pembisco: Shatap ther! Allah is an idol,no bring dt satanic name here!I dont need to educate your type. When you are ready to follow your own religious dictates to love your neighbour as yourself (just as Islam preaches too, YES, it does), then ur brain will be open to knowledge on the issue of whether Allah is an idol, or an arabic word for the Almighty God. For now i see a highly bigoted hypocriti:cal fellow talking.. I wish u all the best. Read my last post b4 the one i quoted yours. |
pembisco: Amaechi! U ar an embecile nd a disgrace 2 xtianity! U betray ur felo xtians jst because wnt 2 clear d bush in ur political road! Nonsence! |
pembisco: Amaechi! U ar an embecile nd a disgrace 2 xtianity! U betray ur felo xtians jst because wnt 2 clear d bush in ur political road! Nonsence! For not supporting his action, I think you should look into the mirror to really see who the disgrace to xtianity is. Ask yourself this question, if Jesus Christ was alive, would he support Amaechi's action or not? |
maasoap: Product of a sick society. Just read your submission again and tell me that something is wrong with you. You keep on cheating Muslims and threatening them, and want them to be law abiding. I served in Bori town in Rivers State and as I am typing this, the community people have taken the Muslims to court over the issue of land upon which their mosque was built. they simply want to take the land back. And this is how it is in virtually the entire South South and South East. Sorry country with sorry people, from Boko guys to internet deluded with stunted way of reasoning.shey you see now? later som1 will come up and paint a picture of how religiously TOLERANT xtians are. The two religions preach tolerance, thats the simple truth. Contrary to what many believe, islam actually makes religious tolerance MANDATORY for every muslim. But like i've said before, most of us are hypocrites, if we all follow the dictates of our different religions to the letter, there wont be problems, bokoharam would have just been a pipe dream, killed right after it surfaces due our co-operation. Its still not too late. Its simple, There is unity in diversity. United we stand, divided we fall. In a part of the Qur'an, Allah says: "If Allah willed, He would have made you one nation (religion) but that He may test you in what He has given you. So strive (as in a race) in good deeds." My people, if you like keep hating on each other, na our good deeds go carry us enter paradise. Be pretending to be holy while casting aspersions on another's religion, Be twisting facts to suit selfish purposes, Be bombing churches so u can cause divison in the land, Be opening your mouth to say somebody MUST convert to Islam/christianity b4 he enters paradise, God is watching you, and is well acquainted with all that we do. |
chrisxxx: People do not read in between lines in replying speeches. Amaechi said Muslims in Rivers State should not be harassed. Yes because some southerners are also Muslims including Rivers people. Secondly, note that any Hausaman you see in the south is an enlightened one who does not support the dastardly act going on in the north. The Hausamen in the south, most, feel nigerian and sociable. Please and please leave them out of this palaver. Some are even ostracized because they are not in support of the crude and primordial actions of their kins.thank you jare. My brother, i tell you, even in the north, bokoharam isnt enjoying much support from the people contrary to what the media and the ineffective lousy SSS will have us believe. Even the muslims in the north are under seige. These guys dont respect muslims, dont respect the holy month of ramadan, as in they DONT GIVE A DAMN. The ONLY reason why they havent bombed mosques is simple for the unbiased and discerning : they simply want to pit muslims against xtians. Period!!! One would think that educated and exposed Nigerians could see through this thin smokescreen but no, the hatred for islam, hypocrisy and brain laziness has beclouded all reasoning. Even in the north, a lot of muslim families already have xtians in them, either thru marriage or conversion, and vice versa. How many ordinary people have been seen jubilating when a church was burnt, or seen declaring solidarity with bokoharam? Its funny how people still choose to believe them when they say they are fighting for islam & for islamzation of the country. Now they said GEJ should become a muslim AND resign and sm1 still believes such statement comes from a rational mind. The truth is gradually coming to light tho. Quote all the taken out of context verses in the Quran but remember that there's a verse that EXPLICITLY states that there is NO compulsion in religion. |
ebamma: im waiting for a muslim governor to do the sameContinue waiting. You can also say none of them has come out to denounce/speak against bokoharam. Na ur cup of tea. Even on NL here, on threads where muslim leaders condemn bokoharam and the violence, you find such threads mysteriously empty, nobody commenting, or a few sarcastic comments here and there. Then the next day, another thread will spring up asking why muslim leaders have not condemned bokoharam. Smh at the hypocrisy of soo many people. Its not hard to figure out why the country was soo screwe.d up even before the emergence of bokoharam. |
adorebee: Did you just hear yourself? The muslims have been law abiding?as if they ve another option.ofcourse they dont, cos they re in a Non- Islam/Southern territory. So u mean to tell us that the innocent soul burnt in the north were law defaulters?.Obviously, the Gov is doing what should be rightly done as a leader.Dont be surprised,he might be dangerous behind the Sceneso all muslims in the north are violent abi? Or violence is the exclusive preserve of a particular religion? Or all violent people are muslims? How do you reason? |
coolguyz: Reasons for sale -I'm in completer agreement especially with the last sentence. Almost all cars have issues if ypu google them up. Some are just more serious than others. |
Lollycutie: its obvious u neva studied d bible,u are jst a critic i wont b surprised 2 learn u wer paid to write dis cock and bull story.May God have mercy on ur blasphemious soul.Lol @ ''paid to write this''. but the post i quoted showcases the result of extensive study of the Bible dear! I think its YOU who hasnt studied the bible. Open the good book & read the verses quoted & come back to tell me if those contradictions are there or not. |
steffans: was at d garage repairing my Baby boy yesterday..i noticed 6 clean Camrys der 4 repairs...some wer nt even registered...smh 4 camrys...i beta go 4 Honda Anaconda aka Evil spirit....it hardly has issues..Honda anaconda not having issues?? Not too sure of that o. Read that d brake pads wear off easily, & then it seems the 2008, 2009, 2010 have low ground clearance compared to the camry. Tho it seems the car was raised a bit in the 2011, 2012 models. But happily tho, it seems Honda finally got the Accord gearbox right a bit ....from the 2006 upwards sef. |
Wizeboy: Try to check the meaning of ignorance in your dictionary to see that I am very correct to use that word for your comment. I use such comment based on the fact that you are quick to call the prophet of God (Muhammad) a terrorist and all such of bad name without giving cogent evidences. So, calling you ignorance of the issue does not mean violence and I have never abuse you in all the comment I have posted (try to cross-checked it again) but rather you have call Prophet Muhammed and Muslims so many names which I didnt reply you. So, please get that right.ITS OVER!!!! This has killed it. Can ANY christian in the world effectively dissect and trash all that is contained in this post? this should be enough to convert a person from xtianity. |
Alhamdulilah for the successful iftar. Many thanks to Majoroller for the wonderful hosting, Jarus the organizer & other able forumites who attended. It was fun finally getting to place faces against the usernames on here.lol. May Allah spare our lives to have many more of this. Amin |
I've noticed same too, but then i dont know, for some reason, i'm not worried.....coz i believe so much in Camry. Lol. Waiting to hear if there are any issues tho. The one that has been bugging me for a long time is 2006-2008 Passat & Jetta. At one point, the forum was flooded with these cars for sale at ridiculous(in my view) amounts, some going as low as 1.4, 1.5million...same as a toks 2003/04 corolla costs!! Though i read later that the FSI engines have issues, dont know how true that is as per user experience in Nigeria. Also, Honda Civic 2006-2008 as well. That one sef don flood dis forum tire. 1.2million, 1.3million!! This one too, heard/read one funny explanatn that the engine block cracks easily or smthn like that. (& well, it turns to paperweight at high speeds....typical of a japanese 1.8litre engine powered car tho) Corrolla naija used wey people dey find tire now isnt so common.lol |

BizBooks: Yes, indeed you're correct. I was referring to one of the cars you posted for sale. Kudos forThanks boss. True, The VIN is important o, & I'm glad Monitor 1 & Inspired try their best to enforce the rule in the autos section. Yeah, i think some accidented cars are well fixed too, a friend's dad has been using an accidented Honda Accord 2006 EX for d past 3 years now without any major issue. Initially tho, there used to be some weird sound from the engine, & d fuel consumption was terrible for a 2.4 litre 4 cylinder, but the faults were rectified soon after purchase. The man actually knew it was an accidented vehicle before buying it, & he got it about 500k cheaper than d market price then. Infact, the car is a beauty, with nav system, leather seats e.t.c, but its very obvious to a keen eye that at 3 of the cars airbags (driver, passenger, driver side airbags) have deployed before. The steering & d passenger airbag compartment has been replaced & is of a diff colour shade than the rest of the car, but how sure are we that they contain functionin airbags now? So, i guess accidented cars WITHOUT frame damage which are well fixed may not be so bad afterall. Emperoh: Nice one for owning up. . . i admire your courage and sincerity. Thanks for the complements Oga Emperoh, Yes, you are right, full disclosure is key like you said, so the potential buyer knows what he's getting into & can take extra special care (if necessary) of the car after purchase. |

BizBooks: According to conventional wisdom, 80% of cars brought into Nigeria are salvage orthe car in question ''the cleanest ever....'', that would be one of the 2 cars I advertised recently. I make bold to say I'm the culprit I noticed the car was likely accidented a few days ago when I looked physically at it & noticed something strange about the front bumper, like it had been replaced. & the funny thing is I'm not even exactly a middleman in the real sense. I simply help the man advertise his cars (he's a friend), clients call me, I refer them to him for negotiation & everything else, tho yeah, if a sale succeeds, i get settled with something, even though i'm not given to asking, especially when the initial price he wanted is close to, or the same as he actually got. I have other things that keep me busy, & pay me some small change. Lol I was to have advertised about 6 of his cars, the pics are still saved on my laptop, but i ended up posting just 2. Reason: I copied the VIN & decided to view the reports myself before advertising them, 3 of the 4 cars whose reports i ordered had suffered some damage, i was surprised coz sincerely, these cars are VERY clean in and out & they drive beautifully. Unfortunately, i hadn't checked the corolla's VIN before putting it up, hence i promptly supplied the number the moment Inspired asked for it. I hereby request that the thread be deleted, coz I 've always been against selling of salvaged vehicles & i will be the last person to sell one or consciously allow a buyer purchase one without him knowing its full history. Four people called me in respect of the car and the first thing i told them was to request for the carfax report and get back to me coz i was already sceptical. Wouldve requested it from Export1 myself but i don too disturb the guy with requests lately so i decided to chill a bit.lol I dont compromise QUALITY in anything I buy or sell because my integrity means a whole lot to me. Not to mention the fact that i've seen the benefits in the business i do on the side. When I have something to say, people listen, take me seriously & keep their faith in me. Once again, my apologies (if required) to the house, and Oga Inspired, please delete the thread. I havnt updated it in a week now. Advice: if a car looks tooo clean for its age and mileage, it could be a warning sign. Always request for a VIN check. Some salvaged cars may have been fixed properly, especially if d repairs were done there in the US, and there was no damage to the body frame but there's almost no way to be sure. Its better to be safe than sorry. |
Wizeboy: Walaykum Salam, i believe its WATBAS that first of all show his intention to host Mainland Edition since July 16 before you contact MAJOROLLER and inform this forum on July 21 (may be it skip Jarus mind before he made the pronouncement on Sunday).I totally second this post. & i support option 2. Next week co hosted by Watbas & Majoroller. |

afam4eva: And you know he's being witch-hunted, how?Lol. He was being sarcastic. Remember how people claimed Sanusi was after him, which was the 'reason' he was ousted, e.t.c. If Akingbola, Ibru & co were not booted out at that time, i'm almost sure these banks would have outrightly collapsed and several depositors (who were calling for Sanusi's head) will probably still be crying to the NDIC for help, whilst blaming the CBN for failing to rescue them before the rogue MDs ran the bank aground. |
hot n cold: Bro,I think a coup will do it.I don't think the people are aware how ugly things are.Nothing is working .At the rate we are going,Nigeria will be(God forbid)in rumbles by the time GEJ is "done" with us.The military seems politicized already, as the govt has been taking very good and special care of them.lol. but nothing is impossible. i just tire for this country and its leaders. i'm currently keeping faith in the house of reps though, lets see what September brings. |
Happy Birthday Mallam Sanusi. One of the public servants i respect in Nigeria. I do not agree with all your decisions and statements all the time, but I respect you, and your intelligence and brilliance is not in doubt. Though I believe you can serve this country better outside the CBN. Long life and many more wonderful years sir. |
We have brains, let us sit down and think. Pro-GEJ supporters, if you have nothing useful to drop (as is likely going to be the case), do our sensibilities a favour and just stay away, especially today where we have witnessed just how commited the FG via the AGF is, towards fighting corruption. @Topic, He was the Governor of Bayelsa state, he was acting President for a whole year, did you see any sign that this was a man that could take Nigeria to the 'promised land'? What achievements did he have to his name that warranted him being voted in as President in the first place? During the campaign, people just woke up one day to silly mantras like ''Vote GEJ, not PDP''. Isnt it obvious today how outrightly stup!d that statement is/was?? How many fresh vibrant blood did he inject into government, does his loyalty today not align more with his party than the people? Now, we are hearing excuses and more excuses. Right now, we are paying 97 naira per litre because of the excesses of some few billionaires in active connivance with the government we voted back into power, and these guys cannot be brought to book. I've always felt a revolution is impossible in this country, but at this rate, if the house of reps fail to impeach this man, the people may react seriously. Even the powers that are behind GEJ are seemingly subtly, almost openly, supporting his removal (recall the loud ovation that greeted Femi Gbaja's speech in the PDP DOMINATED house of reps)coz they know that if he's not gently eased out soon, and a revolution occurs, it'll cause bigger problems for them. & i can assure you that even 500 laptop squad will not be able to do jack coz the sh!t is almost hitting the fan If GEJ shapes up, no problem. He will have my support 100%, but unfortunately, past and present events dont show positive signs of that happening. To the staunch Pro-GEJ fans (paid or unpaid), you see, you can deceive many people, and deceive yourselves, by claiming Goodluck is on track, that he's the best thing to happen to this country since sliced bread e.t.c., but you can NEVER, and you will NEVER be able to stand truth on its head. & when the time comes, truth will prevail over falsehood. We cannot continue like this in this country, Nigerians, we have suffered enough, STOP CELEBRATING MEDIOCRITY, the country is over-blessed with resources, we deserve more, tell the President to EITHER SHAPE UP or SHIP OUT. We cannot be fools forever. *any insults, negative directed at this post will be gracefully ignored* Thank you. |
Yujin: There is nothing in common between light and darkness. The Bible admonishes the christians not to marry unbelievers(whomsoever does not believe that Jesus is the son of God and the saviour of the world). For no man is saved by his good works but is rather saved by the precious blood of Jesus. There is no iota of similarity between Christianity and Islam. You cant possibly believe there's no similiarity between Islam and xtianity. For starters, we both believe in God, (tho in diff ways), we both believe in the day of judgement, we both enjoin followers to do good & shun evil ( even tho many pastors & some imams too today preach the gospel of prosperity instead). Also, if biblical accounts are to be believed, the mode of dressing of women in xtianity & islam is VERY SIMILIAR. Check the picture of the Virgin Mary, the pictoral representations of Ruth, Sarah, Naomi & other women in the bible & compare them with an hijab wearing muslim woman. Believe it or not, I was raised a muslim from childhood, I'm still one today, i attended a fairly xtian school somewhere in Maryland. I used to score 50/50 in Scripture exams. My favourite book was the yellow hardcover ''My Book of Bible Stories''. I used to read the Book of Kings, Samuel & Chronicles in the Good News Bible for the many stories in them. I have several xtian friends today & i engage them regularly in religious discuss, usually stopping when it starts showing signs of leading to an argument. Saying there are no similiarities between islam & xtianity does indeed bring to question your knowledge of your own religion. No offence. If bokoharam was part of the islamic religion, why the heck would we be coming out to say it isnt so?? How many islamic scholars have come out to endorse the group's actions?? Its convenient to blame islam, & the BH sponsors know this, but are we to allow ourselves play to their gallery? ![]() People, UNITE, stop the hate and lets focus on the enemy (those who exploit religion and tribe to cause division among us). |
@Mac, sunday is better o! You dont want to run into crazy traffic on a saturday night. On sundays, the roads are generally ''freer'' ![]() We thank Allah for the successful hosting of the Island edition, I'm sorry i couldnt make it, though I have to admit a bit ashamedly that i was doubtful I would attend from the beginning. Around 7pm yesterday, i was just getting back to Ikeja from Ojo. however, inshaAllah, the mainland edition, I WOULD not miss. Venue & time pls. Those who attended yesterday's, please endeavour to come again for the mainland edition. & though the bokoharam topic was obviously well trashed yesterdy by the Ustaz (accordin to reports here), i fear we may still have to revisit the issue, in addition to the other topic of course. & lastly, please, brothers & sisters, we have been trying, but lets not relent. Let us continue to educate ourselves and other muslims & especially non muslims both off and on NL on the islam & terrorism issue. We should not keep silent (except when its most wise to do so) , especially in the office or our schools when the issue is being tabled for discussion. Thats a form of dawah also. & while doing this, let us refrain from insulting our educatees (yeah it could be hard sometimes, as some are very insultive & simply silly sometimes). We are ambassadors of Islam everywhere & anywhere we are & let us be mindful of this in our speech and actions especially. Nobody us perfect though, but may Allah help us. Amin. |
otosa: But why Boko Haram can not go to National House of Assembly or Aso(thief)instead of killing innocent citizens?Good question. Here's your answer: Boko haram are sponsored by politicians. They are tools for causing mayhem, inciting violence & settling political & probably even personal scores *check: the funny unexplainable murders lately* Isn't this becoming clear enough with succesive atttacks ![]() Attacking in the holy month of ramadan alone is enough proof that this guys are not muslims, or if they are, they have absolutely no idea of what islam is. This ramadan alone, a lot of lectures on boko haram, terrorism and islam are being organised by several islamic gatherings and as far as i can tell, among the many unifying points is this: ISLAM DOES NOT CONDONE OR ENDORSE TERRORISM. Its that simple. Jihad means struggle in the path of Allah, & the BEST FORM of Jihad is the internal struggle within your soul against sins. This is closely followed by charity, helping the needy, e.t.c. I tell you, to the best of my islamic knowledge, the closest people to the muslims are CHRISTIANS, yes, CHRISTIANS, so much so that Allah even permits muslims to marry the ''chaste ones'' among the xtian females, if they give their consent. The Holy Prophet Muhammad has been describes as having the best of character, infact, it was his good nature and disposition towards non muslims that drew SEVERAL of them into Islam, and Allah has consistently said that it is your good deeds that will take you to paradise, including your salat, your charity & your belief in Allah. Go to any mosque, when the name of Prophet Eesa (same as JESUS CHRIST) is mentioned, we MUST put ''PEACE BE UPON HIM'' after it. Is it possible that we are now commanded to kill the followers of this man we so much hold in high esteem ??My people, please please and please, shine your eyes, bokoharam is a tool to cause division in the land, and InshaAllah, they will fail. Some peeps are saying Nigeria should split, do they think that the south will PHYSICALLY break from the north on the map? as in will the north ''shift'' upwards on the map , Or a journey to a northern state which takes 10 hours will now become 24hours or dyu think the south will stop bringing meat and pepper from the north to feed you GET THIS INTO YOUR HEADS, splitting Nigeria WILL not stop bokoharam from bombing Lagos if they feel like (God forbid), and neither will it stop kidnapppers from operating in the south, and be rest assured our biggest problem which is corruption will increase. I've not mentioned the attendant loss of lives that will take place. Maybe you should ask those who suffered losses in the 1967-70 civil war if they wish to go through same again. Back to the issue, the bokoharam insurgency has gone too far, and i'm 100percent certain that muslims were killed in this attack, but even if they were pagans, as in people who curse Allah everyday, but didnt lay hands to attack the bombers, as in if this was an unprovoked attack (which it obviously was), then my people, ACCORDING TO ISLAMIC TENETS, those SUCIDE BOMBERS are on their way to HELL. *Frankly, I think those sucide bombers are usually drugged before bombs are strapped on them* If the fight was really about ''72 virgins'', or ''rewards in paradise'', Shekau & Abu Qaqa for don go blow themselves tey tey. That's just the truth. & a poster said that ''now the Sultan can wake up to his reponsibilities'' What responsibilities? Na Sultan be Commander in chief? Was it the Sultan that swore to protect the lives & properties of Nigerians?? Open ur eyes abeg. This weekend at a ramadan lecture i attended (on this same bh issue), the Imam said that part of the signs of the end time are that people will be twisting the scriptures for their own selfish and worldly gains. I think this iis happening now, BOTH in Islam AND christianity. My xtian & muslim brothers, let us be ONE, God created us in diff religions so there can be UNITY in our diversity. Peace. |
oyibomoses: i dont think you want to buy a car because you dont know what you are saying, how will you compare the price of a 2007 Q7 with Volks 2007 and Porsche 2007 even the 2004 for Porsche if i give you the price can you buy it not to talk of 2007 because you hear everybody calling 2007 you too want to buy 2007, i pity youI dont know why this post got me laffing soo hard.
