I got married because i found someone i wanted to spend my life with n i wanna have kids, but not out of wedluck, some girls marry 4 the wrong reasons i do agree with that.

I think you despised Nigerian women (for whatever reason), so when you got to the states, you were willing to
settle for any woman as long as she wasn't Nigerian.

I don't think you really knew for certain what you were looking for in a woman when you hooked up with the
mothers of your two daughters, the bottom line for you then is that they weren't Nigerian.

Perhaps the need for legal permit/green card played a role in your association with these women.

Now, you seem to realize those non-Nigerian women are no better after all. So, you are giving
your earlier stand on Nigerian women a second thought.

The real question is, what is it about Nigerian women that you despised in the first place ? This, to me, is
part of the root of your problem.

i agree with Tonim, wat is it about Nigerian women that you didn't like or wanted to stay away from, because we all know 90% of american women r no good, its really hard to find a good one.

i would advice you to find a nigerian girl who is already in the U.S, instead of going back home because every girl in naija wants to come to america, so learn from other guys mistakes,

for some reason u women think marriage is where everything ends. una go tell me if na marriage go put food for table and put cloth for una body.

Don't get me wrong, marriage is not where everything ends, but i still stand by what i said. when a guy sees a woman he immediately decides if he just wants a one night stand or more than that (which sometimes depends on where you meet the woman, her personality, how she is dressed, what kind of family she comes from and sometimes after speaking to her for less than a hour). you can spend 10 year getting to know a man but you still would not know 1/2 of his character, for some reason their bad character comes out when you get married to them. (not for all guys but 80%). so yes 6 months is too long to decide if i am the one for you, cuz after one month, if you guys are truthful with each other you should be able to learn alot about that person, and you can never know a man or a woman's character unless you live with them, so marriage is like a game, you win or lose or you work really hard not to lose.

Well anyway i just got married 2 months ago. I Love my hubby so much and everything about him trips me, but what trips me the most is the way he
- apologizes when he is wrong (not many nigeria guys apologize when they are wrong)
- plans for our future
- smiles when he comes home from work and i open the door to let him in
- reminds me that i never said I Love you, (I don't say it when i am pissed off at him)
- eats up every meal i cook, and tells me i love your cooking
- when he wears a tight shirt with his muscles bulging out
- helps me in the kitchen, and after i cook, he wouldn't allow me to do the dishes (he does it himself) saying you should rest
- kisses me
- Calls me from work to see how i am doing at home, work
- comes home from work early and cooks for me (which is sexy, i love a man who can cook, though all he knows how to cook is pasta)

I gotta agree with ChyChy on this one, I mean after 10 years what are you still doing with a man who hasn't decided he wants to marry you yet, i wouldn't put my life on hold for someone to decide if he really wants to be with me, having a kid together should even hasten that decision, but your so called fiancee is so reluctant to make that decision. I would say have a heart to heart talk with 'HIM' you guys should lay out all your options and if you both are working then you would definately be fine, and to top it up, ur dad likes him alot.
the fact of the matter is Hun, you ain't getting any younger, no need waiting for a man to decide on issues concerning your life, take a bold step and see if it works out with 'HIM', you guys should talk and give it a try, if it works out then that will be all great, from the look of things it might work out, because for a guy to do all he did for you, it show he care a great deal about you.

Imagine my surprise when i was in naija seeing 2 men hold each other's hands and even hold each other's body while walking or sitting.
