Bridget95:Yes, I agree but this is an opportunity for PMAN to sell itself to young musicians. |
Thought Tinubu will be a lot more broad-minded than Buhari but I don't know anymore men... Is it so difficult to balance this sh*t? |

That burial that they gave Mohbad is sacrilegious. Mohbad deserves a decent burial. Why can't his friends in music industry organize candle light procession, night of songs as a Christian, industry tribute nite and laying of flowers on his grave. I know many young artistes don't belong to PMAN but isn't this a perfect opportunity for PMAN and it's president Pretty Okafor to exert relevance and sell itself to these young hustling musicians. PMAN should at least issue a statement for police to investigate Mohbad's death, spearhead candle procession, visit his young wife and call on young musicians to take advantage of the legal PMAN's structure and clout in their careers. |
Ok |
udomonday:No, it is VP. That's exactly what he wore while flying out of Nigeria. |
On a lighter note, having stood by and defended a worthy and wealthy alumna, CSU endowment fund account go shake no be small any time from now. ![]() |
Nice. |
Mohbad deserves a befitting burial ceremony. That burial they did for him was a bit humiliating. |
Nice |
Gajagojo:Melancholic prose from a lowly paid keypad peasant. ![]() |
Coconut head Sancho. |
Mohbad doesn't deserve that humiliating burial. |
Gajagojo:Balderdash! |
No! no! no!, VP Shettima doesn't look sharp in this jacket in pic 1. His handlers should dress him in a smart suit custom-made to take care of his unique body shape or simply a traditional wear that creates the right impression. Look, no matter how smart you are, bad dress can make look dumb at first sight. |
Lutherblaq:Bro, OK on Nairaland means "please, give me small time make I think wetin to write". ![]() |
From Mohbad's petition to the IG of Police, he was up against a Lagos Mafia. He knew SOMETHING due to his association with Naira Marley. Leaving Naira Marley means living with such secret and for the Mafia that's dangerous. Therefore, it was either he was constantly harassed to come back to the fold or he is better off dead. Now that Mohbad is dead, Bella Shmurda might be targeted as the Mafia might be afraid Mohbad might have shared the secret with him. Recall that Naira Marley constantly painted Mohbad as a drug addict while Mohbad also consistently denied that tag as mere smokescreen for his accusers to kill his career. This negative projection is typical of Mafia to make the family of and people around their victim to believe that they care as a group. Why should anyone worry so much about a non-relative drug addict as to lose sleep, follow him up and down and constantly disrupt his career moves? One fact of life is that once you have a kiss with Mafia group, you are perpetually encumbered. Mohbad was unlucky to have encountered Naira Marley. Mohbad's father knows the danger lurking which explains his wholehearted and calm acceptance of his son's demise. Thank God for labels like Olamide, Don Jazzy, OBO, etc. |
The truth is that studying is not as easy as it looks. You need discipline. The current epidemic trend in private secondary schools where students pay money and they are helped by teachers to pass SSCE may be a factor. It lays a poor foundation for students to work hard if they find themselves in strict university environment. Anyways, a person's talent makes a way for him. Odumodublvck's AVERAGE musical talent and BRIGHT star has given him a lifeline. Otherwise, na bombing dude for dey do now for Nyanya. ![]() |
blaise26abj:Just google Tinapa project. Thanks. |
ednut1:Cross River going broke as you said is the even the reason why the project should have been creatively put into alternative uses to generate money for the state instead of being abandoned. |
Aesthetically, Florence Ita-Giwa is at liberty, like any other woman, to make effort to look beautiful. Politically, however, there is basically no difference between Donald Duke and Florence Ita-Giwa. They are part of the selfish politicians that keep riding on the back of people of Cross River people to advance political and financial interests since the formation of PDP in 1989. They may change political parties, but their motives remain the same. What is still baffling today is how Donald Duke, as governor of Cross River State, sunk billions of Naira in Tinapa Project, a project of which he alone seems to understand in the whole in Cross River State because even Liyel Imoke the successor governor he installed abandoned it and successive governors followed suit. The buildings are still there wasting away and he, Donald Duke has not even been able to explain how to put the buildings to use as the one who conceived the project. All over the world, a massive project as Tinapa comes with a document that shows the plan, the phases, the objectives, cost/benefit analysis, opportunities it offers, scalability, how it will impact other sectors, etc. This helps everybody to buy into the project and successive governments would find it easy to continue or even improve upon. Tinapa looks now like Donald Duke's personal pet vanity project. Donald Duke should shut the f*ck up. |
Well done, Taiwo Oyedele. If you succeed in this hard complicated task, Nigerians will not forget. May God strengthen you. |
Leadership, among other things, is about solving problems. So, kudos to President Tinubu for resolving this diplomatic problem with UAE. Of course, the meeting held following initial behind-the-scene discussions between the two countries' officials. Recall that Festus Keyamo and other government officials were already in UAE days before Tinubu arrived. The facia con facia meeting between the two president was to formalize it. The behind-the-scene works continues until finer details are worked out. It must be admitted however that excitement got better of Nigerian side of the table but all the same it is a major economic/diplomatic breakthrough on an issue, which former President slept on for whatever reasons. |
UAE didn't need to issue any statement because to them it is no big deal as it is a resolution of routine diplomatic contention. However, it is a big diplomatic breakthrough for President Tinubu because Nigeria is at the receiving end and former President Buhari slept on it for whatever reasons. I think this is a positive for Tinubu's foreign relations policy. |
The only REAL public posturing Nigerians need from President Tinubu right now is his reforms, policies, programs and incentives to revitalize the economy. |
When I was growing up, any time accounting is mentioned what came to mind was Akintola Williams. His name was like synonym of accounting. Rest in peace, true professional. |
Okoroawusa:Sometimes, we agree to disagree. Incidentally, some people have said in my mentions that this is the first time I was making sense on NL. So... |
Throwing away electronic transmission of election results is taking one step forward and three steps backwards. No nation makes progress by this kind of negative movement. |
wasuka14:My comment is not about Peter Obi. It is about Nigeria. |
