Nobody operate on man know man pass China....
They have utmost disregard for ethics or they turn blind eye to corruption if it favours them...
But they 've been able to develop strong institution that ushered in unprecedented prosperity making them the largest economy in the world....

Our problem isn't corruption or lack of ethics.....
Africa's main problem is lack of foresight n lack of passion from our leaders to develop the continent....

Adesina's main problem is poor boardroom political game....
He chose to ignore the sensitivity of some key players in Afdb without giving serious consideration to the consequences.....
Key players that didn't support his candidacy in 2015....
He had 5 yrs to extend the olive branch but decided to use strong head....
Read the article below to gain a better perspective....

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2020/06/afdb-adesinas-travails-betray-naivety-in-the-world-of-realpolitik/

Forget all the talk about corrupt practices, they are tools western nations use to demonize people thay dont like in the eyes of the public....

I also disagree that Africans run down whatever they head....
Ethiopian airline is a good example of Africans exemplary management competence.....
At a time western airline are struggling and seeking govt loans to avoid bankruptcy....
EA is declaring profit n expanding its coast....
U know why....
because the Ethiopian government wanted the airline to work and it did.....
@the bolded, I love this. Ethiopian airlines is a proof that Africans can make things work if they are not lazy

If you look vividly at tenure of every African president that rule in African country, they are all Power Drunk, and always at loggerheads with their fellow counterparts. e.g, Idi_Amin Dada of Uganda, Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, Lorentz Gbagbo of ivory coast, Gambi president, Burundi president who died of recent held the country spell bound for 15years and insisted on a whopping retirement or else he won't,until death pluck him off, Mohammed Gaddafi.. And African president are also tyrant and dictator!!!
Very true, Governance is too poor in Africa for serious development

Africans shud learn to have high standards and ethics in conformity with best global practices. Most of our institutions are plagued with man know man policy and corrupt tendencies. Probably not criminal bt counter productive in the long run.

While I think Adesina is an excellent individual and character to head the Afdb I believe he ahud listen to observations and criticisms of the petitions and work on them. This I believe the bank is already doing.
the man know man thing is not only an African thing but its also widely practiced in developing nations all over the world. It exists too in the western world just that it is minimal. I agree with you that Africa must uphold high ethics standard. The typical African culture is a factor in the way of these high ethical standards
Politics › Re: Aliyu Aziz: Over 100 Million Nigerians Have No Form Of Identification by Goke7: 8:28am On Jun 11, 2020
Meanwhile, I will advise Nigerians especially young people to have at least one National ID as I see many young folks missing out on opportunities that will make their life better due to non-availability of a National ID. Even If you are a student pls get an ID, voters card, drivers licence or an international passport. The cost of getting an ID cannot be compared to a loss of an huge opportunity to make one's lives better
Politics › Re: Aliyu Aziz: Over 100 Million Nigerians Have No Form Of Identification by Goke7: 8:17am On Jun 11, 2020
How National Identity card expires if NIN number is for a lifetime, I don't understand. This is a scam and Nigerians should not fall for it. We renew driver's license, international passport when the expire, are we going to be renewing National card again? This is ridiculous

ONCE A WHITE MAN FIND YOU WANTING that is the end of the road !

Obasanjo can only make NOISE defending Adesina and trying to be a PAN AFRICANIST.

THE AMERICANS believe that as long as their DOLLAR is the centre of attractions in the AFDB they must have a larger say in the way the institutions is being run.

NIGERIA GOVERNMENT THAT REFUSE TO ACCEPT RESTRUCTURING AND GOOD GOVERNANCE will regret all their actions.

I FORESEE MORE TERRIBLE ECONOMIC PROBLEMS FOR NIGERIA AND MOST AFRICAN COUNTRIES DUE TO THE MASSIVE CORRUPTION that Nigeria and most african countries had witness.

I SUGGEST THAT ADESINA RESIGNS FROM HIS POSITIONS TO AT LEAST SAVE THE AFDB from the attack of the western countries.

TAKE OR LEAVE IT the western countries developed the AFDB with their money and take it to the level it is today.

OBASANJO should stop writing USELESS LETTERS that only help to INDICT his kind of person.

ADESINA should resigns now and let the REFORMERS come and mold the banks to International standard.
i don't agree with you, let afdb kuku die off, african nations are not ready at all.

She left because she knew THEY HAVE ARRIVED.... because she knew it won't be long before she will be shown the exit door.. The WHITES are wise, they still remember what Idi Amin did to them, what Shagari did, What Mugabe did.. African Bank should be run by African Man, that's what the African man will say, but it won't be long before it will plunged into bankruptcy and oblivion
Truth be said african countries are not doing very well including the so called south africa and others we feel are better than Nigeria, Honestly Nigeria has been pulling its weight over the years but most African countries are just too lazy to build a strong continent. It also shows that perhaps only Nigeria and may be Ethiopia are truly independent, most africa nations don't even mention the francophone block are still tied to their colonial masters. South Africa, Kenya, Ghana are all noisy nations, they are not independent at all especially economically. real bullshit

The Nigeria govt needs an holistic national orientation for all her citizens especially the young people like myself. Buhari is one of the most intelligent leaders in Nigeria and Africa at large even though his weaknesses are very obvious.

When people compare Buhari to a Dumb racist spearheading things over here, this shows people lack basic understanding of things. He called Buhari lifeless, just because he refused to sign a free trade agreement with the US. He thought Buhari lacks basic understanding of economics.

While shouting China...China...China,..... and all the tweeting and noise. Tesla moved a whooping of $250bn to Shanghai to build Tesla Gigantic Auto plant. A big step towards America becoming importer of Tesla cars just Apple phones, GM, etc.

Buhari, the so called dullard, secured deals with same China to set up a train assembly plant and a University in Nigeria. A step towards industrialized Nigeria. If not for weak institutions in Nigeria, Buhari's performance would be making global headline news.

Edited: Tesla investment in China is about $5bn, kindly correct that not 250.
the insecurity issues with bandits, boko haram and fulani herdsmen are what is taking off the shine of Buhari's strides in infrastructure

I have a big problem with toilet wipes like you. When bugs like you come to the United States, you never vote Republican. You know instantly that the democrats are your friends. It is the democrats that try to help immigrants float along until they can obtain permanent residence or citizenship. It is the democrats that pursue legislation that fosters equality, that targets immigrant-households and alerts them that the government recognizes them. When you are poor, hopeless, and downtrodden in America, it is the Democrats who look out for you and give you hope. The Republicans are all about conservatism, whose definition seems to loosen or tighten depending on what their present leaders are up to.

It is only JEALOUSY, IGNORANCE and SCHADENFREUDE that cause Nigerians to support Trump and his mean immigrant policies, over the Nigerian, Kenyan, Mexican, Venezuelan, Brazilian, Polish, and other immigrants in the US. You're jealous because your life is FC.UKED up in Nigeria and you can't stand the fact that other Nigerians, like you, have escaped the vicious cycle of poverty and disease in Nigeria. How can any right thinking Nigerian support Trump? Trump who treats people who look like you like sh.it. Dem swear for you ni? Onye iberibe.

You're suffering from cognitive dissonance.
guy, don't stress, the trump supporters in Nigeria are the pdp apologists hating on Obama for not supporting their darling pdp and former president jonathan to remain in office beyond 2015. They are yet to recover from the elections defeat in 2015 and can never recover. Their so called support for trump is just one of their consolation to find refuge for their election loss back in 2015. They know the things trump is doing is bad but they must continue to pretend they love him and hide under the guise that trump love Christians and hate Muslims cos they hate northerners too who are majorly Muslims especially the fulanis of which PMB is one. Right inside them they don't like trump but for political expediences to continue to maintain their political support base in Nigeria. We know them too well, don't stress yourself for their lies.

Tinubu actually fought his way to the top by rendering AD comatose.
AD and Afenifere had no leader after the demise of Abraham Adesanya, there was a vacuum and nature abhors vacuum or you think those who have been parading themselves as Yoruba leaders after the death of Adesanya are the kind of leaders that can drive the SW agenda? jokers

Politics is the satisfaction of interests and nothing more. If you think Rauf Aregbesola is the only politician that is plotting this scheme against Tinubu then you'll be in for a surprise.
who fed Tinubu? Name them nah, the only person Tinubu owe is the late Abraham Adesanya who till he died Tinubu gave total respect as he was solely responsible for his nomination as Lagos Governor when the likes of Falae and co never wanted him. Where were all these fellas when Tinubu was funding NADECO. hate him or not Tinubu paid his dues to get to where he is today. Let the others wait for their time and their turn by keep paying their dues.

They were a pedestal for empower youths with a cascading effects

Lemme break it down for you , apart from the education it's provided to audiences and the money audiences won there was also a cascading effect of value

WWTBM :

Ultima Studio was making over 500million Naira a year from that show from the rent of their studio and equipment and they had 100s of staff from light experts to Make up artist , food vendor , carpenters , drivers , camera crew , editors and Anchors dedicated to the show

Project Fame (lemme use Iyanya as an example here so you see the value of the cascading effect )

Apart from discovering musical talents the project Fame show was also a life line to over 200 Nigerians from interior decorators , stage hands , party planners , drivers , dancers , choreographers , musical instruments players, voice coaches , stylist , make up artist , musical mentors and more .

Okay let me run you down through the cascade value chain of the participants using Iyanya .

Project fame discovered Iyanya who went on to become a platinum selling Artist and his success became a platform from which Unit Franklin found his feet and has also used this to help other people like Tekno and many other , today Tekno is a small industry in Nigeria that caters to the livlihood of many ..Now can you see how these things work
all you have said benefits only a few according to your 100s and 200s in a pool of hundreds of millions and there are other current platforms that does the same. those programs are not the kind of stuff that can wipe out poverty from millions of Nigerians

MTN was even exploitative from these shows as millions of poor Nigerians part away with their small change to participate by voting.

After totally wasting over 50 years of oil revenue with nothing to show instead of cutting down their expensive of running a govt that does nothing they are looking for who to extort in the name of tax so they can continue paying themselves armed robber remunerations !!!

This is how these guys Destroyed the lives of MTN local vendors and partners after their dubious fines against MTN and today the Telco doesn't support local businesses and iniatives that much again , that's why you don't have Who wants to be a millionaire again , that's why there is no Project fame again . Personally I know how much my company lost in revenue projection from that same action ..I was in middle of closing out an outdoor ad deal with one of the companies before COVID started and now the Buhari govt toes this path ..Tell me how I can ever like this Buhari ..NEVER!!!!!
to be sincere, what is the true economic value of such programs to majority of Nigerians?
