Is that the dress? I am not seeing any indecency o
Honestly, if not jealousy or maybe inferiority complex, I don't know any other reason some people immediately feel it's a power tussle when they meet popular or successful artists (especially the ladies). You see them harrasing these celebrities at any opportunity with the hope of bringing them down from their perceived high horse. A different lady would walk in there like that and nobody would care. We know this because we've all been to passport offices before, and there's nothing outstanding about her outfit. But because it's Simi, the person at the gate immediately felt the need to show her who's in charge here or to remind her that her celebrity status doesn't make her special. They so much cherish any opportunity to lord it over people that are more successful than them.

Some dumbos always be looking for a way to de market this country.

What manner of self hate is this. Once a foreigner says something good about the country they go on to tell the foreigner that the country is shitty .
Nigerians are always the first to trash talk the country in public spaces. The same people will turn around to ask why foreigners look down on them or treat them like trash. When you lose your pride, you become susceptible to abuse. When you tell people you came from hell, how do you expect them to dine with you? Your country is not the worst in the world, but you take every chance to convince the world it is. 90% of the bad things foreigners say about Nigeria were narratives pushed by Nigerians themselves, and the other 10% are based on thier individual experiences with the bad yolks that spoil our name.

I'm not saying you should not acknowledge the problems in the country or that you should pretend like everything is good. Being vocal about the issues faced by the country definitely creates awareness and puts pressure on the people to do better. However, I'm only saying that you should be smart enough to know when it's valuable to just keep quiet. Telling a foreigner that has one good thing to say about Nigeria that the country is hell is as if it itches you to hear positive things about your own country does not add any value. No country has ever solved thier problems by trash-talking themselves. How does scaring away potential investors help you move forward? I know people type these things to sound funny or to get attention, but they shouldn't act surprised when they're not taken seriously.

So this guy really left his wife or his wife left him?
Anyways if you are a man and you know within yourself you can’t stop “looking” outside. Don’t marry a modern wife or allow your wife experience the lifestyle of foreign women especially USA and UK else she’ll divorce you asap….And take half of everything you sweat to get grin
Regardless of the kind of wife you marry, she'll need a lawyer for a formal divorce, and an ignorant/unexposed wife doesn't necessarily imply an ignorant/unexposed attorney. So if you happen to be in a place where the law works, you might still end up paying. The question is, would you stand in the way of your family moving abroad based on the fear that your wife might seek divorce and take half of your money? Well, some men might actually do that, but when you take a moment to understand how alimony works, you might reconsider.

There's no law that states a woman is entitled to half of her husband's wealth in case of divorce. That would be gender bias. In most cases, the law only states that the wealthier partner pays alimony to make up for the time the less earner spent in care of the marriage. For obvious reasons, it's mostly the men that pay. However, we have many famous women who have paid alimony to thier spouses. Things like the reason for the breakup, how much you were earning before marriage vs after marriage, wife's income, nature of wife's work, your amount of involvement in home keeping, etc. are all put into consideration when alimony is calculated. Therefore, they're are very good arguments that can reduce alimony to almost nothing for men.

When you marry someone with similar or even higher education level and ensure that you both work the same hours and do all the house chores together, then your attorney will be in a better position to reduce your alimony when divorce is filed. However, this won't work for African men cause in reality, thier women mostly spend time taking care of the family and keeping the home together and thereby affording the men the time to go out there and make money. Parting ways with such a wife without paying a dime will be a difficult height regardless of how good the attorney is.

Another option is to get a prenuptial agreement before marriage. This works well for working class couples that do well on thier own. With such agreement, no one pays the other in the case of divorce. But again, men that sign such agreements should be ready to let the wife pursue her career to the best of her ability and manage her money/investments without interference. Now this is not cheap. Since both couples are high fliers and nobody can be tied down by home chores, this normally results in getting people to help with home keeping and child care. Many would argue this unafrican. Some men won't be happy until thier wives sweat in the kitchen cooking for them or wake up early to get the kids ready for school. And some women see prenup as lack of trust.

So leaving someone you really like to settle with some girl from a rural area with the hope that she won't divorce you some day and take your money with her doesn't sound like a great idea. The smart thing is to know how alimony works and put that into consideration in every step of the marital journey.

Jeez! This is saddening.

How one can report such news and complete the introductory paragraph without mentioning something as key as the date the accident took place is mind boggling. OP, I hope you take this as a feedback. Accidents happen all the time. When they're reported, people who have loved ones at the location of the incident are usually thrown into a panic. The first thing they check after the location has been determined is when it happened. This way, they're able to access where thier loved ones are expected to be at the moment or if they've spoken to them after the time of the accident. This is why it's good to put the location and the time in the introductory paragraph.

SultanOfAbia:
I'm even thinking of dumping her.
Are you being serious right now? The way you guys casually say things like this explains why some ladies don't have mindset to stay committed in a relationship. With no regards to her feelings as a human being, you want to dump her cause she's a light sleeper. Then you pick up another one and maybe also dump her cause she sleeps too much. Afterwards, you start asking why your women can't be faithful to one man. As an employee, how committed would you be to a boss who speaks casually about firing you at the slightest provocation without any regards to the ruin that might do your life? Wouldn't you have contingency plans?

I believe the lady does this because she's not at her place. This happens to many us. When we're passing the night anywhere other than the place we're used to, we either find it hard to sleep or wake up so easily when we do. But let's even assume for a moment that she had an experience in the past that made her this way. Your response to that is to dump her? Honestly, when I read things like this, I just pity the Nigerian girls cause it seems the quality of men they're left with declines everyday. Y'all go around complaining about girls, but the truth is, they are a reflection of the men they mingle with.

Good luck.

As a Satanist, it'll be an honor to be in a magnificent hotel like this

Imagine watching horror movie in that hotel
It gonna be pure bliss
Satanist? Lol... I doubt.

The beauty of horror movies is the sense of fear in a controlled environment. If you enjoy it, it means you feel and relinquish this fear. But that also means you're not a Satanist because a Satanist wouldn't feel fear when faced with satanic things. You just like horror movies, and that doesn't make you a Satanist. A typical satanists wouldn't even like horror/magic movies partly because they consider it a ridiculous depiction of satanism and partly because they don't feel that fear that makes horror movies enjoyable. They even sued Netflix in 2018 for using thier image in Sabrina.

I am trying to understand the issue. What would have been an ideal greating? I watched the video thinking they gave him a high five only for me to realize it was actually the handshake reserved for titled people. What exactly were people expecting? For them not to shake hands at all? Ooni extended his hand first. Are they saying they're more traditional than Ooni? This same Ooni has been shaking hands with foreigners in a far more casual way than this. Who do we always look for reasons to fight one another? Both men are happy. Why are people focusing so much on miscellaneous things like this? I really don't understand.

That's a baby elephant just playing. They are very playful. It's not even sexually mature yet. Some of y'all view everything through your perverted minds. The idea of that beautiful lady being sexually harassed appeals to you, and that's why you came up with such a content. Everything is sexualizing. See the comments above already supporting the supposedly rapist elephant. Disgusting.

At 17, she's already raping boys? This is sickening.

Meanwhile, the entire front page is all about the gender. We read rape cases everyday where men are the culprits, and y'all don't remember to gender. You ideally criticize the men in question at best or find some other herd like his tribe or religion to call out. But the moment a woman is the offender, y'all gather to scream women. You really think this case or a thousand of it would compare to what women go through in the hands of men all over the world? You think this case of a female child molesting younger children somehow knocks out the alarming rate of rape cases against women today? The fact that you're even trying to score points with this crime shows you couldn't care less about the abused kids. Shame.

Can you imagine?

Rubbish
Lol... NL people would have been calling the student olosho and all sorts of names if it were a girl. They'd even use it to justify male teachers messing around with thier students. They'd just conclude that it's always initiated by the girls. But since it's a boy, it's being treated with kid gloves. After all, boys will always be boys.

While it's true that teens naturally tend to be hormone driven, the bias in the way we handle it usually results in raising men with a skewed sense of morality and women with a diminished sense of self.

FamilyRe: London Court Jails Nigerian Three Years For Flogging Son by etrange: 9:51pm On May 15, 2023
MrBrownJay1:
today flogging a child is considered abuse, even though majority of us are great human beings today because of these same "abuse"... so make sure that you A) have kids with a woman who follow your school of thought and B) live in a country where flogging is allowed-

no wonder kids in the UK (and all over the world) are now out of control!
Nigerians still flog kids and yet the country is a breeding ground for scammers, drug traffickers, skull miners, hookup girls, etc. Even the so-called decent ones can hardly have a conversation with you on here without it degenerating into total indecorousness. We say we respect elders but it's all on the surface. Judging from what I see here, I believe you're far more likely to have an insult-free argument with a kid raised in Canada than with the boys and girls of Nairaland. So I ask, what has flogging done for us? If many of you turned out good like you said, I seriously doubt it was because of the flogging.

The issue with flogging is not that it's totally bad for parents to discipline thier kids. The issue is that when you allow it, it becomes very difficult to moderate. This is because when people hit their kids, it's mostly out of anger. It's not always a pre-planned disciplinary action. And because hitting kids is allowed, nobody will raise an eyebrow until it's too late. Children are, therefore, left at mercy of people with varying temperaments. Even the wicked madams/ogas get away with maltreating other people's children while hiding behind discipline. We end up raising angry, hardened and cold people who can't feel the pains of others.

I personally believe flogging is a tactics used by lazy people who don't have the time to put in the work or people who were flogged by their parents. Otherwise, if you start very early enough to cultivate the habit of respect into your kids, you'll hardly get to the point where you'll need to hit them.

Simps will start flooding their social media statuses with her photos and videos now undecided..

A simple "congratulation" and the likes; gisting about it with your partner, etc should be enough..

Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy for her, why? Because she's one of us (Nigerian), she's doing online something reasonable, other than shaking bo0bs and boots, etc. But there are boundaries bro..

For the ladies in relationships

In fact,as a woman in a romantic union, if your man is disturbing the internet space with her photos and videos, when he has never or seldomly posts, talk about you, then (vehemently) call his attention to it. It is better to nourish worms than (to be in a relationship) not to be loved and valued above anyone/anything outside of the family cycle, regardless of who or what they (outsiders) are...
Hhmm.... I don't know why some people always feel the need to tell people what to do. While you're just happy for her because she's a Nigerian, to some other people, it goes deeper than that. There are people out there who are professional cooks like her and she has become their role model or point of reference. They'll flood thier pages with her pictures and that's OK. There are other people who make money by discussing the latest developments online. Such will people will flood thier pages with her pictures and that's OK. It's not even likely that a typical man would share her picture on his page simply because he finds her attractive, but even if that happens, it's OK too. People will do what appeals to them provided nobody else is getting hurt.
