One of the reasons is that of all the candidates that contested, the candidate with the lowest number of fans was Atiku. Any other candidate (in PDP primary election)would have easily defeated Buhari. Atiku was not new to the Villa and there is nothing he has to offer. Most people just decided since the two parties decided to present useless candidates, they simply chose the lesser evil. which is allow Buhari finish his 4 years and hope after that a better candidate would emerge.
