I don't think the business should close cos of the masters programme. I stand to be corrected but it seems the post graduate programmes are more flexible than undergraduate. The discussion should centre on how to keep the business running while she starts the programme. She can hire someone to oversee it for an agreed reasonable monthly salary while she goes ahead with her studies and get feedback from her staff periodically.
