jaykaylegend:The kind of nitwit that would refer to Hushpuppi as "Nigeria most wanted hacker". These are the kinds of barely literate nincompoops we have heading critical public institutions. No wonder the Mugu always looks like a cattle herder forced into a business suit in spite of his futile efforts to look professional. Whichever deity we offended as a country should forgive us, please. We are very sorry. |
From Ibrahim Mugu to Mohammed Umar Abba to Bala Ciroma... What's the meaning of all this fuckery? Must these sensitive, 'juicy' or powerful offices be held by useless northerners? Who did we offend? |
We've never had it so bad. Not even under Abacha did we experience this kind of reckless tyranny. Why would you arrest and place the man in handcuffs for "praying" to God to destroy Nigeria's biggest problem? |
Willing seller, willing buyer certainly applies here. From the get go you know that these guys are ruthless shylocks... Their outrageous interest rates, repayment terms, default penalties, and recovery tactics are not hidden in fine print. They're well known (or easily knowable upon inquiry) to potential borrowers.... But no. Because you need money by all means you nogo hear word. The usual desperation and money-weakness of Nigerians wouldn't let them avoid the miserable morsel of bread in the lion's yawning mouth. Dem go greedily chook hand inside lion mouth to comot shikini crumbs wey dey there, only to later shout when baba crush their mumu hand. Una dey mad. |
Illiterates. He never had a Wikipedia page to begin with. Anyone can have a Wikipedia page.. Even legendary fraudsters, drug barons, deadly gang leaders, mass murderers and other category of persons more evil than Hushpuppi's entire lineage have Wikipedia articles on them. Wikipedia's mission is to inform. Not to celebrate morals or endorse anyone as a symbol of 'goodness'. You miserable, moralistic, hypocritical losers on Nairaland never disappoint with your idiocy. |
Professor Kperogi is in a class of his own... Unrivalled master of the written word. I thoroughly enjoy reading his compelling, spell-binding exposés. No one does it better. |
sulaak:Don't be stupid. You should try to think before quoting someone smarter than you. Irregular activity should trigger an investigation. That's not the point. I know about the so-called money laundering laws more than you do. Has the investigation been done to ascertain the criminality or otherwise of the funds? Why should the ICPC arrest and detain the woman and then rush to the media to shout money laundering when it hasn't concluded investigation? Is that how it is done by competent security agencies in serious countries? |
LaIabobo:At the bolded, according to which law exactly? Cite that law here. You people just make wild and ridiculous claims. The onus of proof is always on the accuser. I can't bother to explain nonsense to anyone, and I'm under no compulsion to do so. ICPC should do the hard work of investigating whether a crime has been committed and taking action based on the outcome of that investigation. You can't just arrest a person and rush to the media to shout money laundering because you saw money in someone's account. Besides, the woman has already stated the money was sent from her son OVERSEAS. Doing business abroad. Is that not enough explanation? Would you start asking every Nigerian abroad to explain what they do for a living before remitting their hard earned money home? This whole nonsense is annoying. |
SATANNIST:That's the problem with these fools in Nigeria's security agencies. When they can't find any crime to pin you down with, they use that nebulous and ridiculous charge they call 'money laundering'. What is money laundering? You haven't established that the source of the money is illegal, yet you're making stupid assumptions because you expect people to remain poor and miserable. Bastards. |
LaIabobo:ICPC received a petition about the money in the account NOT about its source or any so-called transaction. So the only 'crime' here is that the woman had x amount on her account. |
Jokers. |
Annoying country. You don't know the source of the money and yet you're rushing to freeze the account, initiate forfeiture processes, and arrest the poor woman. Have you established that the money was proceeds of crime? So someone abroad cannot send money to his own mother again. Everybody must remain poor. Stupid idiots. |
MrGerald:Very rusty and backwards indeed. |
Of course, I believe her. Even the Lekki property wey him dey live, na him papa buy for am. Davido doesn't have personal 'funds' of N500m+ to buy a property. Yeah he is the star of the family, but no be only am him papa born. The boy wastes all his income putting up appearances and servicing the jobless louts that follow him up and down forming 30b gang. Not much left to accumulate for expensive acquisitions. Even the dead old model Porshe Cayenne that he supposedly bought for Chioma, we never see am. Chioma hasn't owned it or driven it for one day. Why you no close eye buy am 'ordinary' Benz of 20-30m? Till date she no get her own motor. Dey there. |
Reactionary, clout chasing foools |
And the pastor was dumb enough to authorise the girl's murder within his own church premises? When the so-called killers could have easily ambushed her on the road? Come on. This is cock and bull story. Someone is trying to frame up the pastor. |
Odelora... Heavy title. Money didn't buy this one. Sleep well sir. You lived a truly accomplished and fulfilled life. |

rossi49ja:He was not assassinated. This is classic opportunistic, senseless and needlessly brutal Fulani highway kidnapping modus operandi. These Fulani idiots just position themselves in the middle of the highway and open fire on unfortunate oncoming vehicles in the bid to force them to a halt. Anyone who dies in the process is ignored, while survivors are kodnapped. Without any remorse for sounding bigoted, this is why I absolutely abhor these Fulani bastards. Southern criminals would at least have some sense and systematic modus operandi. Only these senseless abokki idiots would just open fire anyhow in the middle of the road without caring if a potentially valuable kidnap target dies in the process. If you need to force a vehicle to stop in order to kidnap its occupants, why not target the tires and so forth? Nope. These murderous fools always aim at the front windscreen and sides, shooting to kill the driver and other unfortunate occupants. That's how they killed Alex Badeh, the Fasoranti daughter, and many other high profile victims. |
SeverusSnape:I dey tell you. Although Lords still have some modicum of decency (since they don't admit low lives), but the rest of the 'popular' ones are now populated by miscreants and misfits. Street-level primary school dropouts and jobless idiots parading around forming frat. It's just disgusting. |
I'm not sure I've been shocked by any celebrity demise news like this since Michael Jackson's passing in '09. Oh dear. These are the cultural icons I grew up with. This kind of thing casts a sombre cloud upon the atmosphere. What's in the so-called life again? Nothing. |
Nooooo! What is this? |
Na wa o. |
Technically, not really about sex per se. What he means, which I agree is a solid principle for success, is to abstain from distractions and maintain single minded focus on your goal for an extended period of time. Such distractions could be women, porn, Nairaland itself, social media, video games, friends/socialising, unnecessary waka waka, any addiction, etc. You wouldn't believe the huge amount of untapped mental energy dissipated on these distracting and frivolous activities, which prevents you from achieving success. Sometime in the past (a few years ago), I fanatically forced myself to abstain from all distractions for as long as possible and zero my spirit/energies on something I badly needed to achieve. I could only go for about 2 months, but it worked wonders. I achieved my goal. The ideas came naturally and the motivation to work on the ideas also came naturally. I wish I could go for a whole year without distractions. I would achieve enough to last me a lifetime. Come to think of it what is one year in your life that you can't 'sacrifice' for a greater future? If for example, you are offered N1billion on the condition that you would first go to prison (solo confinement) for one year, wouldn't you take the offer? |
So because you have her phone number, you feel you must comment on her WhatsApp DP or status? You think she uploaded the WhatsApp status because of people like you? Why not simply look at it (if you must) and mind your fucking business? Don't you know your boundaries? Too many of you lack social intelligence, and you suffer needless misfortune as a result. |
donstan18:FOUL expectation of gratefulness? Are you fucking kidding me? What is foul about expecting someone you've stuck out your neck for to do even a basic thank you? You Nigerians have a ridiculously evil sense of entitlement, it makes me sick. Even God expects to be praised and thanked "whether good or bad", so what's your point? Jeez. |
Keep deceiving yourselves. What does the barely qualified, incompetent abokki who could not even pass ICAN know about anything? Besides, these routine "transfers" in the civil service mean NOTHING. It is an annoying game of musical chairs. A sisyphean routine signifying idiocy rather than progress. As near impossible as I admit it will be, all the deadwood fools, in their hundreds of thousands, employed by government at all levels need to be SACKED, and the services reorganised and re-populated on an OPEN merit-driven basis. Otherwise you would keep fooling yourselves with these meaningless 'shake ups'. After sustained, unconscionable, senseless nepotistic employment of idiots into agencies like the FIRS and the rest of them (including NNPC, CBN, etc and even the security agencies) with incompetent idiots, any new head would come and claim massive 'shake up' - transfers and redeployment OF THE SAME PEOPLE... All of whom know nothing and would therefore achieve nothing. 0 x 0 + 0 - 0 divided by 0 = 0! Nigeria is not a country. Not even a zoo.. That would be unfair to animals. I can't say for sure what this worthless contraption is. |
armadeo:Na me you wan tell? I know exactly how this thing works. I've had my fingers burnt. It is ridiculous. I had to close down my only brick and mortar business which didn't allow me control the cash flow process 100%. I laid off the bastards and closed down the business, and went on a very long hiatus to perfect my business model for subsequent ventures. I also redefined my other business which placed too much creative control on certain employees. Their lazy, wicked and incompetent asses would destroy your business's hard earned quality reputation and send you back to the village. God forbid. Now I only run (and will only ever run) businesses where I either have full control (or technology enabled supervision) of receiving and disbursing ALL payments, or the process can be automated to a large extent. If I have Nigerian staff, it is only for administrative tasks. I can't even trust them with customer service because if they don't see any avenue to collect money and defraud you, they will chase away your precious customers with their very terrible winchy attitude. Because they see you living a certain lifestyle that YOUR own entrepreneurship affords you, they would start sulking and expecting 1000000% salary increase, even without commensurate output/performance on their part. Terrible idiots. That's why so many of them can only hope for government work and the likes, so that they can collect free money without adding value. |
Nonsense. The average Nigerian employee is incompetent, unresourceful, over entitled, unscrupulous, criminally minded (would defraud or steal from you at ANY given opportunity), and typically has a poor attitude to work. You don't expect an entrepreneur to share his rewards with your sorry ass for your mediocre contribution. If you don't like the terms of your employment (and if you don't like the fact that there's little opportunity to steal), then you QUIT. |
sodiqapril:You have no idea. If I can absolutely identify the irritating animal behind that moniker, I would place a hefty price on his head. No jokes. |
