Reno Omokri is a mere mortal who abandoned his wife and children in US to live with another wealthy woman in UK. Reno Omokri is your regular opportunist and sycophant who would betray for crumbs and who dumped his long-time benefactor Atiku and is now brown-nosing Tinubu . Like Judas Iscariot his senior brother, Reno Omokri will have his field day but will, done day, either repent or put rope round his own neck. Reno Omokri is morally bankrupt and spiritual incompetent and can NEVER tell me what to believe or not believe. I am proud to be a Christian. |
This post is too childish Even DJ Cuppy rang bell at an NYSE. ![]() https://www.premiumtimesng.com/entertainment/music/354529-dj-cuppy-rings-opening-bell-at-new-york-stock-exchange.html?tztc=1 |
BoldBrainz:Thanks bro for kind words but Nairaland operates on basis of anonymity and it has been so over the years. I would prefer it stays. |
I hate to be an alarmist or conspiracy theorist but if the people behind this whole Mohbad tragedy are 'members of the high table' then I am afraid that they will still use this autopsy report to turn this matter on its head. All they need to do is to get the autopsy report to read that at the point of his death, Mohbad has an incredibly high dose of illicit drugs in his system which likely reacted with the drug he was given at the hospital, leading to an immediate heart attack. Immediately this is released, they will use the usual social media influencers to shift the narrative from "justice for Mohbad" to why young artistes should stay away from drugs. There is a sense of dejavu here but we will remain positive as Mohbad's spirit continues to fight. |
So sad but at least at the end of the day, he will be given a decent burial. |
Mr. President, - Focusing on taxation without any clear plan to boost the productive capacities of existing businesses as well as create enabling environment for new businesses to create jobs is antithesis of economic growth. No economy grows on taxation alone. - Leave the pursuit of FDIs for now. Come home and rebuild the building blocks of the economy. - Quit wooing UAE like a beautiful bride. Come home and focus on wooing local investors to invest in sundry areas of the economy. - Forget the beautiful speech at UNGA. Come home and give beautiful economic roadmap. - Forget ringing bell at NASDAQ stock market. Come home to ring the bell of local industries and SMEs by carefully packed incentives and ease of doing business initiatives. - Run back back home and roll out your all-encompassing economic plan to revitalize the economy as contained in your manifesto. - Quit chasing shadows. Go after the substance for time is running out. - There is fire on mountain at home. Run home and quench it, my president. |
When light encounters the darkness, it exposes and disperses it. Naira Marley messed with the light. Shine on Imole! |
No Femi, you were not misquoted for eight years. It is in the nature of the job to sometimes overshoot the runway to make your boss look good or to make him happy. It is a difficult job all over the world. The good thing is that it is turn by turn. Ajuri Ngelale is now in the saddle. His first baptism of fire is "UAE sanctions have been lifted by immediate effect". More will certainly come. Enjoy your life out of office. |
President Tinubu do something fast to revitalize the economy. Roll out policies, programs and incentive packages to encourage SMEs and industrialization. The economy need to be production-driven than consumption-driven as it is presently. We need to deliberately export more than we import. |
Well, I must admit that the Tinubu we saw speaking at UNGA wasn't the same bla blu blu Bola Tinubu the Obi-dients painted for us before the elections. What happened? ![]() |
SmartPolician:Paul Kagame is not the only person that keep Rwandans together and guarantee development. He is like any other dictator in history and his excesses will unravel when he is gone. Kagame is no messiah but a man who like most African leaders is so much in love in power that he is scared of life without it. Rwandan without Kagame at this time will have a better and smoother sustainable developmental trajectory that comes with natural political stability into the future than artificially-stable Rwanda with Kagame's 4th term in office. All he needs to do at this time is to facilitate a constitution that deliberately engenders national unity with intentionally interests-balanced parliament and the hand over to another government to have it tested. You have the right to hold your opinion and I respect that. |
SmartPolician:Praise-singing, graveyard quietness and choreographed smiles are all deceitful hallmarks of dictatorship because behind the façade you see is an unhappy mentally-shackled people yearning for fresh air and freedom. Look, the disadvantage of what Paul Kagame is doing is that for several years, everything will be about him and revolve around him so much that there will be no solid succession plan in place and the political class and the citizens will have poor democracy learning curves. Yes, there are physical developments but developmental mentality will be missing among the civil servants and citizens. A dangerous lacuna is created and if Paul Kagame dropped dead today, everything he builds crumbles from infighting for power. It happened with Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Ivory Coast. It happened with Mohamed Siad Barre in Somalia. And if he succeeds in installing his son, the damage goes on and day of reckoning is merely postponed. |

Naira Marley's cup is filled up. He is about to lose the streets in Nigeria and I doubt if Peckam London is still an option. But you never know with unassuming human beings like Naira Marley. Underrating them is always their greatest advantage. |

Imole! The light shining even in the grave. |
With over 100 days in office, President Tinubu has not rolled out his policies, initiatives and incentive packages to revitalize the economy as well as encourage existing local investors as well as attract new investors, which will boost GDP, employment and generate taxes. Tinubu should note that at the end the day, local investors as owners of big and SMEs industries are the building blocks of any economy. Yes, FDIs are important but those foreign investors will judge our economy by how the local investors are treated by the government. Besides, while foreign investors will take profits out of Nigeria while local investors reinvests profits in our economy. Things are not looking inspiring at the moment. Pres. Tinubu need to rise above nepotism to headhunt for some young hothead economists and financial experts and place them under his office to serve as his thinktank in brainstorming on and generating policies, programs, reforms and incentives. We need practical ideas from thinking out of box to solve our problems here rather than some textbooks stuff. |
IMOLE no be small name. |
sweetgala:Yes, he was a permanent secretary but Obasanjo seconded him to INEC to simply coordinate rigging of election. I still stand by my earlier post. |
OmoFiditi:Not for the simple-minded. |
Congratulations, Kabiyesi-elect! Over years, whenever the aged, the high and the mighty including Baba Olusegun Obasanjo go to visit Obas in their palaces, they prostrate out of respect and reverence for the throne, its significance and authority as represented by the person on it. As an illustration, many citizens of Iwo kingdom will rather reject an offer to have a ordinary handshake with the Oluwo of Iwo. However they are constrained to prostrate before this 'gangster' as an Oba. On the other hand, it is only fitting that if a governor enters the venue of an official state function, the Obas need to stand out of respect and reverence for the post of Executive Governors, its significance and authority as represented by the person elected to occupy it. Legally, nobody becomes an Oba without the approval and a certificate signed by the governor, which is why the throne of Alaafin is currently vacant even when kingmakers had long done its job. Look, I stand by Obasanjo on this issue. Nonsense! |

Hakeen Baba Ahmed know nothing about politics to advise a more politically sagacious VP Shettima. It is about earning some income having been out of office for years and never about Nigeria. He also served Saraki as Senate President. |
Kutunban:If you insist, street boy. |
fortunez1:I agree. You run to fight another day and with his visibility and internet, he could have still made music and earn income from anywhere. |
