u def sound double minded. U're not sure if yu shd go the God route or settle for arranged marriage (in 2013!) or have sex or do drugs whilst enjoyin yourself cos there is no such thing as "the ONE".

God says You'll find me when You seek me with all yr heart. It's a heart thing and that's what will birth the connection. honestly, think u're so distracted. Fasting while cool is not a substitute for spiritual principles. Pray till you hear God's voice.

n bout the waiting, how r u sure that if yu wait for 6 mths, u'll not meet the ONE? #positivethinking

Family › Re: How Much Should A Potential Nigerian Husband Earn? by Gloriagee(f): 5:46pm On Oct 24, 2013
@helpee - u def need financial discipline. You have to come up with a concrete plan/ budget and stick to it. This works for me. When I have to spend any money not budgeted for, I try to track it so I can tell what I'm doing with my funds. Also, you can try investing in a capital project so that ur money is def going into an asset, instead of on 'enjoyment'.

Yu can also invest in treasury bills in Nig, ensure that accts that have the bulk of yr funds are not linked to atms and this shd curb yr POS purchases.

I've been known to print my statement to audit/ track my withdrawals and usually end up with a sad face embarassed

Family › Re: For Abused Wives, Girlfriends & Men!!! by Gloriagee(f):
i know it's his loss but it still hurts like hell. It still feels so raw n can't say a lot but some of the stuff include expecting you to be at his beck and call, complaining bout everythin under the sun, yu can't miss his phone calls or he'd ignore yu for ages. I literally turned to a zombie n started breakin plates and evn stayin awake all nite. Everybody said/ says he's a nice guy n I'm really quite eccentric, so i started trying to act exactly the way he wanted me to act/ sound etc.
Family › Re: For Abused Wives, Girlfriends & Men!!! by Gloriagee(f): 5:51pm On Sep 25, 2013
I just got off an emotionally abusive relationship and even though I know it was for the best...I've been crying like forever. I couldn't even eat n have just been existing. I think what happens is that the abuser makes you dependent on him and then starts withdrawing. So, yu start to think it's yr fault or maybe the abuser has found out smthg bout yu that put you off. Somehow, yu start exerting yrself to be back in his gd books. N it don't av nothing to do with self reliance at times. I'm v. self reliant and have always paid my bills.

My sis/ friends keep assuring me, it's not my fault but I keep feeling I should have tried harder. Kai, abuse is horrible!

THIS

Mai pride: Its Not abt being in a relatnship, engaged or married, its abt being SECURED, HAPPY, SAFE, RELIEVED and FEELING GOOD. Its abt a peaceful state of mind, sleeping at night without the fear of losing what you've got.... Its abt feeling loved, respected, understood, cared for and appreciated. And the ONLY person who can give you all ds is your self.
STAY STRONG AND FIGHT FOR YOUR LIFE. kiss

Agree completely with you. N if this wedding is modest to use ur words, please can this be the new standard for subsequent weddings?

Searching for a Deeper Life brotongue

OlowoTee: No, John is human. His father's righteousness wouldn't speak for him. And, until he repents, he is no different from every other church goers who do not have personal relationship with Christ.

I married in the Church and would never regret doing so...because my conviction isn't based on Church policies but Bible doctrines.

Really, it's understandable that to whom much is given much is expected, but Pastor Kumuyi cannot force his sons to be like him, right. At 72years old, he has lived an examplary life of Christ.. He has played his part and still giving his all. I would always RESPECT him as a Father and Mentor!

Everyone would definitely give account of his/her life to God. Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Esin baba ko le gboomo la. smiley I wish I could translate this now..somebody help me cheesy

And if I may add, that wedding was modest. smiley

Romance › Re: ? by Gloriagee(f):
Unfortunately, the reason why it's called a RELATIONSHIP is that it has to be between two people. For you to relate, there must be someone to relate with. Can't mention how many 'I' in your post - I love(d) him so much etc.

He cheated on you and you want to apologize. My dear, that's like giving him a licence to cheat on you eva.
He's not even sorry yet u want him back. If you missed the signs, He's Just not that into You and yes, you can move on.

There's life after the end of a one sided relationship.
Romance › Re: \ by Gloriagee(f): 11:56am On Apr 17, 2013
Targets r enuf to make anyone dread going to work. IMO, he doesn't necessarily hav to leave the country to get job satisfaction.

A number of oda options exist - he could still do finance functions but in anoda industry. Say for instance, Chevron was in the mkt for a Fin analyst, recently. MTN for some Treasury functions, too. Word of mouth works perfectly fine. Let his friends/ mentors know he's interested in changing jobs.

Depending on his age, he can also switch to working with one of the big 4 accounting firms. Pay might not be attractive initially but he builds experience and can always move later. He can also go the Grad Trainee Route with Oando/ Sahara.

I'd say he chins up n looks at the big pix. Cheers!
