Let me tell you what I do to my sisters'/brothers' children and extended family members

1. Give them a target of 9A1 in Waec/GCE/NECO
2. Give them a target of 300 and above in Jamb
3. Get them all the material they need to achieve 1 and 2. I mean, all. Including private home teachers for nearly each subject. These teachers are master;s degree holders themselves. I.e. master's degree holder in biology will come home and teach the student biology, etc

If they meet both targets

1. They choose anywhere in the world they want to go for holiday
2. They choose any reasonable gift they want
3. The teachers that made the success happen get a bonus

This way, the teachers are super motivated, the students are super motivated and the spirit is high.

The result: Even if the students don't meet these outstandingly high targets, i have come to realize that they still do very well and get results that everyone can be proud of.

In this life, motivation is key. I know some of us have financial constraints, but there are always different creative ways of motivating people...Motivation is key!
