I'm in my 4th year in the university. There is this girl I loved. We had sex a couple times, exchanged "I love you" and all that romantic stuff, but when I asked her out she claimed she didn't want a relationship, that she isn't in the right place emotionally. I couldn't pick her call. Next day she called me and I didn't pick cos I was busy. Today I decided to call her and she immediately started complaining about me ignoring her and why I didn't call back. I apologized and said I was busy. Next thing she says she is moving to my lodge that she's tired of her own lodge. She had even spoken to the landlord and make plans to pay rent.

I find this very annoying. Her staying in my lodge makes things very weird. I don't love her anymore but I still feel something for her and we have a sexual history together. I can't be able to have a girlfriend comfortably with her around. I'm thinking of talking to my landlord to decline her request. There are lots of good lodges around school why my lodge? Good afternoon comrades. Please, forgive me if I am in the wrong section.

I made an Erroneous Transfer on the 6th of January from my Gtbank account to another Gtbank account. I went to the bank to complain and I was given a form to fill. Infact, I was told the account has been blocked so there's no way the owner can withdraw the money. I was expecting the customer care official to move my money back since it has been verified that I did the transfer truely.

The funniest reply I got was that I should go and pray to God to touch the owner of the account. ABEG, WETIN CONCERN GOD with transfer? Please, any idea how I can get my money back?. Your advice will be appreciated. It's just 30k

You may have put that man in a precarious position and yet come hear to complain. There are many prompts when trying to transfer so as to ensure your are transferring the right amount and to the right person but Nigerians are too careless.

Two possible scenarios are that in one instance the recipient may not have had anything in his account prior to that transaction. Suddenly he received a miracle alert of 30k, the devil will whisper to his ears to withdraw sharp sharp. On the other hand, the recipient may be in a remote location where access to banks is limited. He may have to cover quite a distance to visit the bank, so it might not be a priority move for him at the moment. He'll only go at his convenience.

Bottomline now is that you have gotten his account blocked for no fault of his.

Although the coups are not totally out of place considering continuous misrule by African leaders, I believe we will be looking for trouble if the West African subregion becomes politically unstable. The Jihadist incursions into our territory should be at the forefront now than ever. Any form of weakness will be duly exploited by the jihadists and we really cannot afford such. I have a junior sister of about 21 years of age, finished secondary school in 2019, tried gaining admission but didn't get eventually, also did A level but at the end, there was nothing to show for, this isn't cause she is a dullard but something Sha must end up something, she applied for another A level at Unilag, and was pushing through not until the news of her pregnancy came in, she was two months gone when I got to know, I really tried to persuade her to abort because I was concerned about her Education and our parent feeling but she insisted and I allowed her take her decision, we informed my dad and mum then the big issue starts, right now my dad does not want to have anything to do with her, she is currently living at my dad's junior brother house

The most annoying part to my dad was that she got pregnant to a Christian which my dad would not approve of, even when they tried to talk to him multiple, right now, he does not care if she exist or not, all he knows is she can't live under his roof anymore

I am the elder sister and my consign goes beyond the religion issue, the boys mother is some sort of hell, didn't like my sister and she looks really fetish, the whole family looked cursed to me, the guy is the only one that managed to finish ND and he is currently learning Mechanic after his ND Program, I have tried to persuade my sister to not have the intention of getting married to the guy now, because first she's young, second how would she feed and third that family is a no no, the red flags are just too glaring, Her strong head is just too much which is why I'm putting it out, if she's reading comments from another person maybe she'd pick something, I have invited her as a guest to Nairaland and she would be seeing all your advices. Kindly help us.

Looking for the cause of Nigeria's woes right now is like trying to solve a PhD Advanced Mathis question. There are so many interrelated factors so intertwined that it's difficult to resolve the questions and the answers.
I find it ludicrous for someone to just cast accusing fingers at our theater artists for doing a job of bringing to our awareness the evils that happen in our society. These demonstrations were supposed to awaken your consciousness and make you cautious at all times, bearing in mind that a potential killer is lurking.

The state of ritual killings was not this high 20+ years ago when most of the A-list actors made a name for themselves playing these roles. The reason was that Nigerians were comfortable to an extent at the time. Many Nigerians could afford basic necessities of life and that was just good enough while hoping for better life in the future. Today the basic necessities come at a premium. Besides, most families were closely knit. Life principles were learnt by children from their parents, uncles /aunts, older siblings, neighbors and teachers. Today these people spend most of the time looking for the basic necessities and good parenting is now almost an impossible task.

Most of what the young know as good or bad today is defined by their peers and what is seen on social media. A parent who could afford to spend just 2 hours watching a movie with his kids could easily counsel them about the realities if the movie being watched and that's why they are rated PG in the first instance... Parental Guidance is advised. If the parent fails to restrict and guide his child's interpretation of such movies, it can't be blamed on the producers.

I started watching the VIKINGS series last year and with other European series I have watched I have come to believe that human sacrifices have always been part of human tradition across races. It's not just an African practice like we mostly believe.

The Bible's account told of Abram almost sacrificing Isaac his son to God. That may not have been the first human sacrifice to him, that event may have been highlighted to us in the book to show a switch from human to animal sacrifices as instructed by God and upheld by many religions till date. I believe the practice of human sacrifice and ritual killings still occur covertly in Europe and the Americas.

Years ago I watched the NTA evening news when the story of a very rich man from a certain part of Nigeria was featured. He was said to be one of the richest in his time but it was later discovered that he was a very powerful ritualist.

Of course he died young and his properties were not accessible to anyone 20 years after his death...the actual reason for the news feature. It was said that anyone who stepped feet on that property died soon afterwards. Even the reporters only filmed the exterior of the property. You could tell that a lot of money went into the property as photos of the property before the unfortunate events showed exquisite architectural designs befitting of the palace of a wealthy king.

Unfortunately, this man's enjoyment was short lived. No one can taste from his wealth..., he has shamed his family for eternity. I've had this short newspeice vividly at the back of my mind growing up. This one is not Nollywood.... Its a real life event. It's based on events like these that the Nollywood movies are scripted... If only we could get the messages embedded therein.

Another point here is a shift from our local channels to foreign channels. Many young ones are distant from the realities in the society but can tell you what's happening in Kim Kardashian's marriage, the resolution from British parliament's meeting, the happenings in Buckingham palace, the latest football transfer news, etc. Those 'boring' programs our local channels offer capture the happenings in our communities and subtle counsels are relayed daily but they missed these for foreign content.

Many more factors come to play, but targeting our theatre artists for attack is a very lame way to assess our current realities.

Our town planning system is a mess. There are supposed to be separate routes/lanes for heavy vehicles as well as for bikes and bicycles. We just build regular roads without taking cognizance of these little peculiarities

Crypto has survived all these country policies and maintained good strength, which means it has overpowered their currencies. With the last drop last weekend being because of the Russia ban rumour. My uncle, who is well learned and financially bouyant got married to a lady who barely finished secondary school. At first, our family members felt indignited toward this, but when they saw he was insistence on getting married to her, they let them be. They've been married for ten years now and we do visit them.. One thing I observe about them is; they are happy and also play like small children.

Aside this, I've seen many well-educated men who decided to take less educated or non educated ladies as wife and has always yielded a happy Union. I do say this; is there something about learned men going for less educated ladies.
As for me, I can marry an illiterate. You must be educated as I am..

Education in the true sense occurs at the basic to secondary school level. What happens in tertiary institution is just advancement towards a particular field. A well educated person at secondary level is good to go any time any day. Problem is that the Nigerian education system is so f**ked and many students are non-chalant about acquiring education at the secondary level. The miracle centers are not helping matters at all. I've seen undergraduates who are uneducated.

That said, I wouldn't mind having a secondary school leaver as a wife if she is well educated. We'll grow together.

Big mistake is announcing the imminent sack to her. If she made the sack list twice in a row, she probably deserves it. You should have let it happen naturally.
