Foreign AffairsRe: Donald And Melania Trump Test Positive For COVID-19 by Focusmind: 7:06am On Oct 02, 2020
Trump is smart and a strategist. He would rather allow his opponent guessing on his next strategy. My brother, the COVID thing is a hoax. He is not infected

He would never visit any hospital like the UK prime minister did neither would he give any status of progress of his treatment. He would just announced that both of them have fully recovered two days to the election.
Give it to him!

Maybe tomorrow, heavy duty trucks might start coming into my compound. grin grin Before then, let me do everything I can do now that I’m still able to.
But I live very close to an area where limestone is blasted almost twice a week and I felt I should do everything and anything to make my project maintenance free.
Some years ago, I heard a rumour that Calabar - Lagos railroad will pass through my area. I don’t want to wait till that time to do the right thing.

So if I may ask my honourable colleague of structural engineer, is there any problem with using that amount of concrete for gate pillars and beam?

I saw this type of beam (picture below) and I knew that’s definitely not what I wanted.

____
By the way we didn’t use gravel for the mix sir.
Chairman, can I see the full picture of that black gate? I am not interested in the beam and pillar mixture argument. grin The gate itself caught my attention.

If you want to make it private, please send to intldevconsultant@gmail.com

They will go to far flunked villages in Enugu and Ebonyi and bring under aged girls to maltreat them. Very common in Anambra. The way newly married and even older women treats their maids, you will weep. Some of them are even here reading this.

I agree on this school of thought: Igbo ladies are known to treat other children unjustly and jealousy is in their blood.

Sharp guy! see the cars parked at the other end with car shade/port. For those in Lagos, that place/building where the photo was taken is in lekki phase 1 after Forte oil filling station. They sell exotic tokunbo and new cars there. I am surprised that people didn't flag this fakeness including those living in Lagos

To be a celebrity and continue to trend, you need to package yourself

I trust Access bank to recover the huge bad debt that crippled Diamond Bank. Risk management in Diamond bank was weak. Their recovery team was also weak and there were a lot of insider related dealings in the approval of SME loans in the bank

Hebert Wigwe and Aig Imoukade of Access bank , the current owners and acquirers of Diamond Bank are cowboys and you cant take their money and go free. They sure know how to follow up on debtors. It is not that Access doesn't have bad debtors. Their monitoring and recovery system is far more effective than Diamond Bank.

Those who defend politicians, help them rig elections as thugs, and insult themselves all day with arguments will never be granted access to this wedding. They can only borrow data to see the invitation card online. Congrats to the couple cos Dubai awaits you guys, while those who defend your parents' detrimental actions to Nigeria are still praying that it should rain so they can fetch drinking water.
Men, I cant stop laughing on this your post with the picture of that man wey life don tire. Nigerian youths, see una life

keep abusing yourself because of Tinubu, IPOB, Buhari, Wike, PDP, APC, Igbo Amaka, Yoruba Muslim, Aboki etc

These men are balling hard behind your back. See Ribadu that finished Atiku, calling him the most corrupt because OBJ was using him to attack Atiku.

Yorubas exposure and level of education makes religion a non issue in family settings. I like their liberal nature.

Parents will be Muslim and some of their kids will be Christians and vice versa. This is something the North and whole Nigeria should emulate. Religious tolerance

They should focus also on finishing the building with fine aesthetics. We are used to ugly looking gigantic buildings in Nigeria without adequate care for long term maintenance.

Landscape architecture is not something Nigerian builders takes into account in building. They won't consider grassing the compound, putting walkways and trees. Just build and disappear and the surroundings will be littered with planks, left over sand and stones, un tarred compound and improper landscaping.

I salute you for the choice of stairs hardware. I totally detest the chrome stuff that has become popular here.

Good luck on your project.
I always comment whenever what I like is mentioned. That chrome is a no go area for me. We should be creative with other things apart from the usual ones being used or done. The staircase design here is dope.

If wrought iron proves expensive to be used for my staircase, I use hard wood. Chrome or any shiny metal is a no go area.

You see this life, before you give birth ensure you are financially capable to take care of that child, the economy is very hard, i see no reason y a salary earner will give birth to more than 4 children, if God bless your hustle, e no matter how u get money reach no born pass 3, use the remaining energy secure their future
Those this advise is meant for are not here. That's always my worry. Poor people in Nigeria breeds like rabbit. I see them plenty for my area. You just have to pity their kids.
CrimeRe: Woman Chops Off Her Niece's Finger In Onitsha (Photos) by Focusmind: 1:15pm On Sep 25, 2020
Poor people should stop giving out their kids to fellow poor people

Those in the village always think that everybody in the city is well off. That's the impression village people always have. In that instance, they hand over their underage kids to relatives living in the city but still struggling. The woman in the house will then vent her frustration on the innocent kids.

Some kids have been so traumatized that the trauma will live with them for the rest of their lives. There are some kids you will see in Lagos, your mind will tell you that this kid is not living with his or her parents. There was one mama put I normally eat nice red-hot jollof rice. Sometimes, if you see the way she shouts and abuse a girl of 11 years that helps attend to customers, you would be shocked. I was thinking that the girl was her daughter till the girl told me otherwise. I cautioned the woman and she took offence. I immediately stopped eating there even though the aroma of the jollof rice could always be tempting.

I have a very stupid friend from Delta state that was fiercely defending Ibori. He is an Urhobo man like Ibori and if you hear his basis of defence, you will pity the youths of this country and the way they reason.

Irrespective of the fact that he stole all these money being mentioned, Ibori built this, built that. My brother, whose money was used to build those things? Were they not Delta state govt money?

Bayelsa and corruption. That state have been raped by successive administration.

Niger-delta politics is one of the most corrupt in the country. The youths there hardly ask questions because they are easily bought.

Come to Rivers state, it is all about youth this, youth that. Everybody is forming youth association just to corner their own money from corrupt government.

Hello, please show more pictures of that skirting board you have there. I like it more than using tiles for skirting. It seems using skirting boards is more expensive than tiles but it brings out finer details and more beautiful than using tiles.

Almost all builds in Nigeria uses same floor tiles for their skirting. I like the white board skirting thing more than tiles.
CareerRe: Engineering Graduates, What Is Your Advice To Undergraduates? by Focusmind: 10:54pm On Sep 20, 2020
tensazangetsu20:
Best comment ever. Honestly computer science and medicine are the only viable degrees now. With a degree in computer science and solid programming skills, you can work for companies abroad from Nigeria. You can further your education, you can freelance. You can create your own tech startup. Honestly the opportunities are immense. Medicine is also very good. I won't advise anyone to study anything outside of these two things. A lot of people will say oh you don't need a computer science degree to learn programming. Yes this Is true but be prepared to self teach yourself computer science fundamentals as they are key to passing programming interviews. You think aptitude tests are hard. Wait until you get two medium leetcoce questions and one hard question to be solved within 30 minutes. A computer science degree takes you through the whole fundamentals of computer science data structures and systems design and it also gives you advanced domain knowledge of things in the subject. The field of computer science is so damn vast aside web development which is the most popular field out there, there's billions of jobs for embedded software engineers, cloud engineers, cybersecurity analyst, software testers, technical support engineers. The list is endless.

Another thing to note is that IT certifications are so damn cheap. Amazon web services certification which is so damn widely respected and in demand everywhere is just 300 dollars. A diligent person can self study and acquire this certificates. It's unlike fields like mechanical engineering and co where a certification can cost upward of 5000 USD with no assurance of any job after.
You said it well. Computer and IT are the future. Add data science, statistics, maths. Make first-class and source for scholarship abroad. Nigeria is fast becoming a grave yard of dreams.
