See Cyber bullying of the highest order ![]() But where is the Chinedu? You don run baa? Nigerians no get joy - see attacks front and back. My guy quietly recoiled to his shell ![]() |
Kai, the guy resemble orangutan or any member of the primate family walaahi |
Badgers14:I am surprised! Beautiful carpet grasses hides the beauty of house? Is it concrete that shows the beauty? Nothing beats a well maintained lawn and flower plants in any build environment. Over "concretization" of build surroundings in Nigeria is making it seems normal. Anyway, every mallam to his own kettle. Green scenery anytime, any day for me. |
Nigerian billionaires and charity are like parallel lines. They can never meet. They hardly commits their fortune to charity cause. Forget these foundation you hear, giving peanuts sometimes. American billionaires are known for charity and that's why we have a lot of charities and donors in US. |
mufutau55:Oh really. Neither am I an instagramer too My top three social media in no particular order remains Linkedln, whatsapp and Nairaland. Occasionally visits FB to check out on families. |
Badgers14:How? Snakes or what? Just maintain it. You will be fine. |
BrabusNG:The guy seems to have disappeared. I don't see his thread again. You would love that type of architecture when modified to the present like the Windsor Castle in England. There is a hotel being built in PH with that type of architecture. Gothic cathedral design with gigantic corinthian pillars. May be only royals and men of Noble birth will be visiting the hotel. It looks so magnificent and imposing. |
I knew I would see a pot-belly Lebanese man as a contractor before opening this thread- these guys are cashing out on Nigeria big time. But must all these politicians build an airport? what is the economic benefit to the state? I see all these as white elephant projects. How many planes will be landing in Abakiliki? |
Xavie:Surprising, they participate actively in sporting event in their school. The last inter house sports held in the school showed their running skills, especially my daughter with her lanky legs. My son is showing a very good promise in Bale dancing but I wouldn't want that. I will prefer to enroll them in martials arts/judo or taekwondo. Thanks for your advice. COVID-19 has put everything on hold |
Coder2Client:The stupid and ignorant Christians would come now to "praise" God for his mercies on Israel. My brother, Israel is a racist nation. They don't care if you are a Christian. I don't understand Nigerian Christians and their obsession with any thing Israel. The Israel you see now is not the same as the Israel of the old. That's why I hate part of my church doctrine during the Lenten period, when a time is dedicated to pray for Israel for being the first to hear and receive the word of God. Is that the reason to pray for them? Why not pray for Nigeria? |
Another thread to bash Nigeria. I agreed with you Op. People see some of us that have decided to stay as very insane. I had my kids in US and the person my wife stayed with in US havE been asking us the same question: What are you people still doing in Nigeria? Me and my wife are not the abroad-living type. I told her since I have worked hard to give double citizenship to my kids, there is no need for me to move and start life afresh. Let me shock you. Do you know that 23 of my former colleagues have all relocated to Canada. I am sure COVID-19 is delaying some from making this move. These people that are moving are well to do people, earning well. It shows the hopelessness of the country. People move, leaving their high paying job mostly because of their kids. They want their kids to have better opportunity in future. The working class that are moving are not sure if there kids would be lucky as them. Secondly, people move because of insecurity and other social upheavals in Nigeria. It is not that l like the status quo here. I still like my freedom, the prospect of growth, my extended family and the possibility of being "king" in my own jungle . Probably, if I didn't have my kids abroad, I would have considered the migration route just because of them. But for now, I dey kampe here ![]() |
PuZZyNegro:This is a typical Victorian castle. Very common in England/Ireland and other parts of Europe. It is not a rocket science. The issue will be on the landscaping as landscape architecture is a scarce profession in Nigeria. But I think if well motivated, Brabus or Skimanski may make it happen. The carpet grass on the walls are easily found here as I planted it near my fence wall and they are circulating already. Though It does take time to cover the whole area. |
Trust me, the church will soon full. Hustlers will locate the church sharply. Any thing started by the rich or famous hardly goes under. |
The far right party, Alternative for Germany (AFD) is coming after him. I hope they will allow him to work without attacking every of his move. It isn't easy being a black man in Germany |
The train will be an easy target as security is very poor on the route - train route are always isolated and most times moves alone. What it takes is for armed group to lay siege. I will even prefer going by road as you will get to see police and security people patrolling the road to going by train that moves through an abandoned swath of land without human being living by incase if something happens. |
Nawao, so Igbere TV follow the monitor BBNaija? ![]() |
samwillyco1:Honestly, I wished I could help at this time. I am an independent consultant and move around seeking for opportunities and clients. However, if there is anything, I will always assist. The job I mentioned in the North Central is still a consultancy work. I was asked to go there by the NGO and carry out an evaluation which I am not certain if I could go and do. Though I need the money but security is paramount to me. |
nengibo:You didn't read well. If you did, you would have understood what I typed. The company employed graduates from the community. Most of the lower staff are also from the community. But the youth leaders won't hear these. They want their own clique or members to be employed and given contracts that they are not qualified to do. Who does that? |
These kind of news always makes me fear certain aspect of my job. I am scheduled to be in one state in the North central region to carry out an assessment and outcome evaluation for an NGO as a consultant. They do provide us with MOPOL and escort but in this situation, escorts are usually incapable of stopping these kind of banditry attacks. |
Rivers state has the highest number of "lazy" youths. Everything in that state is all about youth this, youth that. The protest happened because the leadership of the youth was part of those sacked. It is not that they were doing anything for Shell, yet they were being paid as contract workers. My client in Onne faces the same thing. Community youth leaders bringing list of grossly unqualified touts to be employed even when the company informed them that certain number of graduates from the community have been employed but the youths would still insists on imposing their people on the company. Today, the company have shut down their administrative and executive office in PH and moved to Lekki phase two. Only the technical staff servicing clients are left in PH. |
This is why it is sometimes good to maintain your cool even under serious provocation especially in Nigeria. We see these kind of things at the ATM, filling station, supermarkets or places where staying on a queue is necessary. Being cool and patient doesn't mean you are weak. It is just to avoid trouble. Even my wife sometimes accuses me of being too soft and weak in matters like this, not fighting for your right. My brother, if you could let go sometimes, please do. Patience is a virtue indeed. Don't try to prove anything to anybody, including your friends and spouses. |
reccy:You dey mind all these ignorant mofos praising mediocrity. We don't have any standard city in Nigeria. Check out how houses are built in Europe with built areas properly marked. See buildings in that pics facing different directions, different designs, everybody doing his thing as he wishes. Overseas, you must follow sequence so that buildings are properly aligned. |
COMPAQ:Well said! It pains me when I see the behavior of average Nigerian. Go to where we live, people dump refuse any house and throw things out from their windows and cars. Just imagine. We are faced with a whole of issues in this country aside the obvious economic issues. My brother, you need to pay a visit to a fellow African country of Namibia. The Capital city Windhoek was a marvel city to me and I started wondering why we are the way we are in Nigeria. The order and discipline I saw there was second to non and do you know what: They are poor but the government is well and alive to their responsibilities. Even the areas inhabited by the poor still had access and neat street with light. You could see well paved pedestrian walkways and flower pots in those lower income areas. |
Rosella25:E be like na only my wife be him fan. ![]() |
This story is as fake as the OP - I am sure he/she is somewhere taking his/her gogoro and be reading the rubbish being typed here. A whole European based company, coming down so low on the altar of religion like a typical Nigerian? It is easier for me to believe that Buhari will make N1=$ than this rubbish the stupid OP typed here just for attention |
My people, work harder so that your children do not near the gate of any Nigerian University. As for me, the project is on course and I am doing everything possible to realize that dream for them. Our government and those in power have all left us behind to rot and kill ourselves. Their children are in Universities abroad, spending our money. I pity the poor masses. However, all blames should not go to the government alone. Nigerian people are the worst when it comes to cleanliness and maintenance. We lack maintenance culture. Even if you build a world class hostel there, come in years time, you will be shocked by the level of degradation. Students in Nigerian universities are one of the worst indiscipline, forming G-guys and hardman and not maintaining decency and decorum. |
So na woman follow born this one and they did child dedication when he was born and celebrated with family for his arrival Should parents or the society be held responsible for the waywardness of their children? |
franchasng:I wished they could listen to this sermon. Youths have been brainwashed by the SARS and EFCC media . You could still make it while young. You mentioned different scenario that could kill a young rich and enterprising youth. This type of thing is common in Igbo land among successful youths. Overzealousness and eagerness to show wealth. I remember one in 2005. The guy was in Kano doing his business. Luckily, he came in contact with a Chinese that started supplying excess brocade and satin materials to him to sell. All of a sudden, the guy hammered and bought the latest Benz, cant remember the brand. He travelled to his village in Enugu during charismas and was dashing money any how. On his return back to Kano as he drove , he had an accident with his fiancé. He died but the Lady survived. It was not a yahoo boy or ritualism, it was over speeding as the fiancée narrated near death scenarios they had on the road before the final one that claimed his life. Speed kills. |
This one thing about Christianity. Despite Daddy Freeze's attack on pastors and some Christians, nobody is interested in taking his life. Freeze would walk on the street and nobody will physically attack him for all the insults he heaps on pastors and churches. |
What happens to VCs after leaving office? I don't know why most of them don't always go back to teaching and research. They will just retire home to chop their loot and wait for political appointments. My former VC in UK finished his tenure and continued with his research work in the University, supervising mainly Ph.D students. |
Bro, na your village, Ohaozara for Ebonyi state you go soon find yourself. Una wey be umuboyi no dey hear word. Utilize the opportunity you have with your Oga and learn your trade very well to get set for the challenges ahead and you are here fantasizing about her daughter. |
Even tribalists and ethnic apologists are here criticing the employer. My brother, if you are an entrepreneur or a successful businessman and wants to take your business to the next level, please hire a shrewd Indian man. I bet you, he would cut down your cost and position your business to the next level. However, you have to give him the right to hire and fire but rest assured that he would deliver. While I was in the banking sector, we did an advert for a job meant for only Indians. We wanted to on-board an Indian that would help us penetrate the vast Indian owned businesses in Nigeria. So nothing wrong with the advert abeg. |
