Like I said, women are capable of rape. But published research shows overwhelmingly that men are the primary perpetrators of rape. You *feeling* something different doesn't make it fact.

Until you fund some research of your own, you'll never be able to disprove this.

I hope you recover from the ordeal you suffered. Maybe get some counselling and try to press charges? Make sure you have a good support network.

Correct. But in the context of the Op, I think I have given good advice. Were it a guy asking, I wiuld have reworded and it would have been what you wrote above.

She wants to date him and there has been no conversation. It seems like she is naive to dating and scared of asking him for fear of looking stupid in front of a guy she really likes. So she needs to ask, and avoid the risk of being hurt.

If he was so concerned about being hurt, he would have officially asked her out at the beginning.

Where I'm from, men generally take the lead for asling out. It's not right, but that's what happens. It's also common for women to make assumptions about men they've had lots of contact with - then they get hurt because they didn't make anything official. She just made assumptions with no talking or asking.

Ask him before investing anything further is what I'll advise.

I believe the life of a woman - a life that has been established and lived - is more important amd valuabe than the life of a *potential* baby.

I don't believe a woman should be forced to give birth against her will. I don't believe forcing someone into motherhood is right, it has negative effects for the mother and child - depression, neglect, poverty and so on.

Abortion is also helpful to those who have medical complications and possibly die due to pregnancy, or when the foetus is known to be severely disabled or diseased (like having Tay-Sachs disease).

I wasn't aborted, so moot point.

You may be interested to know that a large number of pregnancies are spontaneously aborted anyway due to the internal processes of a woman's body. The woman doesn't even know she's pregnant - even though an egg has been fertilized, she has a very early miscarriage.

If you don't like abortion, that's fine. Don't have one. But don't attempt to tell other people what to do with their bodies, especially women, because you have no idea what it's like to be a woman.

Studying Shakespeare allows you to learn how subtle and emotive the English langauge is. Maybe you could study that, and Noam Chomsky's assertions of English linguistics. Continuance etc.

English is a very subtle language. There are lots of words with synonyms that have subtleties of meaning, it's not black and white like German.
