiah. Sir, there is no international relation that doesn't expose a country to foreign influence, but it's still safer to be influenced by a democratic nation because when the chips are down, your fate won't be in the hands one man. |
revived2:The amount is small but expressing it in dollars to make it appear smaller is misleading since the OP doesn't live in the US and, therefore, doesn't spend in dollars. |
Bioboy1213:How do you want the camera to capture both her and the TV at the same time? Lol |
CaptainFM1:A helicopter from Putin to the president of Zimbabwe is the wonder? You guys just type anything on this platform. Has the East been providing any humanitarian aids to Africa before now? What FDI did Russia have in your country? The UK has the highest foreign direct in investment in Nigeria while the US has the highest humanitarian aids. Russia didn't care about your existence and couldn't even pretend to care. China was even better even though they made sure they got huge returns for every penny. And then when they need allies, they suddenly started gifting you candies like kids and wooing your presidents like pretty ladies. And you're here already falling flat for them. No wonder Nigeria keeps getting the same terrible leaders in each election. Some of y'all are so easily manipulated. |
Wooing African countries like pretty ladies. Lol. |
Divorcing a female teenager for allowing a male doctor to attend to her health care is height of it all. I've been saying it here, misogyny a beast that eats its owner. |
REALretep:Sure, I will. Company income tax is fixed at 30%. However, companies that do not have any profit for the financial year are only required to pay the minimum tax of 0.5% of gross income. Now, the reason why I said not necessarily is because companies in the first four calendar years of business, companies engaged in the agriculture business, or small companies are exempt from this minimum tax. This means that for the firts 4 years, the graduates won't pay CIT if they don't make any profit. That's more than enough time to decide if they want to continue the business or not. Hope it's clear. |
Jking20:This isn't necessarily the case. |
HacheNoire:Haha... this is the funniest comment I've read on here in a while. 🤣 |
Enice:So what should she have done differently in order not to age? Is your humble sister as beautiful as Rihanna is now? Oga, leave them and marry your fellow men that you find more beautiful. Everyone will age, both men and women. It shouldn't stop anyone from looking thier best at all times. Nothing lasts forever, even your strength as a man will fade away at some point. Should that stop you from making the best out of it now? You guys are always quick to advise women as if you were created with a repository of wisdom. Yet, you type incoherent rubbish 99% of the time. How does insulting Rihanna that hasn't done anything to you seem like a smart move to you? You think attacking women makes you more manly? When you get older, you'd realise how childish it is to go around insulting people based on gender just to belong to the men's club. Rihanna is aging beautifully well. Pray that your wife looks this good at her age after child bearing. |
The insecurity on the guy's side is just ridiculous. I'd understand if you had suspicions earlier, but just getting up one morning to ask her who's her bestie and then going to ask question like "is it because of him you like dreadlocks?" is a big red flag. It's more about him than about her. Even if she leaves that guy, he'd still get up tomorrow to ask "who's your boss? Is it because of him you like that career? Quit your job". An insecure person never stops until they isolate you from everyone that matters in your life. Even your female friends will be a threat especially the single ones. He'll always create a scenario in his head and start fighting it. Meanwhile, his own social life will remain intact. Asking a lady to cut off a long time friend as if he's some piece of jewelry is crazy especially if she hasn't done anything to show she's placing him above you. Just take a moment to think of how it would sound to tell a friend of 15 years that you can't talk to him anymore because your new boyfriend is feeling insecure about your friendship. A guy that will likely still cheat on you because we live in a society where cheating on the male's side isn't a biggie. Funnily enough, these same guys go around trying to convince each other they value friendship. You think a lady that has the potential to cheat wouldn't do that because you asked her to cut off her bestie? Ladies, the moment you allow him cut you off your social support system, you're at his mercy and his insecure ass will make life hell on earth for you. If he threatens you with ending the relationship, then he's probably not the one. |
The country is due for a subscription based transport system. |
VOsimhen144:What is grocery? |
Communication is everything. I think your delivery doesn't do justice to your intended message. You made it look as if the dead people were guilty of something or as if there's a relation between thier perceives attitude and the fact that they're dead. Calling thier smile fake on the basis of the fact that thier corps weren't smiling is just ridiculous, and it suggests that you're calling them out or even feel you're doing something better. But the truth is, you're not. Dressing well and looking good for the camera is what we all do. Talking about achievements or our plans is what we do as human beings. These things don't imply an overestimated sense of self importance. Only someone with little or no achievement will see it that way, and that would be out of envy. Regardless how you humbly dress, feel or look on social media, your corps will not be smiling when you die and your body will surely change. Should that stop you from living your life to the fullest? Of course, not. I get that you're saying life is unpredictable and could be cut short at anytime and we should, therefore, be humble and kind to one another. I just don't see how calling out dead people you didn't know when they were alive do justice to that message. You made it look like you've got something one should do in order not to die or for thier corps to look better when they do. |
danvon:Your first statement implies you don't know the country. So how then did you know that it's not a place a sensible Nigerian should be going? And then your last paragraph resorts to insulting them for taking steps to protect thier country even though the steps align with your suggestion. I'm almost certain that only a particular category of visa was banned. It's very unlikely they'd say no Nigerian should enter their country. That kind of ban only happens when two countries are having diplomatic issues. So if anything, they're aligning with your idea that they shouldn't allow just about anyone to enter thier country. This way, only the educated/skilled people who add values to the country's economy are allowed in. Besides, even if they allowed anyone from Nigeria to enter, it's still nothing to insult them for. The UK allows anyone from the US, Canada, Australia, etc. to enter thier country without visa, yet we don't hear anything about these people causing issues for them. But Kazakhstan and UAE made e-visa available to Nigerians, and both countries regretted it. So I don't think the ideal reaction is to blame the host countries for giving us a chance. Instead, we should call out our country people for messing it up. Until we stop projecting blames, nothing will change. #opinion |
blacksam01:It hasn't happened yet, you've already narrated it, you've already taken sides, you've already decided it's not the man's fault and you've already gone ahead to call out Nigerian girls. All for a story that only exist in your head. This whole sexism thing makes you guys sound like teenage boys so eager to be accepted into the men's club that you'd say just anything to fit in. You somehow believe that trash-talking the opposite gender makes you more manly, and that's laughable to say the least. In a society where men are accepted and even praised as being "a key to multiple padlocks", you still want to sell the narrative that women are the main cause of relationship breakups?OK. |
I want her dentist's number. |
pquaver:You people? Please, you don't know me and we have never discussed politics. So please, let's keep it civil. I clearly stated that it's a pieces of identification. I also stated that it's a proof of citizenship considering the fact that a foreigner cannot obtain it if they don't have a certificate of citizenship. But there are two things you need to understand. The first thing is, the absence of a passport is not a proof of non citizenship. So even if Tinubu doesn't have a passport, it is not a hard proof that he's not a citizen of the said country. But you're right, he does not need to prove that he's not a citizen of the country. It's up to the accuser to prove that he is. And that brings us to the second thing you need to understand. The second thing is that the presence of a passport (even if it's expired) is a proof that a certificate of citizenship was issued at some point. Therefore, if the holder says they don't have a citizenship certificate, then they're implicating themselves in a bigger crime and they'll have to explain to the court how they were able to obtain a passport without certificate of citizenship. And if they accept that they have a certificate of citizenship, then the burden will then be on them to prove that they're no longer a citizen. In that case, they'll have to present a document that will invalidates the certificate. So whichever way Tinubu's lawyer's go, they can't just claim he's not citizen by presenting an expired passport. That's a mockery of our judicial system. Yes, An expired passport is invalid as a traveling document and as a piece of identity. The expiry date exists to account for all the changes, both physical and circumstantial, that could have occurred within the validity period of the document. However, when it is tendered as an evidence in court, it's a valid proof that citizenship was issued to the holder. And once that is proof accepted, the burden of proof falls on the accused to show that the citizenship was taken back or denounced at some point. When you go to obtain your passport, they ask for an evidence of citizenship. For a new citizen, you present your certificate of citizenship. For someone who holds an expired passport, that expired passport itself is accepted as evidence citizenship. So while an expired passport is not a valid piece of identification for the aforementioned reasons, it's still an evidence of citizenship and any competent judge knows that. |
Adranidoo:So women should not progress career wise? Are female doctors not getting married in Nigeria? Or you think Nigerian men abroad don't face loneliness as well? Or maybe the non career driven girls abroad are less lonely? What exactly does this have to do with her job? You think the loneliness is just about the absence of a boyfriend? Dude, the western culture makes immigrants lonely regardless of thier careers and gender, and there are many reasons for that. You guys don't ever miss an opportunity to be sexist even in this century. If women don't do "important jobs" or pursue thier dream career, you say they're useless and that they don't bring anything to the table. When they go out there to hustle or pursue thier dreams, you'd still call it feminism and claim they're not marriable. Nawa |
pquaver:Please, let's not allow politics make us sound dumb. Passport is a traveling document that allows you to enter the country freely. It can also serve as a valid proof of citizenship. However, the expiration of one's passport does not imply they're no longer a citizen of the said country. Citizenship does not have an expiry date. It's not something you renew periodically like a passport. When you're made a citizen, you take an oath of citizenship in the presence of a judge. You're issued a certificate of citizenship and your name is captured in the database. It is with this certificate that you can apply for a passport. Applying for a passport is necessary as it ensures free movement and can also be used as a piece of identification, but it is not mandatory for a citizen to have one. Therefore, like I earlier said, the expiration of your passport doesn't terminate your citizenship. Any educated person knows this. Why let these politicians play on our intelligence? Let's support whoever we want to support, but let's not degenerate into total absurdity in the process. |
emmyN:Okay emmyN. |
emmyN:I don't see how what you typed is a response to my comment. You obviously did not understand what I wrote. I am man by the way. |
Lol... see how they're wriggling like an earthworm sprinkled with salt. The post ain't even insulting and y'all are reacting this way. Yet you say all sorts of things about women especially the single ones. |
TemplarLandry:I'm not a fan of Mark, but I don't think trying to take users from Twitter is greed. He's a business man and it's the nature of business to compete as much as you can within your legal limits. Twitter was a blow to Facebook. Former Twitter owner is out trying to come up with some that will blow the two oldies out of the water. And you think Mark is greedy for responding in kind? If you were an established software engineering corporation, you'd have known that the moment you stop adding to your portfolio is the moment you start declining. And to add to your portfolio in today's tech world, you must be willing to create better alternatives to pre-existing solutions. Microsoft is one company that understands that. They have a response to virtually all software systems developed by major corporations around the world: browser, search engine, PC OS, mobile OS, server OS, Cloud infra, office tools, programming languages, AI tools, ERP and retail tools, etc. And they bought many of of thier systems at infant stage and evolved them. That's why they're still leading the industry today. I can give you names of major tech companies that died because a competitor took thier mouth away from the breast and they couldn't respond fiercely enough. Competition is good. It benefits us. So let's enjoy it instead of taking sides with big men who are just trying to optimize profit. |
When you are married or engaged to someone, you lose the liberty to take career risks at will. This is because it is no longer your futures that is at risk, but that of your partner and future kids. Regardless of how much love you've got between the two of you, marriage requires material resources to survive and you quiting your job greatly alters whatever the financial plan was put in place. Therefore, it should be an agreement between the two parties. |
Did they identify the as housewives? |
When you read threads complaining that Nigerian women start to misbehave when they get abroad, always remember that by misbehaving, they mean that the women stop taking the nonsense dished out to them in Africa. |
dadadoc:Bravo, monsieur. Je mange du pain, de l'ananas et du raisin. Petit-déjeuner Je bois du thé à la crème Je me réveille [ville?] aujourd'hui |
taylor89:Hhmm.... so are the other 20% of Nigerian companies worth dying for? Are the German/Canadian companies are worth dying for? |
DeeBaDan: DeeBaDan:Bros, I'm not sure you understand how this works. If the ban took place anytime before January 31st that year, there's no way he's getting into any EU country till the ban expires. That's because it would still exist in the joint Schengen Information System. In addition, 'the UK is part of the Five Countries Conference group, which agreed to share information about visa applications and other immigration intelligence between themselves - the other members of this group are Canada, the US, New Zealand and Australia. It is highly likely that a ban in the UK would affect applications to these countries.' They'd like to know the reason and this might also influence thier decision or, at least, make them scrutinize his application more. |
Congratulations girls! I don't know why people feel the need to rain on other people's parade. Let them have thier moment. It's a milestone worth celebrating. If you keep thinking of the challenges ahead, the question is, when will you celebrate? After Bachelors? NYSC? Masters? Doctorate? A new job? Marriage? There's always a challenge ahead. So let them celebrate thier little winning. ![]() |
