airmark: Good video concept but badly executed. My thought exactly! Flavour should have been in a traditional attire instead of Japanese kimono They have good shots but the editing was poorly executed. Nice try though! 70% |

sexymoma: please what is going on with this celebs turning to saint, Liz Benson is now an evangelist, eucheria too, Now it Taribo./ The answer is either one or the other. Ans 1. A lot of celebrities (ex-footballers and actors/actresses) have died in recent time. So to break the yoke, one has to get closer to God. Ans 2. That is where the money is. All these later-day prophets/prophetesses are no longer at the peak of their careers. So they port to the next best thing. As in private jet levels. // Disclaimer: I could be wrong. |
This girl had so many suitors cos she fine die. Each time she set her young sister up to be crying when each of them (me inclusive) arrives. If you ask the small girl, she would tell you that she lost her dad's money ( To claim big boy, guys dey pay. Na the mechanic wey dey in front of their house told me it was all "game" after I don pay finish. Chei! Long story short, I left the hustler alone and counted the N2k as cost of doing business. |

VAQAXY: @InvertedHammer:I know Awka very well. I went to school in Awka back in the days when Joneb was ond of the reigning godfathers. From Ekwunife's hotel to Palos Verdes (lawyer with a hat) hotel. I know the owners of most hotels in Awka on personal level. When Queens Suite was started by the brothers I mentioned earlier, I was there. Truly, Awka has changed a little bit. But as a city...NO WAY! A lot of happenings is around Iyi-Agu. I am a night-crawler. Driving around Awka at night has some eerie feelings to it especially if you hit the expressway from the Iyi-Agu/Unizik entrance. And when NEPA strikes, the little you can make out of the city is eroded. It is developing but it is still far behind as a state capital. Infact, it is an eye sore. I think it is the least developed state capital in Nigeria, especially considering how resourceful Anambra people (of course I am from Anambra) could be. The first time I went to Twitter Lounge was with a member of the House of Assembly. The inside of the club is first class. I bow for the owner. Ekwunife's hotel is a den of female prostitutes at night. Around Marble Arc, nothing. Pokobros own is nice but too close to the freeway for comfort. Ngige's hotel is nice too. Most new developments in Awka are only students' hostel and hotels. And these are haphazardly outlined without any planning. Am I lying? |
Diasporan: Nigerians should emulate the Ghanian-American Comedian Michael Blackson. His originality and African accent earned him his popularity and friendship with top celebrities in AmericaYou need to separate comedy/acting from reality. Michael Blackson is acting a script to fit a certain mindset. In real life, Michael sounds so akataish you wont believe it. When you come to Rome, do like Romans. You cannot fully assimiliate into any culture if the citizens cannot understand you.Our typical heavy accent has been hindrance to a lot of people's careers. There could be exceptions. If you cannot effectively communicate (oral and written) in English, you will be bypassed in promotions into management positions. You have all the odds against you: Black, foreigner, thick accent,....etc. So to progress, you need to up your game. Don't blame the player;blame the game. |
VAQAXY: Welcome to TWITTER LOUNGE AWKA./ Awka is a glorified village. City life is zero. It seems that without Ogodo, Lionman and Ofu Nwa's input (the 3 Nanka bros) Awka will be dead. Like the Twitter Lounge by the way // |
Why do I buy designer labels; 1. Perfection: These Labels put in more effort into everything. E.g.. China would give you a well made knock-off Designer sunglasses, but you havent known Quality shades until you wear a Polarized lens or a truly 100% UV protective lens. Move past lenses to finishing.. I have my tailors in Naija that make really killer outfits, but when you place a Vera Wang wedding gown next to a Chidinma Tailored gown, the Difference is OBVIOUS. When you wear a 100% authentic designer outfit, you feel a ceraatin level of confidence. 2. Quality: Try spraying a Tom Ford Perfume and one of these random perfumes you find on the streets.. Then you'll understand. Everything is taken into consideration. A Handbag made from Crocodile skin is truly made from croc skin and not synthetic material that would tear after a few weeks. 3. Class: It sets you apart from the rest. Thats why those who wear the fake suits would leave the fake designer tags on it just to make people recognize them. Well!! A Man who knows the quality of what he is wearing does not need to advertise it.. #Game recognize game. 4. Durability: Top of the line designer stuffs last longer as most times they are hand crafted and not factory sewn. 5. Mark of quality.. Thats why you know the name. ![]() 6. And most importantly, I can afford it.. SO why not!
Interesting read. You just concluded that if it does not have a designer label on it, it becomes automatically fake. Are you mixing the question: Designers vs. bland? OR Designers vs. knock-offs? Personally, if it fits my taste, I buy. If you look at the Men's Fashion Magazines sometimes, you cannot help but wonder who dresses those guys. I have seen people wear designers for the heck of it and end up looking worse than ever. The same company in China makes Gucci, Prada and bland eye glasses. Same design, but different labels and different prices. $250, $180 and $45 respectively. The bland does not have to worry about cost of advertising and bogus overhead. And that's what buyers are paying for b/c if you are smart enough you should be able to know good materials from bad ones. Go figure! And you know the biblical saying---a fool and his money are easily parted. Eve Mike Tyson donning his extravagant toga testified that "no matter how much effort you put in making money, there are people who work twice as hard to separate you from it. Among those people are marketers. Pekele and plantain chips anyone? Yeah! Just like fools that pay more to own Infinity instead of Nissan, Lexus instead of Toyota, Lincoln instead of Ford. You are driving the same thing! |

jusRadical: Please mr spyder I would like you to explain to us how you would construct a duplex (one storey building) in 60 days.Concrete curing..in-situ concrete...I can tell that you are one of those that build on paper. Leave textbooks out of this and come to real world---where textbooks matter a little. My people have a saying that " ka mmiri maa block putara na ego agwugo " (a builder that says he is waiting for curing of concrete by rain is indirectly telling you that he/she has run out of money) |
swtedy: Did I hear 8.8m for a five bedroom duplex? That not possible Ooº°˚ ˚°ºo to achieve such a project with that little amount please go to your quantity surveyor to do a working bill fot you before you run into trouble. Apparently most of you don't know anything about building houses. You rely on unscrupulous contractors who over-quote on materials to rip clients off. I just finished a four storey building at Nkpor in Anambra State. I was physically there a good number of times and that shaved millions from the quotes I was getting from the contractor. I had to fire the contractor and used direct labour under the supervision of the engineer. You will be amazed at how fast and cheaper things get done. @ Spyder. Don't mind the naysayers who know little or nothing about building. I wonder at what point N8 million became little money. And we are talking about a building with no decking, minimal conduit wiring, etc.especially the fact that you are using your own labourers. Smart move. Those labourers are usually loyal since they know that you will give them jobs instead of sitting at "ogbo mmanu" waiting for turns. Perhaps folks are looking at the grossly marked-up prices that developers throw at them after building those low quality houses. As inter alia stated, keep up the good work. As you continue to prove your worth, more people sure will patronize your services. Good luck. |

I can't say this enough.... Summer time in USA (May-August) is the best time for scalping. Buy/Sell and Hold during this period is dangerous. Good luck ladies and gentlemen! |
@Okija Juju: I am beginning to suspect you. 2015 is nigh and after Patience Jonathan visited PH, you have turned into government and police apologist. Are they still recruiting "otimkpu" cos I have some "ndi akpu obi" in dire need of work? Don't worry your position will not be threatened..you will remain the "area father". ![]() By the way, Nigeria needs to change some of her laws. I just stumbled unto a document that states that in Nigeria a police officer can use firearm to stop a suspect who is fleeing from arrest. I bet you the public does not know this. Kinda scary if you ask me. |
FILEBE: bro. he is right. he thought outside the box.who knows if USA has planted a bug there? a tracker or something ... except that Nigeria will restructure the whole thing againOf course, it will be bugged. It is called Intelligence gathering. USA thinks and plans more than centuries ahead. The intel gathered may not be useful today but it does not negate the fact that it may be in years to come. Long live USA! Get them suckers! |
