Men, this december na something else o, lost three clients to the big boys, put a dampner on things, office is just flat jare, hoping for better things next year. |
@Chydoo MPLS is not a full mesh thing o, imagine running hub and spoke architecture on your provider network, you do not need any full mesh configuration, you can use route reflectors and multi-protocol BGP to carry your vpn connections over the label switched paths. The important thing about MPLS is the underlying IGP, you mess that up, your MPLS will not work, also when running ospf over frame relay, run network type point to multipoint (because of the way ospf carries next hop information). I am quite excited about mpls because of its traffic engineering capabilities and the fact that when fully deployed by tier 1 providers, qos on the internet can be achieved. |
@GenBuhari Buhari also built one of the refineries, the problem with Nigerians is that they need to be delivered from themselves before they can be delivered from their leaders. Everybody interested should read Sanusi's article on Buhari. |
I lost a lot of respect for her when she did all she could to become a minister, she also did not help her cause by arm twisting Ayoka to declare the PDP aspirant in Ekiti as the winner. She did a good job in NAFDAC and must be applauded for that. She needs to go back to Anambra to offer herself to her people, if they want her, no wahala. |
labalaba Why Ekiti and Osun, is it because your people lost, abeg those judges affirmed the people's choice jare (but if you get connection to oyinlola, I no go mind share some of the loot o) |
Buhari will definitely get my vote, it seems strange that the one man who does not give a damn about the cabal is the one being dismissed here, whoever we vote in will be the leader we deserve. |
Grace bent senator from adamawa is a yoruba woman. |
@HP ( u know compaq no exist again) The principles might be the same but the differences are significant, the competition in telecoms is keen, in power, competition is not going to play a major role. |
@Ajalenkoko God will bless you plentifully, privatisation in naija has a different meaning o. |
@Uju Exactly, you will not believe that our Senators have shares in MTN, will they now jeopardize their interests in that company? |
What I have got out of the wikileaks so far. 1) Jonathan is a weak leader, Nigeria will be better if we install his wife, at least she has some backbone 2) The US wants free and fair elections in Nigeria, our leaders do not 3) Abdusalami is a honorable thief, he was there to hold the nation together when Jonathan was acting chicken. 4) Dambazzau (sp) was neutral ( Yar adua peeps probably had something on him) 5) Shell is a bastard organisation ( Say hello to Capitalism) |
People should please stop comparing the telecoms industry to the power industry, they are two very different sectors, you can cover the whole of nigeria with telecomms facilities for the cost of just 3000 MW. I am a little bit skeptical because I feel that we will be extorted by the private companies, but, that is the road the government wants to travel, that is what we have to prepare ourselves for. One issue I have is after power is privatised and subsidy is removed from petroleum products, what next will they privatise, education? health, federal roads? What is the function of the Government, people keep saying privatise this, privatise that when we do not have any safety net. We need to vote in leaders who have the interest of the people at heart so that when privatisation issues crop up, they will make sure that the effects will not be debilitating. |
Asked a friend who works in Mobil about this and he said the company told them they had not reached any settlement with the guy, he also said as far as Mobil is concerned, the guy has no case and that is why they pay their SANs anyway. |
I do not see what is illegal about this, the state government is responsible for safety on the roads, for your information, 90 percent of driver's license is processed by the state government, the FRSC only takes your pictures and print. |
We really need to save Nigerians from themselves before we can save them from our leaders, Sanusi was asked to deliver a lecture on Inflation at the convocation ceremony of the Igbinedion University, the guy made a mention of the jumbo pay being received by our leaders and everybody wants to crucify him, how I wished he had allowed the banks to fail. He is the only civil servant I have seen that is ready to speak his mind, I will rather be told what the true state of the economy so as to know what to do to improve the conditions than be told lies by my government, the guy oozes integrity and if we had more people like him in public offices the nation will be better for it. The 25 percent thing is correct because the minister even confirmed it, how can 500 people spend over 154 billion naira in emoluments in a year for God sake, Obama earns a quarter of what the Senate president earns while Nigeria's economy is not up to 10 percent of the US, e ma gba wa lowo awon ako ti ile ta won yi o. |
@Sapele Please direct question 1 to GEJ, question 2 to DMO and question 3 to either GEJ, Aganga or the Commerce Minister. |
They can circumvent the interconnect by dumping the calls as voip calls jare, they it out of naija to india and bring it back in. I am sure the guys that drafted our telecommunication laws did not think of that loophole. |
Nsiman You are asking me to put up with an incompetent president for five years? I will be happy if they can reduce their tenure, what are they trying too achieve in 7 years that can not be done in four years? |
@Mshittu You want our inefficient Nigerian Government to pump water to the North? A government that can not pump water within a city, do you want them to submerge half of the south west, imagine anenih giving the contract to some of buddies, na to turn lagos - ibadan expressway to atlantic ocean, abeg lets look for another solution jare. |
@Irapada I believe they "earn" about 21m per month. |
@ikeyman I could not have put it better, why do we vote humongous amounts of money to re-lay roads that were done, it is not as if they are going to blast some rocks or carve out a new path. I see road construction being done and I just shake my head, why can we not have concrete underlay, why is the bitumen not mixed with granite like I saw on Top Gear, why do we not do things the right way the frigging first time? |
@Mike So we should thank a thief for not stealing? You think it is easy for a major to become the Head of State in Nigeria? The other Generals did not fear Mustapha, they were afraid of Abacha, if Mustapha had tried that nonense, Bamaiyi would have had his behind kicked all the way to his village. |
Xavier maybe you should stand up then, so that you can see far. Sanusi has always backed up his claims with facts, we Nigerians need people who will tell us things as they are. I will rather be told the gloomy news than finding out later when it is too late. Our bankers were cowboys doing what they liked, Sanusi not only exposed them, he also addressed the issues by bailing them out ( I wish he had not, see oil marketers asking for bailout as well). Legislators spending money in a reckless manner need to be exposed. Let me do a small arithmetic for you, what Mark earns in a year is enough to pay 55,000 workers minimum wage in a year or he can empower 55,000 people (216K per person), in 4 years his salary and allowances are enough to empower 220,000 people to start some small business, imagine if he spends that money on his constituency, will their life not be better? We need these people ridiculed. |
Xavier abeg go and sit down jare, Sanusi is telling us how people are plundering the economy and you are calling it loose talk, what should he do, connive with the lawmakers to plunder us some more, please listen to the radios and hear how Nigerians are now questioning the bogus amounts these people are chopping, the man dies in him who in the face of tyranny keeps silent. |
The Jetty and private tank firm guys can go to hell, are they asking that court orders be disobeyed, abeg let Mobil, Total and others lift oil jare. The Nupeng guys should go to court and stop disrupting economic activities. I am surprised that the Government does not have a reserve from where fuel can be distributed ( say a sixty day reserve). |
Fashola is also repairing the road to my house, kai, that road has caused me several shocks and stabilizers, can he please extend it to my estate as well (afterall he is collecting tenement rate) |
Sanusi keeps speaking the mind of the ordinary Nigerian, I wish we had more Sanusi in Government. |
If he is found guilty, we can always find a reddington for him, with the way things are going, the UK will jail more of our politicians than we will do. How are we going to get out of this bloody mess that our leaders are putting us. |
@Abagworo Better late than never, may they continue to fight with themselves so that they will be exposed, may they take their corruption and stealing outside the shores of Nigeria where prosecutors who are no respecter of persons will go after them. |
@dapo There is nothing good about this and they are as vision less as anything, we need them to upgrade the existing ones, we need that money spent to make the existing universites grade A schools, it is not the quantity that you churn out that mattes, it is the quality of your graduates, if the institutions existing can only cater to 30 percent, let them upgrade them quality wise while admitting 30 percent, the remaining 70 percent can do distance learning, part time or whatever. We need to place emphasis on quality. |
I was going by his words, anyway they are all liars and thieves. I pray that the long arm of Justice catches up with all of them naughty leaders |
@Kobo This GEJ presidency is a warm up, una nefa see looting, let him get his own presidency. I found out that it was while Buhari was petroleum minister that the PH refinery was built and it was done in 9 months ( one professor mentioned it on Star FM), can anyone confirm this? |
