igbojay: My girl of 12 years (now wife) is pregnant and I am beginning to experience what pregnancy does to a hard working lady. She is trying to keep up but she is struggling.
There is just a little spike in her cravings for now. She has alotta self control and she knows i won't take bullshit from her. I try to keep up with her cravings at times, but at other times na ignore mode jare. She likes home made meal but these days, she prefers The Place asun with homemade palm oil rice. She does not eat all the time, but if she sit down eat, hmmmmmmmm. She dey finish work. There is always food at home.
I have always loved to spoil her with food from day one. We are both foodie . She likes homemade meal and I am blessed she is never sick. So to buy food nor be issue.
But I have observed she likes to sleep these days. I mean loads of sleep, and its zero nagging these days. I am presently enjoying my quiet time at home.
I would love her to stop work and rest at home. I am presently considering taking a course online for a second job of 20hrs a week to cover for her staying at home.
I can't wait to hold my twins and have a mini me to play with. Don't mind me, i love kids more than anything else. Except God. Lol...please take some bullshit o. Seems your wife has always been the peaceful type. I wish you the best. Your twins will be beautiful and healthy. All the best! |

thorpido: Op,this is the key question. It's not about marrying a guy who has little,it is about marrying the right man....a man of integrity, good character and fear of God.Whether you marry a poor guy or rich guy,if his character is faulty,it's still a wrong choice. You know NL guys would have brought out their armour tanks if she had said the guy was rich. So she had to be clear. If not you would have heard.. "Shebi you wanted a rich guy..." "God don catch you" ...and the likes. To most of them, only marrying a struggling guy justifies what she's going through. |

Beejaynma: Hmmmm, i married him because prophets (about 5 different prophet) told me he's my husband and I will regret it if I did not marry him. It seems like you actually live your life with prophets' advice and predictions. Or how on earth did you meet 5 prophets? Did you coincidentally meet them at different times while you were just strolling on the road? Or you were going from prophet to prophet looking for what wasn't lost? You should have a say in who you marry. Now where are the prophets? |

Some people should not bother getting married. These kind of men have a twisted idea about marriage probably from what they saw growing up or their own formed mindsets.
They just want to be treated like kings.
All of you quoting me about nothing wrong in a husband wanting to be treated like a king. I agree, if he's treating his wife like a queen and not a servant. |

The kind of man that can do this is full of hatred, unforgiveness and bitterness. He thinks he achieved his plan, but meanwhile all the time he kept her in mind, hatching a plan, he was actually holding himself down. Hatred does more harm to the person carrying it.
The bride shouldn't waste her tears, but thank her God that she escaped a mean man. |

delishpot: My dear, that people endure something doesn't mean it is normal. Some people endure hunger for a few weeks or even months under some circumstances, some endure pain when trapped in places etc but that doesn't mean if they can manage it they wouldn't want relief ASAP. Under frustration, abandonment, lack etc people can endure things that on a good day they will not wish even their enemies to endure. Like I said, go ask your mom about these things. You are a man and will NEVER understand. You might show sympathy and support but you will never understand. Me I think the fact that people give in to something doesn't mean it's normal or it's the way it should be. It's easier to succumb than to endure. |

Prechy08: yeah, you might be right, the fact is that some woman had this weird craving during pregnancy. Yes there are cravings but they can be managed. And it depends on those that can hold back and suppress it. If it's impossible to control it, all pregnant women would be going to be beg for sweet smelling food everywhere. I didn't see my sisters, friends and relatives act that way. So I know for sure that the cravings are not uncontrollable or life threatening. |
Family › Re: Pregnant Women Craving For Weird Things by ImaIma1(f): 10:20am On Mar 22, 2020 |
Prechy08: u never can tell, I have one in my office now, she will pinch everyone's food in the lunch room. ones she see you there eating It depends on how the person is or her relationship with her colleagues. You can imagine someone who keeps to herself suddenly starts pinching everybody's food. Most times pregnancy magnifies what is already there. Someone here said her neighbour that hardly greets her came to beg for food. She pointed out that the neighbour was someone that used to buy everything that passes before she was pregnant. For me, no matter how the food smelt, I never went to my neighbours, that I even relate well with, to beg for food. My husband would have even frowned at such behaviour. |

oodua1stson: people have learned to ask for the other side of the story especially when it involves women. In relationships women are diabolical liars! Just last week one called her friend in my OWN HOUSE that I want to kill her. This is someone who I ignored her wahala and I was in the sitting room pressing phone. My ex wife said I used jazz to marry her when I dumped other girls for her which she knew.
Truth is, I can never believe any woman's sob stories. Oh...your husband beat you? Sorry is all she will get from me. No sympathy or getting angry until I can confirm it's true.
My experience with women lying to tarnish men eh....like WizKid said.....I can't explain This is the bias I am referring to. The example of your friend is yours alone. It doesn't mirror every woman. Stop generalizing. |

Davash222: No reasonable guy here will support a guy when he's wrong. Rather, girls here do that alot. Some of them hide under "Girls forever". You should take your lectures to your fellow girls. That means most guys here are unreasonable. Check that thread about the guy that came to say very heavy hurtful things about his wife and how she was mistreating him. Guys here just came in droves insulting the woman without thinking. Even after the wife cleared the air and he confirmed her story, the guys still maintained their bias stance. So it's actually the guys that do "boys forever" |

I think it's the other way round. A lady will complain about how her husband is mistreating her.
Guys on this forum will still turn it around to make it her fault. To them, the man can never be wrong. It must be something the woman is doing. And then they want to hear from the man's side first.
When a man makes a complaint about his wife, the men will gather and rebuke the wife. And guess what? They won't ask to hear her side of the story. |
