So I was listening to a talk show on a radio station yesterday, and the host brought up a topic narrating the ordeal one of her avid listener was currently going through.

So this man was happily married (or so he thought to this beautiful woman), and both of them harboured plans to japa due to the current economic woe affecting the shit hole. The plan was to send his woman over there first and then when she's found her feet, she was going to bring him over, yerr?

So my man started gathering funds and God being so faithful, he was able to get them and the day for her departure came, and he saw her off to a Lagos airport.

Whilst there she told him about her itinerary, which included taking a second flight from Abuja. She promised him she was going to keep communicating with him until it was time for the abuja flight to take off and she kept her word, yerr?

So all through the journey she kept calling him until she her flight for the UK took off and they could no longer reach each other. The plan was as soon as she'd settled down and she's got their SIM over there, she was gonna call him


All right.. she's left for the UK, so he thought.

Not so long after, the man got a call from an old friend of his who he hadn't heard from in over five years. They were very happy to hear from eachother. This friend of his was also based in the UK. He'd come down to Lagos to do his wedding.

He said at the wedding, mutual friends and colleagues were like why was the guy not invited and he told them he'd lost his number which was provided to him, hence how he managed to reach him.

He said after the wedding he'd to leave immediately cause of work. He'd been in Nigeria for a while. My guy was annoyed but understood. And he was like hope the woman he came to marry Is a beautiful woman? Because he knows his friends to have good taste in women, bla Di bla.

Ol' boy was overjoyed and quickly sent the pic of his new bride to our man. Baba confirmed that the lady is his current wife whom he send abroad.

Turns out that after the man saw her off to the airport, she sold her ticket...switched off her cell after a while and relocated to abuja where the wedding took place.

Now, we weren't told if she's currently abroad with her new husband or not.

My man called the OAP to ask her if she should just let the matter go like that or inform his friend.

If he does inform his friend, it might lead to disappointment and if he doesn't.. and the friend finds out from another person.. it could ruin.their friendship. He (the friend) might start to reason perhaps he and the said lady are cohorts and had this planned all along.

Well, this for me is another eye opener.. and it goes to show that even though you manage to put that ring on it, doesn't mean it's safe to lose yourself while trying to better the life of your significant other.


Hopefully people learn from this. The said lady thought she's smart and she played her game well. Hopefully she's not made it to the UK yet. That way she'd definitely losing on both ends.

Gambling is a very serious addiction and needs a drastic action before it can be stopped, grace of God is also required.

I stopped gambling about 3 months ago and every month, my fiancee request for my bank statement not only for the gambling but also as a check to my spending

Since we got married, everything about the upkeep, rents, bills, feeding, general upkeep. I mean everything is on me and he has refused to provide for us as he always claimed he doesn't have.
