I've seen and read different people using the word 'Omo-Ale' in this forum and believe me you have been using it wrongly.
Ọmọ in Yoruba means Child.
Ale means concubine or anyone you are in a sexual relationship with but not legally married to.
So literally, Ọmọ-Ale is the child from any relationship that the parents are not legally married.
It does not have anything to do with the tribe of the mother.
So if your mother is Hausa for instance and father is Yoruba. You are a true Ọmọ-ọkọ and a genuine Ọmọlúwàbí. Even the great Sango's mother is not a Yoruba woman but he was crown a king in Yoruba land.

A Yoruba Proverb says Ọmọ Ale ni ọmọ tí ó bá fi ọwọ juwe ilé bàbà ẹ.
Which means a bastard is the child that despise his father's house.

It is so sickening. The Igbos, in hindsight, have been the most detribalised group in this nation. Take away their belligerent nature and you will see it. They supported MKO massively. They supported Obasanjo even against someone as Dim Ojukwu of blessed memory. They supported Yaradua, Jonathan, Atiku in 2019.
And then they decided they support a Nigerian of Igbo extraction and all hell broke lose.

You went to dig up war mermories. For your information, the Igbos fought against Nigeria, not yorubas. The Nigerian army comprises of several tribes in Nigeria - the middle belt, the Hausa, the fulanis, yorubas and southern elements. Go and read your history book.

The Igbos, against all odds, march towards Lagos ,( were stopped at Ore) not because it was a Yoruba land and they wanted it, but because it was the capital of Nigeria.
If that war was fought today, they would be marching towards Abuja.
In military campaign, opposing camps march against capital cities because it is the seat of power and once it falls, the war is won.
The fulanis that are systematically taking your lands, killing, raping and maiming are your friends while the Igbos are your enemies.
While you choke on your hatred for Igbos, your land is under threat and Ilorin is already in their pockets.

I used to see most Yorubas as urbane, exposed and cosmopolitan in nature but recent happenings have shown otherwise. Their elites have sown seeds of discord and the gullible ones are running with
Banky lost because there was a wave of distrust against the old order.
People voted blindly ( for labour) not caring if the recipient of their vote is worthy or not. They where just thumbing for labour in all the electoral category. This same thing happened in Delta state, Edo, and in other parts of Nigeria.
