It's high time ASUU or what are they called shuld be reasonable wit their demands from FG, knowing that the government are irresponsive to their numerous yearly demands, They shuld cut down on their numerous unreasonable demands instead of holding our educational system in a state of quagmire.

Pls my fellow nairalanders, how can i get my JAMB 2009 Admission letter for my 2nd choice institution, because i was offered two admissions on different Institutions. I had already bought an online admission letter scratch card, but when i logged in my details, it was my first choice admission letter that came up. Pls how will i go about this offline. Thought that they would have sent it to my school by now, but to no avail. I need a solution to this. Thanks and remain blessed.

Even if Uniport is top of the list in the institution that topmost in terms of prostitution and runs, that should not be ur problem at all. of which I don't see how it affects u, as you said you jst gain admission. Uniport is the most socially oriented uni. But you jst have to be yourself so as not to get implicated in the seas of fine babes.U've to be strong willed to ur emotion. More so][/color][color=#990000]Moreso that i quite sympathize with my fellow students in the south-east state owned universities over the lingering strike action embarked upon by their academic staff union of their respective institution caused by the non-chalant and bizarre attitude of their State governors, and having happen to come from one of the South-east states affected by the crises(Enugu State in particular). despite that i like the step taken by the ASUU president to draw Federal Government attention, But my only plea is that some Federal Universities are not yet tru with their 2ND semester exam, while some are already entering next academic session, of which my institution(UNIPORT) is on the course of examination before the strike was declared. Please they should just allow us to finish, so not to destabilise the academic calendar. But my prayer is that everything will come into fruition thin the least possible time.

I think I should go by Chemical Engineering because of its wide range of application in all chemical Industry such as Pharmaceuticals, Soap production,Detergents ,Oil producing companies, breweries. it is not restriced unlike other engineering courses. etc

Witout advent of Post-UME in our Institution of higher learning, wouldn't have been in school by now wit a jamb score of 226, while on the seat row where i sat the post- Ume, almost all d candidate had no less than 250, and engineering course,while I could sweat out a score of 226 in jamb.thank God for the Post-Ume. I pray that it will stay!

Sequel to the last fracas that took place over alleged hike in the school fees of the above institution, 4 students of the institution were expelled from the institution on grounds of being ring leaders of the riot which led to destruction of properties worth millions of naira. two of which are final year student of pharmarcy and member of SUG senate board.

from the look of things,it seems this the the worst exam conducted by jamb since their history. The acronomy has been changed 4rm UME to UTME, but the whole system of exam conduct has to be rebranded.And the speed at which jamb result is been processed had also contributed to many of the flaws experienced. If it will take them a month to publish the result, no problem but let them do it right.

Pls which institutuion is that type of screening obtainable, Uniport? or RSUST? Specify plz

Age limit shuld not be a crieria for those enrolling into our higher institutions in the country.I even felt that the more advanced one is @ a certain age( i.e 4rm 20yrs+). the more matured he or she will be to withstand all the challanges being posed in our institutions of higher learning. I think we should look at the situation 4rm another angle instead of Age limitation. This issue of age had created a lot of barrier for applicants & graduates looking for employment opportunities because of choice of age bracket limit by the different employers.So the same scenerio shouldn't be created in our Institutions as the saying goes "Education has no age limit"!

How can i locate any Alliance' francais centre @ Port Harcourt, where i stay.I really need to enrol in the study of french. Do they have these centres in all states of the Fedration. Pls I need ur help of anyone wit the idea,Am not too famailiar wit places in PH.

@ abariko. As for uniport basic program.The program is runned for one academic year of which it is divided into two semesters just as the regular program. In those two semester, you hve to be given an assessment exams for each semester. The 2009/2010  application program for 2010/2011 admission is now on course. The application form is sold for N7000 with additional N500 bank charges.After the form payment.Also remeber you have to have the last yr jamb score up to the score specified for each faculty u're applying for{e.g 200+ for Medical sciences & Engineering, 180+ for Physical sciences}. After that of which you can now go to the internet to process your photocard for the selection exam as there're used to be many candidates for this,so they have to put a screening exam for the selection of candidates. After the screening,the list of successful admitted candid8ts will be published for payment of school fees of N50,000.

I vehemently believe it should stay,because witout postUME, i wouldn't have been granted addmission. During my postUME @ UNIPORT, u culd have imagined that along the row I sat the exam{about 40 rows},nobody scored less than 249 in their UME,while i battled out to score 226. So what do you think of that? Anyway FOOD for THOUGHT!

I'm quite suprised to hear pple say that they have no choice than to accept such an outrageous amount as acceptance fee. frankly speaking,u' ve a right as a student because witout the students,that so called greedy VC will not be in that office,so both are important and the respect and attention of both parties(students & lecturers) should be observed.At least the negotiations shuld 've involved the student Union before delibrating on the unnecessary increment. Pls for those of u rushing to pay and denying urself ur right as a student.think twice.All hands are nt equal,so nt all hands can afford.

For them to choose u for 2nd choice that implies that u must perform more than thousands of pple who chose them as first choice. Jst put ur whole best and leave no stones unturned. May God be ur strength and fortress. GOOD LUCK

This is not a good story of UNN at this point in time. I'm quite happy on how the lions & lionesses hve taken up this challenge,though it may quite cripple schl activities at the moment. But I implore the stand they took on this issue,hopefully smthing wl come out of it. Nw the man will definitely know that he is playing in lion's den.

If u jst have a score to settle wit ESUT.Go to Esut and settle it wit school authorities instead of bringing it here in dis forum.The guy simply asked for info on the schl fees,is nt the reason for you to castigate or pour all those calumnies on Esut.Esut is not the worst uni in Naija and is nt hte best either. Take note!

@Raylight.To my own opinion that shuldn't give u a headache.The most important thing is for your name and choice of institutions to be accurate.Pray and try your best over the exam to get admitted,then there wl still be a whole lot of provisions for your declaration of birth and sworn affidavit of age during your yr one registration.So get the admission,which i pray you do and leave the issue of incorrect input of your age.It's quite trivial at the moment now.
