@Daboomb, this is where we don't think things through sometimes, What about a colletive solar farm for a group of individauls or a solar array project for a block of Flats. High in acqusition but cheap on the long run. was even in Naija back in a while was invited to a discussion in Gbagada where some Landlord's were talking of a solar array farm for them , how feasible and at what cost, we have about 12hrs sunlight in Naija why not make use of it.
The today Technological advancement is there to be made use of not also ohing and haing how the oyinbo people do it. I agree due to its acqusition high cost it may seem daunting but if you calculate how much you will save in 20yrs and also not contributing to the burden of the Enviroment it is a win, win situation.(considering the Epilectic PHCN power supply in Nigeria now)
Batteries are the only weak point in a solar setup but with the high rate of Technological advancement, It is also been conquered,
Lifepo4 for, example the Tesla used batteries to name a few. with depth of discharge DoD up to 90% and nothing do the battery! still going on strong with 10years warranty
Articulate points bro,This idea will be possible in ESTATES the downside is the acquisition cost a very welcomed initiative for home owners within an estate to pull resources together to build solar farms to generate electricity and depend less on the national grid,if this can happen in the country all these DISCO,GENCOS will sit up as this will impact their bottom line which may lead to efficiency of the NATIONAL GRID

Absoluetly No Impact!

Just ensure that your generator is of equal aor higher capacity, than the Fast Charger/Setup you are using or charging.
You will notice this when you Generator starts 'screaming' above its normal self, when you connect or swith the charger on with Generator.

But nothing to worry about.

Great !

Daboomb:

There is a 'possible' misconception here, l think.

A million niara is about $2,700.

A Solar Inverter of such range- amount from Sunny Boy is about 9KW (9,000 Watts) and it is a GRID-TIE inverter.
You wont need that in your house if all you need just enough equipment to generte Power for your household usage.

'Grid-Tie' is when you generate enough energy with so much excess that you want toi "sell" the excess to the Utility company, by tieing your own excess generation, to the Public Utility company such that they pay you money for it in return (You are like PHCN, selling Power to the Public).

That Inverter is a special one and different from what the slef-service user need.

Most households dont use more than a 4-5KW Inverters and they are ordinary Inverters as opposed to Grid-Tie ones.

Let me also mention here that we can take advantage of other alternatives aside using Solar Panels.
For example, you can tie your inverter to PHCN if your area gets around 4hrs of elelctricity in 24-36hrs.
All you need is a Digital Fast Charger and you are good to go.

Batteries are actually the most important part of such alternative energy solutions but there are batteries that you can buy in Nigeria that are as good as those you buy in Europe or US (My Batteries are made in Germany but l bought them in Nigeria. Served me for over 4yrs now and l am sure l will draw at least another 4yrs from them...the Guarrantee was for 10yrs)

The problem most people have with batteries (when they say it does not serve them long enough), is over-drawing the batteries.
You need to ensure that your setup has an inbuilt "warning system" that alerts you once you draw your battery to critical level and at that point, you must either recharge it or shutdown.

How long it lasts (duration of operation) depends on what you load (instant Consumption) on it and the combined size/capacity of the batteries you coupled together.

There is a very good book which anyone can buy, read and become a 'champion' on Solar energy and installations. It is so simple that you will wonder why you have not read it before:
Solar Elelctricity Handbook by Micheal Boxwell (cant remember how much l bught it on Amazon, back then).

Buy it, read it and come back here to give testimony

Cost will depend on a few factors like:
What is the Capacity of say, each A.C you want to use and how many will be on, simultaneously
What other equipments will be 'on' concurrently with those A.C?

Basically, you need to do an "intant energy consumption' calculation that would tell you the maximum power you can draw from the setup at any time.
This is what is now used to determine the capacity of the Inverter, the Capacity/number of Baterries required, Number/Capacity of Panels (if Solar), capacity of Charge Controller, e.t.c.
Finally, how long you want it to operate for, at any time, is determined by the installed battery (storage) capacity.

But not to worry, you can start "small", and increase the capacity in small bits, as the Lord provides.
Start with a PHCN-charging Inverter type.
If you outlay Batteries at say 600K, other materials at 400K, you can get a system that will carry all your household equipments, (AC for just a few hours, if you want it to last long) for about 2days non-stop, no-charging.

Add Solar Panels afterwards, when your pocket gets bigger. (Some people l know cant use Solar because they dont have their own building so for such people, the PHCN-Charging option is their only solution and they make it work well for them!)

If anyone is serious about their intention, l recommend they get the book and do a little research.
Everything in that book is for beginners like me and you, in simplified English with very easy diagrams and calculation.

NB: An inverter is just an equipment that converts D.C current, to A.C current (or vice versa) and it doesnot have to be an expensive Sunny Boy.
There are cheaper but less aesthetic alternatives lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

Please explain the impact of charging your non solar inverter with generator in the absence of PHCN

@Op; what I'm going to say, might sound a bit harsh but bear with me; here we go. I really don’t know why you think that you can play with fire and not get burnt. You really think that this is a game right? The word NO has not been extinct from the dictionary. First things first; TRY AND SEVER THIS SUDDEN CLOSE BOND YOU HAVE DEVELOPED WITH THIS MARRIED WOMAN. You know why; SHE IS A MARRIED WOMAN AND HER CLOSENESS SHOULD BE WITH HER HUSBAND AND NOT YOU OR ANY OTHER MAN. SHE TOOK A MARITAL VOW; ALLOW HER TO KEEP HER MARITAL WOWS AS THEY WERE NOT TAKEN FOR THE FUN OF IT.

As it looks, it’s turning into something that you're now unable to handle effectively; hence your bringing it to NL. I don’t see anywhere in your post where you mentioned to her that when she’s coming to cook for you she should come with her husband. Nether did I see anywhere in your post where you said she should come with her husband when she is coming to jump on your bed. I can guarantee YOU that she would tell you no BECAUSE HER HUSBAND IS NOT AWARE OF HER ANTICS.

Your actions knowingly or unknowingly may lead to a wrong cause as she is not taking NO for an answer as asserted in your comment(s). I can guarantee you that the day her husband will find out this close friendship you are developing with his wife; it wouldn’t be something very palatable to him. Depending on the type of person her husband is, you don’t want to get yourself into trouble asin he can man-handle you for keeping a close bond with his wife.

I am going to state 2 CLEAR scenarios and please think about them carefully;

First scenario
If this were your wife in question, and you find out that she is keeping a close friendship with another man and that man is not you, how would you feel? Would you like it?

Second scenario
If it were your wife and she finds out that you are keeping a close friendship with another woman and that woman is not her how would she feel? Would she like it?

A married person just don’t wake up one morning and commits adultery, it all starts from somewhere which can be the “Hi I will like to be close friends with you” and because a lot of people lack self-control, they engage in acts contrary to the marital vows they have taken. Don’t put this woman in a situation where her husband begins to DOUBT what she says; neither let him begin harboring TRUST ISSUES with her all because you couldn’t put an end to this rigmarole scenario you are getting yourself into (no offense; and hope none taken) centering on the seriousness of the relationship you are allowing to develop with this married woman.

It’s imperative for one to learn to stay away from things that don’t belong to you as this woman is married and she belongs to another man and that man is NOT YOU. Note that this married woman’s husband can throw her out if he finds out that she cheated on him with you (you might say it won’t get to that stage (easier said than done) but it’s glaring to see that it is heading towards that direction) and if that happens, I doubt if you would suddenly pick her up and make her your wife (I may be right as well as wrong).

Finally, DON’T BE THE ONE TO BREAK ANOTHER PERSONS’ MARITAL UNION UP BECAUSE YOU COULDN’T SAY NO TO THE TEMPTATION THAT WAS PLACED IN FRONT OF YOU. You can easily block her phone calls and reduce your contact with her as this scenario is becoming unhealthy; but it’s obvious from your replies that you are enjoying the flirtatious situation occurring. DON'T SAY YOU WEREN'T WARNED.

I rest my case

Thanks for your contributions into this discourse ,in summary that boy is just stupid !!!

There is this very young and beautiful married woman. She told me she is 28 years. She's been pregnant once. I assisted her brother get a small job lately. Before then, anytime i see her on the road, we greet. If she wanted to buy something, I'll pay with a clean heart and walk away. Ever since then, she's shown me her appreciation in words. Somehow we started talking on whatsapp lately. She gave me her number.

But now, she's telling me that she prefers keeping guys as friends. In fact she has offered to come and cook for me today but I told her I am not around. I was very open to her that her being so close might tempt me to touch her that it's better she stays far from me or we talk whenever we see on the road. I told her this to scare her away from coming close but it's not working.

She says that me telling her that will not make her be free but she still insists that she'd come to my house. She said she'd like to be free with me, jumping on my bed and playing around but she just likes me as a friend.

Is it wrong to be a close friend with a married woman?
Please guys what do you think?

You see you are a funny guy, NO it's not wrong being a friend to married women, especially those that are below 30,have you heard this saying before "HE WHO RIDES ON THE TIGERS BACK WILL SOONER OR LATER FIND HIMSELF IN THE TIGERS MOUTH"

KiNdly share battery specification-volts etc, also these eight battery what wil the output yield be in terms of watts/KVA

This amount will build an Inverter System, with Solar Panels with enough capacity to power a Duplex with at least three AC's running continously, with other household appliances.

Why spend such money on a dangerous, noisy and unreliable alternative like Generator?,

Veey correct, but this generator can also serve as alternate power aource from solar in period of downtime that is if person get plenty money to spend
However solar power generation is a cleaner and safer alternative but my fear is that most of the so called expert/installer will just package substandard panels, batteries and inverter accessories for you and 3~6 months down the line you will be full of regrets
If me I need to upgrade to solar I wouls source from US/UK and do the installation
If you are not resolute tge installer will come up with stories of what you bought not being compliant with our weather and bla bla bla.
But if you research on solar energy you will learn a lot,do you know arrangemment of panels and batteries(series/parallel) determines the output capacity of your solar system

Standing by the roadside with the placard displaying her personal details, including phone number and photos of children she had in past relationships, the bold lady said she's ready to be a Godfearing wife to any potential husband who must be a white man.

Thank you for the submission bros..However I am not in anyway discrediting he's product..However I am just laying out the fact..

Note..I am not a house builder nor contractor..I am currently building my own house so I am speaking from experience..When I wanted to do the paraphet I was advised to go for situ..Situ is built, not moulded like the other one and fixed..

The services of welders, carpenter and the bricklayer where employed..I spent roughly less than 700K even though I had some other materials on ground which made it cheaper..

You can read reviews online and you will know better between the two..I am saying with all sense of truthfulness that situ is better..Long lasting,safer,durable..The other one is just cheaper than situ but not better..

Doing parapet is already for people who wants their building to look better and can stand the test of time against rains and storms..

There is this saying that it's the rich that do paraphet..lol..Maybe it is,cos the money i used to do the paraphet is more than the money for the roofing..I mean the woodwork..Word work is about 550K. inclusive of the woods, nails carpentry charge as I was charged 110 by the carpenter...so if you want to do paraphet kuku do the one that might be a little bit expensive but it's more better..If you don't want to do it,Don't do it and proceed to roofing than doing something which to me won't stand the test of time..

I would attach pictures of mine later in the day..

My little submission

Bros,

Why I am pained is the way you went about the criticism, in all sincerity you may not intend to tarnish the guys reputation but your comments speaks otherwise.from inception teewhy2 was marketing this polysterenparapet specifcally for those building in swampy area and those whose roof load may have impact on the soil structure with intention do concrete parapet,in order to reduce the load he advised/opined that it's better to use polysterenparapet to reduce the Load on the building to forestall future build tilting or sinking.

Any way congrats for your new building God provide for you to complete it good time
